Surprise! Located in the middle of a strip mall, never would have stopped if I hadn’t read Unilocal reviews! Excellent sushi(that’s all we had)! Great service and quick stop for lunch!

Very disappointed over the last few months. The rolls are much smaller the fish is much less and the prices are more. Is there a new owner? or is there a new Chef? Love this place for the last 12 years but the last few months have been so disappointing I won’t go back for a long time or until I hear that it has changed back for the better again.

Food was delicious… the place looks nondescript from outside, but once you get in its a whole different world. I tried the red curry, fried rice and sushi… all excellent. Good place to chill out after a day of snorkeling or scuba in the ocean.

Recently moved from a city with endless Asian options to key largo where you can count every Asian establishment on one hand. That being said, this is definitely one of the better choices in the area. The restaurant is small and quirky and the staff is polite and reliable. I was pleasantly surprised to find the sushi was actually good quality/delicious after going to some of the other hyped up sushi bars with high hopes, only to be terribly disappointed. Defiantly my go to place to fill my sushi fix. The only downside is, it’s kinda pricey which is understandable I guess since all the sushi places here are, but at least here, I think it’s actually worth it. And they carry Sapporo! #score

The only place for the freshest and authentic Sushi and Thai Food in the upper Keys. We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been consistent quality and service even when they’re busy. The staff is always pleasant and you’ll have a beverage in front of you on no time. The Owner Num many times is making the Sushi behind the counter. 10 stars!

I ate here recently during our trip to Key Largo. We ordered a mix of sushi rolls and a couple Thai dishes to split. Both were very good. I really like the Pad SuiEe(spelling?) with tofu. The drink specials and prices were good too. I can’t really comment on the raw sushi, but the rolls that we had were very tasty, and there were about egg big pieces in each roll. people in our party.

Num Thai is a great place. I’ve been in town for two weeks and have eaten the food four times already. The first time I sat at the sushi bar and had the pleasure of meeting Num. The other three times I ordered take-out sushi. Either way, the sushi was fresh and delicious. I also tried the pad-Thai and it was good. The prices are reasonable, especially for the Keys. The rolls are big, you get about 10 pieces in each one. The hand rolls are cone shaped and a little smaller but they cost less too. Business is brisk so you know it must be good. Try it!

This was not the worst sushi I’ve ever had, but it’s not what many reviews here led me to expect. The weirdest part was the large amount of rice in the rolls while the individual sushi pieces had barely enough. We got two rolls, one of which looked like it was assembled by someone who only read about sushi rolls but had never seen one. The flavor and quality were ok, but really nothing special. Service was fine, in keeping with the overall mediocrity of the experience.

Came here 02÷15÷16 on my honeymoon road-trip from Miami to Key West. I would give this place a 0 Star is i can, they are not even Japanese and they try to sound like they know all about sushi. Their sushi roll are way over price!!! 7.99 for a Cali roll comon man why don’t you rob the bank instead !! and MOSTIMPORTANT i did not ask for extra rice on the sushi its more like a Rice roll instead of a eel roll. I not sure how their Thai food but the japanese food in this food is horrible maybe I’m from New York there is so much legit sushi place so i have higher expectation

Awesome sushi with killer prices! $ 1 sushi is unheard of in these parts. Everything I’ve had here is good, very good. The food is fresh and tasty. We really like the Tom Ka Kai and the Tom Ka Seafood. The red, green and panang curries are also excellent.

If you want a locals spot this is one of them. Num Thai is the BEST Thai food in the florida keys. And the BEST sushi in FLORIDA in my opinion. I have been coming here for over 10 years. Its family owned. Everyone who works here is incredibly sweet and loving. The prices are so affordable and the portions are HUGE. I literally go to num thai twice a week(sometimes even 3). My favorite dish is red vegetable curry. Sometimes I get green. I turned vegetarian recently and they still have so many options if you’re vegetarian/vegan. But, I could talk and talk and talk about how great this place is but… Just stop reading the reviews already and go stop by already! You won’t miss out I promise. Take the advice from the local thats been going here for over 10 years. :)

This place has a mix of Asian cuisines from Thai to sushi. I got the salad and pad Thai. They were both lackluster. They left me wanting for something more in taste and variety. This place is your standard Asian to go spot for lunch. Don’t expect too much if you have had authentic Asian food in the past.

An outstanding neighborhood Thai/sushi restaurant. Decent sushi has been $ 1 per bite for years. My wife loves the Thai. Personable service. By Key Largo standards, this is as good as it gets:)

This is what Unilocal is all about. Find a tiny hole in the wall restaurant, in a strip center, that normally you would drive by and instead, you stop and have an amazing meal. We spend a week in Key Largo each year and the kids demand that we go to Num Thai at least one night. Often, we make it our first stop, as we get to this area around dinner time. While it is not fancy, the food is wonderful and everything that I have tried has been fresh and delicious. A friend of mine lives close to Num Thai and his girlfriend was born in Thailand. They go their often, and she says the food is authentic. One night she cooked us a Thai meal and it was better then any meal I have ever had, so she certainly knows Thai food. When you go, here are a few things to look for. First, the sushi menu. There are a number of wonderful sushi items that you just don’t see everywhere, especially the sushi that uses octopus and squid. At the same time, the curry dishes are excellent, as well. I am a sucker for Tom Kha Gai soup and theirs is exceptional. Seriously worth a visit.

Okay, I can’t recall exactly what we ordered but my date and I enjoyed our meal entirely!!! It was a special dinner(birthday) so I felt it appropriate to order way more than the norm. We had edamame, a few sushi rolls, miso and tom yum soup and the vegetable curry. To say the least everything was delicious! The fish was incredibly fresh, locally sourced perhaps? ;) The curry was scrumptious as well. I was pretty full before the curry even came out but I still had room! The Veggies were cooked perfectly, semi crispy and that sauce… mmm that sauce! Num-Thai is one of those places that greatly benefit from the Unilocal community. Nestled in a shopping center, I would probably drive past without even noticing it and the décor is comical, yet fun! Don’t be deterred by the underwhelming appearance, this place is legit!

Worth a drive! For the keys and open late, very good. The variety and flavor makes up for the slow service. But can’t complain if you have good company! They have been packed for the latter part of the evening. Food came out quicker than the server but again well treated. Sad there is no summer rolls, The Tom Kah was tasty but blend on the spicy

Atmosphere is great-food is fresh, sushi is very well presented and flavor incorporation is really great, we also had a great server and don’t wait to long for food even though restaurant was busy. The Thai curry with glass noodles is a must try!

A great find. We went here after taking a day trip to the Everglades. We started out with a California sushi roll. It was really good. I had their daily special, Niku On The Beach. Sliced steak, 6 shrimp on Chinese veggies with salad and duck soup. It was all pretty good. The steak(don’t know what kind) was a little tough. Shrimp was good as was the salad and soup. Wife had Shrimp Pad Thai. She forgot to ask for spicy so it was a little bland. But good. The service was great. The store was clean. We would return.
