Great little place for authentic Cuban food. We went for lunch and had the conch fritters, Cuban sandwich and Mamey Shake. Cuban sandwich was about as authentic as you can get. The conch fritters were good, but they served them with cocktail sauce, which was their only downfall. Mamey shake was really good. The employees were very friendly despite them not speaking a lick of English(which is how you know it’s authentic).

Would recommend pan con lechon, café con leche and leche flan. Will not recommend fish ceviche — great service and ambience.

Very good Cuban sandwich recommend by a local. Felt real and authentic. My eight year old loved the music and friendly waitress.

I only had the Cubano sandwich, but it was muy bueno! This is a great little place in a strip mall. Nothing fancy, but authentic food and pleasant décor — what my wife referred to as Cuban Grandma. But don’t take my white-boy word for it — every customer in there was hispanic, so I think the authenticity is legit.

Came here with my wife and brother in law while on vacation. All of the dishes were amazing; very well seasoned(especially the staple black beans and rice), and cooked perfectly. The fried yucca was crispy, and the mojo sauce was great. Fried plantains stuffed with ground beef was also delicious, and if i wasn’t already stuffed, i could have easily finished another pitcher of their Sangria. Don’t judge the place because it looks like a hole in the wall, the food was excellent, and the staff very friendly and attentive.

My oxtail was outstanding, but my girlfriend’s cuban sandwich was dry and left a lot to be desired. If not for her meal I would have given it 5 stars. The people were very nice. I hope to go back.

Food is fabulous. We went to Puerto Rico for A week before stopping here. Great service and quite a surprise considering where we stayed. I had the pork chops and empanadas. The coffee is perfect anytime. My hubby ate the yellow tail filet breaded it was delicious. Headed back to So. Cal tomorrow so Back to juicing and healthy eating. Food is great. I recommend this place if you find yourself In Key Largo.

Authentic Latin café/restaurant which left a lot to be desired in terms of quality of service and food. We stopped in for a late lunch and tried the Cuban sandwich and beef tacos. Upon ordering our waitress recommended we order a pork sandwich over the Cuban since it was better. The reason my husband and I selected this restaurant was because of the positive Unilocal reviews for the Cuban! We kept our order since my heart was set on an authentic Cuban. I would rate the sandwich 2.5 out of 5. The ham and pork were tasty, but the bread wasn’t what you expect with a Cuban. It reminded me more of an Italian bread. The most disappointing part was that there were only 2 – 3 pickles on each half. My favorite part! The service was a 1 out of 5. I felt like our table was an inconvenience, and towards the end our waitress seemed to be more interested in the tip we were going to leave. We paid by card so they put you on the spot and ask how much your going to tip before they run the card. Overall, it seemed like they get some nice foot traffic so hopefully our experience isn’t the norm!

Once again this place was a well-worth stop on the way to Key West. Great sandwiches! Great Café Cubano. Very well priced. Added to our favorite food stops around the states.

Delicious! Our server gave great recommendations. Tostones rellenos con camarones were great, the fish was fresh, and the dirty rice was awwwwwesome. Finished it off with a really nice cup of Cuban coffee. I would highly recommend a nice low key evening here while you’re in Key Largo.

We placed an order to go. Service was quick and friendly. Parking was a little tight; between the liquor store next store and the restaurant. We ordered; The stuffed plantain win with meat were VERY flavorful. I really enjoyed them! The Cuban sandwich– pretty good, not the best I’ve ever had, but far from the worst The oxtail with brown rice and sweet plantain. The rice was flavorful and the oxtail was even more flavorful and fender. The sweet plantain was good, but not the best. The chuleta plate with white rice and black beans was very good. The chuleta was very flavorful, the rice perfect(and yes you can mess up white rice), and the black beans were good. This was my favorite plate! We will be back and we would absolutely recommend this place!

Slow slow slow service. Overcharge for a simple sandwich with eggs and bacon. Minimum of $ 10 card charge, but most of their options for breakfast are under $ 10, so that’s dumb.

It’s a first stop in key largo before you head out to key west to fill your self. Eat the local cuban food, ricw and beans to die for, fresh empanadas and flan. Then finish your appetite with a Cuban coffee.

On our way to the Key’s we were looking for a place to grab a quick bite, so we decided to text one of our Unilocal friends and ask for recommendations. Well these guys are well know in the area, but I am not going to get into details why(their initials are G and M). However, they recommended Denny’s Latin Café along with some dishes from them. Family own restaurant with a loud decoration on the walls makes you feel like you are at grandmas house. Went through the menu really fast since we wanted to continue on our way to the Key’s. Something cough my attention right away«Chorilonche» basically this is a sandwich with Spanish sausage in a Cuban Bread and chips. My wife went for the Picadillo empanada. My only complaint about this is that on the menu they advertised fresh Guava juice, but they gave my wife one of those Guava juice from a can hello!!! That is not fresh. We were trying to leave as soon as possible so basically just grab our food and drinks and go. Now you know this place is good when you cannot leave the Key’s without making a second stop. This time we took our time and actually sat down to enjoy our dinner with great company. I ordered the Sandwich de Lechon(cuban sandwich with shredded pork and salted onions in a cuban bread) and my wife went for picadillo. Holy picadillo, I haven’t had such an awesome picadillo since my grandma passed years ago. When I tried my wife’s food I was hoping she didn’t finish it so I can eat the leftovers. My sandwich was good, but I’ve had better before. The picadillo definitely took the night. Props to the cuban lady that took care of us, she was adorable and super nice.

Apart from the shredded beef & minced beef rice that were ok; a side of plantains(4 pieces) was a whopping extra $ 2.50. The sandwiches(Cuban, fish and pork) were mediocre. The fish sandwich turned out to be a full fish with tail & bones, which was alright, except it was quite bland. The server also tried to recommend the higher priced items, which to me, is not very appreciated.

Every trip down to the Keys, we drive past Denny’s, the majority of the time we stop in. As a Miami resident there is, an over abundance of Cuban restaurants and cafes to choose from. Denny’s Café is, hands down in a class of its own. The first time I tried their morro and picadillo was truly a «love at first bite» experience. This is legitimate morro(their rice and beans) and it is incredibly good! I love their rabo encendido(oxtail) as well. All the portions are large and certainly big enough for two meals. Sometimes I grab two containers though, because they simply are that good and I know I will crave more later on(don’t judge me.) I have enjoyed their Cubans and medianoches but their cooked food is what does it for me. Top it off with some colada to keep you awake on your drive back to the mainland or Key West and you’re set! If you have one chance I would suggest the oxtail, it is amazing! Don’t pass this place up!
