I don’t know why this place does not have higher ratings. I have gone here twice and have experienced nothing short of amazing service. The owner is so sweet. She was very helpful and attentive. The attendants even offered to lock my car keys and beach bag up to keep them safe during my trek. It was my first time paddle boarding and it was only $ 25, not the $ 37 that everyone claims it is. The instructor gave me a 5 minute tutorial and I was on my way. Their equipment is top of the line. Those boards cost over $ 600 a piece and come with lightweight fiberglass paddles. Paddle boarding was a lot easier than it seemed and I had a great time on both occasions. The beach that SoSUP is located on is really clean. The views of the Rickenbacker Causeway are beautiful, with Brickell boarding the horizon. It was also really nice paddle boarding over to the Seaquarium. Dogs are allowed so be aware. Overall I had a great experience here and really recommended. For only $ 25 an hour, it is a great way to burn 300 calories, work out your entire body, and enjoy their gorgeous Miami skyline.

The best place to get your first paddle board experience. William was great and made me feel confident. Great service and equipment. On top of it I paddled with 3 dolphins… such a blast ! I highly recommend SoSup-Dogs friendly —

This was my first time paddle boarding so I don’t really have anything to compare it to but I really enjoyed my experience! We went here since my gf went to them last year. The owner is definitely bristly and not overaccommodating but you only have to deal with him for 5m and then you get on your paddle board and go. Because it was my first time, I got a quick 5 minute lesson on how to do it. It’s not very hard. You just have to get used to balancing yourself on the board. It was really beautiful paddling out toward the city and back. We did it for about dm hour. I was wary of being sore the next day bc even though I’m in really good shape it’s serious core work out. I saw fish and a spotted sting ray. When we got back, the owner did ask how it was. Again, I really enjoyed myself. Some people were annoyed that there isn’t an exact address and I was too but when you get there, you realize it’s just a few trailers parked on the beach. So it’s right before the aquarium. Free parking but you have to pay $ 1.75 for the causeway toll. It’s a dog friendly beach and they have a couple of dogs. One of their dogs doesn’t have very good usage of it’s back legs. Apparently it’s bc when the dog was younger, it was trying to hump a much larger dog and got a pinched nerve. The dog is still a total horntoad and totally tried to hump another male dog while we were there. I found this really hilarious but the owner of the other dog was distressed bc they were both males. It was $ 27 if you had been there before or knew had to paddle board or $ 35 if you haven’t.

The manager of the place is REALLY rude. Even before we got here when we called and he was really rude … He has a helper … If is not for him we would have left right away … We were tiring to get directions to the place and he would not explain he just hung up :(I will go to another place … I will never come back here

The owner of this place was by far the RUDEST individual I have ever encountered in my entire life. From the second my group and I got there he was screaming at some clients on the shore with a mega phone and calling them stupid in front of another group of people as well. After my group and I got out on the water, he instantly began yelling at us with the mega phone for no reason. Mind you, this incessant yelling lasted basically throughout the whole hour that we rented for. THEN, the man yells at us to come to shore, so I did and he begins showing me some things while YELLING the instructions at me, calling me stupid in front of some families that were wading in the water and telling me to use my brain. He also yelled to me that how is it possible that young kids who are 10 and 11 can do it and I cant. MINDYOU, I had simply been sitting on the board relaxing most of the time without any issues. He was the one who created the issues in the first place. Furthermore, I told him to stop yelling because he was giving me anxiety and making the experience the least pleasurable moment in my life and he tells me to get out of the water, which I ignored considering I paid 30 dollars to be blatantly screamed at, insulted and annoyed for a whole hour of my life. Wait, it gets better. The man then tells the young employee working there to make sure that I carry my board to the shore, although the employee had assisted everyone else, solely because the man didn’t like me and even threatened the employee that he would get in trouble if he did indeed choose to assist me. This resulted in me having to lug the board up to shore and place it on the sand in line with the others mainly because the owner is a PSYCHO. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACEUNLESSYOUENJOYPAYING30+ dollars to be SCREAMEDAT, TREATEDLIKEANINVALID, ANDINSULTEDLONGERTHANANYGUESTORPERSONCANBEARINTHEIRLIFETIME. STAY. AWAY. The man has to be the most unprofessional person, with no concept of knowing how to properly run a business and provide proper customer service. I am an eighteen year old girl who is intelligent and got treated with the most unacceptable, grotesque form of customer service anyone could ever possibly experience. By far one of the worst experiences of my life. JERK.

* Across from Mast Academy on Key Biscayne July 6: 5 of us came frustrated from dealing with shady/arrgoant jet ski companies and driving down key biscayne decided to stop this past saturday morning around 10:30 am. We rented 3 paddle boats($ 25 for 2 people and $ 20 for one person) for the hour. We signed waivers, lathered up sunscreen and hit the water on that beautiful saturday morning. Our paddleboarding guy was awesome, professional and cool. There were even these two adorable pups running along the beach and swimming. Beautiful day, nice shallow waters, getting some«athleticness» on in good company. What more could you ask for? Oh and we had«YOLO Boats» ahha YOLO!

Having never tried Paddleboarding before, I had no clue what to expect when we drove to Hobie Beach last week and rented four paddleboards from Lubo. Although we were inexperienced, our group as a whole was pretty athletic, so we thought to skip the cost of the instructional session and just jump right in. Lubo, a kind man with years of experience on the ocean, insisted that we undergo some training due to safety considerations, and offered us a quick talk for free. Because of his instruction, we were on our feet within a couple of minutes, and none of us ended up in the ocean unintentionally! We each paid $ 30 for an hour of paddleboarding, during which time we saw swimming iguanas, tons of fish, and a few stingrays! Lubo’s two friendly dogs splashed around next to our boards on the way out and greeted us on the beach on our return. We had a blast and will definitely return again.
