This was a lot of fun for our family. It’s all FREE too! Great new trails and they are planning to expand in the near future. If you have kids this is a great walk that isn’t too intense. There’s a short walk that goes through some flowers and then there’s a longer, paved walk that goes by the Guadeloupe River. Great stop if you just want to take a quick break from a long road trip.

This is a nice little spot, love the little walking trail. More could be done with it, but it has clean restrooms and is a quiet place for reflection.

What a nice, beautiful area! We were just messing around Kerrville and decided to stop at the center. It’s all free. The ladies inside were very nice and helpful on informing us about the local area and tube and kayak rentals. The walk down to the river is wide, concrete sidewalks. It is perfect for a baby stroller or wheelchair so you don’t have to fight the terrain. The river and trees are lovely. There are benches along the way to sit and relax and enjoy nature. Will definitely come back.

This could be a lovely center if they’d tap the potential they have in their location right above the river. As it is the center is kind of redundant in a region where a drive down any country lane offers wonderous vistas of nature’s majesty.

This is a unique venue worthy of an hour or two to stop and check it out. It is not far from downtown Kerrville and backs right up to the beautiful Guadalupe River. The grounds are beautifully maintained and showcase typical plantings for the region. A self-guided nature trail can easily take an hour alone. Inside, there is a small exhibit room and several Hill country«critters» including Martha the tarantula! A small gift shop entices with some unique nature-based products and books. Wear comfortable walking shoes and it is best seen on a day without rain.
