Laity Lodge is a good camp if you have the $$$$$$$ to attend. If you are on the lower socio economic scale the general attitude of Laity Lodge is that they prefer a more sophisticated and affluent(according to them) clientele. The founders of the Lodge would probably disagree with the direction that the Lodge is going. Again, great camp if you fit their criteria, if not, they prefer you go elsewhere.

My kids love this camp. They have made some amazing friends there both in counselors and campers. Although they are outdoors most of the time it is not all about athletics and the competition is friendly. They set up talks so that the kids can discuss what matters with their friends. And the river and canyon are great fun and provide lot’s of space for energetic play. Best of all the counselors care deeply for the kids and make sure none of them fall through the cracks — whether feeling homesick, not fitting in or struggling for attention. The ratio of counselors to campers is high and, behind the scenes, a lot of care and effort provide purpose beyond just having a great time. The people at this camp really love the kids that they have in their care.
