I’m sad. Last year we stayed here twice, once in the efficiency type unit, and once in cabin M. The cabin was a little cramped, and the hot water tank only held enough water for one person to take a quick shower. But we made it work. We loved the«camp» atmosphere and being able to explore the river. My family had planned on making this a family tradition, since my parents have an RV spot here for the winter. However, we found out that they are under new management this year, and they raised their prices substantially! Additionally, my sister called to book a cabin for next month and found the office lady to be quite unfriendly. There’s no way we will spend $ 170+ a night for a mediocre cabin when there’s a lovely hotel with rooms at half the price only 4 minutes away. It’s really too bad because we liked it here. Unfortunately we are finding someplace else to stay :(

The RV Part of this resort seemed very nice, although it was hard to tell what made a premium spot a premium. The grounds are nice and scenic, the trails are bit too worn and I did not like the fact that they let kids drive the golf carts. The pools were not equipped with any shade outside of the covered porches, no umbrellas or shade canopies are provided. The management attitude is to «nickel and dime» the customers for every little thing. The Cabins. Now that is a whole different story, to use rustic, would be generous. I haven’t slept on a bed that bad since college. A bed so bad that my sciatica came back after the first night. The cabins are poorly maintained, not decorated well, poorly cooled, and very small. If you are meeting RV’d friends or family at this facility I would recommend staying at the YO or the Inn of the Hills especially considering the nightly price of the cabins. I have stayed in Manhattan for less than that.

Great place. Friendly people. Lots of great RV spots. Adult pool is a bonus. Love the on property saloon. Especially during a holiday weekend when you dont want to drive. We will be back. Loved it again. ;)

Beautiful park, great customer service, and friendly people in the park all around. Plenty of things to keep both the kids and adults busy.

Have been coming to this park for last 10 years, and have thoroughly enjoyed it and recommended it to every one we meet as being our #1 favorite park. But sad to say that this park is now headed on a downhill slide. The park amenities are still 5 stars but the quiet time rules and adult pool rules are no longer being enforced and the beautiful park is being littered and trashed by kids midnight water balloon battles and their parents’ loud, rowdy, and drunken site partying at 2−3am. These are now the preferred customers and those of us who pick up after ourselves and are considerate of our next door neighbors are not. For only about $ 30 more per nt, folks looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend getaway would be much happier staying at the nearby Inn of the Hills(newly renovated, beautiful pool, breakfast included).
