To begin the restaurant was very eclectic and interesting. The collection of art on the wall, in addition to the historic building, make for a great atmosphere. The food was delicious! We had the fried oyster nachos as a starter. It sounded bizarre but our waiter sold me on it. I was glad he did!!! The chipotle sauce were fantastic. I also had the cilantro lime shrimp and the Mexican chocolate bread pudding. It was all delicious!!! The server was attentive yet did not bother us constantly. Overall, I can’t wait to visit this establishment for another meal.

We had Fish Tacos and Chicken Salad Tostada with wine. Honestly the soups that came with each meal were the best part of the meals. My wife said I should mention the unappetizing sewer like smell, so I am editing this review. We have had an inordinate amount of rain this week but I don’t know if that was a factor in the strong odor. This is a very old part of downtown. We had lunch around the corner about a week ago at the Korean BBQ restaurant named Yeo-Bo’s. They had more spice and flavor in their food than Francisco’s did. We love the Hill Country here in Texas and Kerrville has plenty of good restaurants, but today, that was not a category I could put Francisco’s into!

The chicken Alfredo was out of this world. Great place to celebrate a friend’s 50th birthday! The Cesar salad was good. The oyster nachos were yummy.

Was VERY skeptical but wow! Stopped by for lunch yesterday and my taste buds were sooooo happy! Had some amazing green pozole and a cold, spicy chicken salad tostada. Amazing fresh flavors! And the friendly, cozy atmosphere lent itself to a wonderful business lunch location. Service was spot on and even got to shake the owner’s had. Nicely done. I shall be back when in that neck of the woods!

We loved the environment. The food was fresh and delicious portions were plentiful. The bread they serve is so yummy ! They do not have a kids menu however they will bring fresh fruit and ham rolls and cheese which was just right for our kids. We look forward to visiting again when we go back to Kerville

Friday lunch is a busy time, but after a short wait we were seated, our order taken and quickly served. My spinach salad was better than expected, and my tablemates enjoyed fish tacos, a veggie sandwich, tortilla soup and a Mexican sandwich. The food and service was good overall. We felt a bit rushed knowing there was a line of people waiting to be seated.

This place is getting three stars mainly because of location, which is in the main shopping district of Kerrville. My husband and I ate outside and the weather was perfect. Our server was nice enough. We both ordered the specials. Hhubby had salmon topped with some kind of sauce. The salmon was cooked correctly, but the sauce and sides were nothing to write home about. I had a rib eye that came with a flauta, beans, rice, and guacamole. The steak was overcooked and everything was bland except the guacamole, which was strangely exceptional. I suggest a stop for some guac and a beer on a pretty day.

Francisco’s would get a 5 star rating if it were not for two things. One, don’t bring your kids, you will get angry glares. Two, the crowd is very snooty. If you enjoy hanging around with your significant other alone with Kerville’s «finest», you will love this place. The food was excellent and the service was fast and gracious. People of Kerville… Here’s glaring back at you… Borderline scowl. ;-)

Best restaurant in Kerrville! The fish tacos, soups, and seared ahi tuna are my favorite dishes. The guacamole and chips are delicious too!

Literally some of the most boring expensive food I’ve eaten. I can make a small sandwich at home with barely anything on it, slap a pickle on the plate, and come out spending waaaaay less than the $ 15 it would probably cost me at this place. I honestly don’t understand at all what is good about this restaurant.

We wanted some lunch. I had the tilapia tacos. The chips and guacamole were very good. The tacos were very good as well. It came with zuchini soup. Very good! My wife had a sandwich and liked it as well. We both had desert and that was good as well.

I had the Tampico Special and it was good. My wife had some cilantro lime chicken and the rice… omg the rice. Would make you make faces it was so soured with Lime. Worst part was the service. My drinks sat empty all awhile my lady waitress was behind the counter playing on her phone. I had to look at her like wtf to get her to finally come take my order, and then again twice to come fill my drinks. I tipped her $ 6 on a $ 60 tab, and am one to ALWAYS give 20% or more for good service. For a higher end restaurant, she doesn’t have the work ethic that it takes to justify paying what you pay here. I’ll pass next time I’m in town.

I was shocked by the reviews. I decided to eat here for dinner based off of the reviews. Never again! First off the service… HORRIBLE. Our waitress was more worried about being behind the bar on her phone then serving. We had 3 empty water glasses several times. The bread was under cooked. The salad was, salad, the dressing, ranch, was watered down. My husband had a special with a cheese enchilada, he didn’t eat, a rib eye steak ordered rare, came out over cooked closer to medium well, taquito, was okay. My son had the cilantro lime chicken with rice and veggies. He enjoyed the chicken, the rice was very limey, and the veggies, well he is 14. I had the cilantro lime chicken with shrimp. 4 shrimp were good, my chicken was tough, my son ate it, my veggies were good, my rice…, well rice shouldn’t make you shutter from the amount of lime in it. Very gross and unable to eat it with out puckering your lips. All of this for a price tag of about 70 $. Would be bad if the service and food were good. We will not be back and I really wonder about these reviews.

Awesome service. Fish tacos were a hit plus chilled gazpacho… Me and my son ate well. Portions are perfect size and presentation was excellent. Clean artful interior. Definite repeat next time I visit the big K.

FANTASTIC service, food and atmosphere! Immediately we were greeted and seated by our amazing waiter, Eddie and his trainee, Orlando. I had the special, fish tacos with tortilla soup and a local beer, Lobo Lito– a recommendation since I told them I usually drink Miller Lt — I don’t eat chicken so when I inquired about the chicken content he told me only the broth– no hunks of chicken(which is fine bc I’m not a purist) My hubby had the special as well– Chicken Enchiladas with green tomatillo sauce. Here are his words: Really great. Had enough spice that the flavor was not overwhelming, but still had a kick to make it true Tex-Mex. Paired the meal with a decent Pilsner from the DR, Presidente. The Chicken tortilla soup was awesome. Very quick service. Nice and quiet atmosphere. Met the former mayor. Good sign when he eats here. Overall really great place for a quick lunch date. Well-priced lunch menu. Many of the locals recommended it as the place to eat.
