Over the top. Good fresh food cooked perfectly. I have passed this restaurant multiple times, but have never been in a position to stop. Recently, I made it a point. The server new her business and thoroughly enjoys what she does. She new the menu and new how to talk everything up. She didn’t need to as nothing we tried disappointed. I will certainly return as soon as I have the opportunity.

I have been going here since I was in 9th grade, and this place never seems to disappoint! I can honestly say that I have NEVER had a bad meal in all my years of coming here! It’s a family owned restaurant, and the waitresses there are extremely friendly! I am regular here, so they know my face, and they always have a smile their face! I typically like to go in the middle of the afternoon around 3 pm because you avoid the lunch traffic, and you come in a few hours prior to when the dinner rush shows up. They have a wide variety of items on their menu from Italian dishes to Greek dishes to sandwiches, and home cooked dinners as well. My ultimate favorite is the fried chicken dinner, as it comes with a breast, wing, thigh, and leg along with three vegetables, and your choice of a biscuit, Texas toast, or a dinner roll. They also serve dessert which is delicious as well. The banana pudding and the pecan pie are favorites of mine. The atmosphere is really relaxing, and they have a ton of space for larger parties or booths for a group of 4. You can never go wrong choosing this place, as it’s a great place to go for lunch or dinner. They also serve breakfast in the mornings which is one of the better deals in t5he area. I recommend their bacon or sausage omelets which cheddar cheese and hash browns. I also suggest you get a pancake of theirs, I say ONE because it literally takes up the ENTIRE plate, and is more than filling for just one person. This is one of the hidden gems in Kernersville, and I will continue to go here as often as I can. Try it out!

Good diner food, friendly atmosphere. Asked server for recommendations and she gave me her favorites in each of the categories. Went with the flounder plate, which is two fillets, fries, slaw, and hush puppies. Delicious.

The place to go for breakfast in Kernersville. We’ve never been for lunch or dinner but each time we go out for breakfast it’s here. We’ve been a customer for over 20 years.

I ordered the Baked Eggplant. It was mediocre, at best. It tasted liked a frozen eggplant cutlet slapped on a steak plate with sauce poured over and then cheese dumped on top, than baked. Nothing special. Service was fair.

Pro’s: –Friendly family owned restaurant –Easy parking –Great service –Cheap prices –Food. We had breakfast here, and we thought the food was pretty good for a run of the mill breakfast. Con’s: –Also the food. SUPER greasy. If that’s your thing, you’ll love this place. Otherwise, be prepared to spend some time in the bathroom. Overall — not bad, but not as good as your average iHop.

It was almost noon on a Saturday, and I hadn’t had anything to eat… was craving breakfast rather than lunch. I was running errands in Kernersville with a friend, and he suggested we try this place based upon his past dining experiences at this restaurant. It’s located in a newer building(next door to the old location apparently), and it’s bright, open and filled with locals. We snagged a booth and were almost immediately waited on with the request of lunch or breakfast? Breakfast! I was starving, so I briefly debated on ordering two versus one biscuits and gravy… I went with one which was the right choice. Despite being starving, the one biscuit was as big as my head, loaded with gravy, and additional gravy came on the side incase the swimming pool amount on my plate wasn’t enough. I also had two eggs sunny side up which were cooked perfectly, and a delicious glass of tomato juice. I couldn’t eat all my food. My dining companion, on the other hand, wolfed down two of the aforementioned big-as-your-head biscuits and gravy, two sides of country ham(I snuck a bite of the ham and it tasted like the Dead Sea… waaaay too salty for me, but he loved it), two eggs over easy, and a bowl of grits. I watched in amazement as he finished every bit of it. And all this food was only $ 20.00 before the tip. I’ll return… probably just for breakfast, though. This is diner-type food, and I’m just not a diner-type girl when it comes to dinner.

GREAT daily meal specials during the week– often coming with up to three sides– WHOAH! I have only gotten take-out but I am a HUGE fan of their Greek Salad– its HUGE– tons of feta cheese and the dressing is to die for… all for $ 7. The counter staff has always been courteous. Nothing fancy, but good food.

Prepare to be disappointed and overcharged! Sure, they have the food your mother used to make… but it certainly doesn’t taste like you remember. Be prepared to be charged extra for everything you can think of… right down to broiling fish versus grilling or frying. Family of three can plan to spend twice what you would at cracker barrel for shameful food and slow service.
