So its called ‘Noodle Sandwich House’… don’t ask me why I wasn’t turned off by just the name itself. Well, I gave it a try cuz I felt like *#%! and had to go to BOA next door. The phở was served according to portion; small was small, large was larger than small. The broth was a bland. Spring rolls & egg rolls are smaller than standard. The waiter/boy/son is quite comical. The table behind us had one phở meat misorder and the waiter son boy freaked out! He threw his arms in the air, paced a larger circle around the tables, apologized loudly with his arms, and went running back to his cook/momma yelling in vietnamese that she forgot a specific meat.(The bf is viet so he translated.) The only saving grace to this place is their sandwiches. We got 2 combos to go for dinner, and they were worth it! Super generous in meats & veggies. So we’ll mos def go back for banh mis… everything else is a pass. Oh and be warned of the tacky gold décor & year-round christmas décor, cigs in the pond, loud instrumental music, and even louder vietnamese yelling.

This place needs a cleaning and a face lift. The outside has a broken down waterfall and the waitress was smoking outside when I arrived, but that’s because this place was empty at 11:00am on a Saturday but I was starving. I sat down and the place was kind of grody(for lack of a better word). Something splatterd on the wall from who knows how long. A broken down cooler of some sort in the corner was a total eye sore and random stuff on the floor like a rusty screw. What is with the random things for sale near the counter(e.g. Candy, Tully’s coffee, movies)? Is this place a noodle shop, flea market, or both. The chopsticks sat in old wrappers that were questionable and they didn’t have the hot stuff that I like to spoon into my phở. Never had meatballs in my phở either but I am not a fan. Overall this place would have got a three if I just based it on the soup as it wasn’t that bad.

I am definitely a fan of the Noodle Sandwich House. I can’t say I’m a big Phở person though so I can’t make those comparisons but I absolutely love their soup. The broth is just right. Sometimes I get it to go and drink half the broth before I ever add the noodles. It’s delicious. I also love their sandwiches very much. The service, on the other hand, has been good sometimes and not so much on other occasions. I usually just call ahead and get my Phở to go.

So. Me and friends decided we wanted to try out Sandwhich Noodle House. Service was slow. Food was ok. We talked it over and decided that we will never come back. When we were inside. The interior was nice, but service was slow. We washed our utensils in hot tea to be sure nothing was dirty. And food came out below average for a vietnamese restaurant.

We wanted to go to O Phở at Kent Station, but there was absolutely no parking down there, so we decided to give this place a try. Will definitely not do that again. There was only one other table occupied when we got there, but the staff was apparently too busy to clean any of the tables, which were all sticky and covered with bits of food, or the floor. We both ordered the Phở with Beef Steak, and the Crispy Tofu app. I didn’t order a drink, my fiancé ordered a 7-up off the menu and was surprised when the server asked if Sprite was OK. The phở was bland, no flavor to the broth at all. The noodles, which are normally fresh and light, were clumped at the bottom and stuck together so badly you had to separate them with your chopsticks and the servers were offering forks. Each of us got 4 or 5 pieces of steak, each no larger than a silver dollar. The plate that they served the accoutrements on still had the sticker(on the food side) from the store it was bought from. The place has been open for over a month, how many people have they served without even bothering to take stickers off the plates? Maybe they haven’t had to use their entire serveware inventory yet. The crispy tofu was cold when we got it, and definitely not freshly fried. The only saving grace was the peanut sauce, which I’m pretty sure came out of a jar. The service was pretty poor too. They forgot my fiancé’s Sprite until we reminded them, then had to make two trips to get both the glass of ice and the can of soda. Plus, every time we looked there was at least one staff member dining in the dining area, and usually two, at separate tables. Will definitely not eat there again.

Yes, this place changes ownership as quickly as you change clothes. Also known as, «Noodle Sandwich House». I visited the place 3 days apart and was surprised by a new menu. Entered the restaurant, there was a man at the register that never even looked up to greet us. After a few mins when he finally acknowledged we were there he barked off something to a young girl who sat us at our table. She got our order wrong but we didn’t send it back because I didn’t want to waste the food. There was only one other person in the rest. The young gal forgot the side sauce that goes with the dish. I had to get up and goto the front to ask for it. When we were finished we waited and waited for the bill. Nothing. This is the 2nd time I had to go up and pay for my meal. Really not impressed at all. The food is just ok. The price is much to high for the type of service. Next time i’m in the mood for Vietnemese, I’ll just go down the hill to the Station and eat at O’Phở.
