really enjoy the coffee and the food is not so bad. I haven’t tried all of it yet. The staff is always friendly and helpful. One time they accidentally heated the wrong breakfast sandwich which I was ok with but they gave me a free cinnamon roll to go! They also have a lot of different flavor syrups that you don’t often see like lavender. It is not super close to me but I will go there for a coffee break when I can.

Coffee is life lol, I ordered a 16 oz caramel macciatto with soy milk, not only did it smell delicious but it was so bomb that I ordered another one. Lol. The service was friendly and great.

Found this place once my fiancée started her new job and have stopped by almost every morning since. Staff is very friendly and laid back, great environment! Very rustic, and organized. They also offer different events on occasion. Just a great well rounded little shop, I recommend stopping by to check it out for yourself.

I stopped in here for a regroup coffee after an intense job interview down the street. The owner(or manager? I think her name is Erica?) was behind the register and very friendly. The place is urban chic in décor, but somehow it’s also very welcoming and a bit cozy. They have local food and drink(always a big plus, in my book), as well as beer and wine. Yay! We chatted as she made my latte, which was excellent, and she wished me luck on the job hunt. ANDTHEN after a second round of interviews, I stopped in for coffee and lunch, and she remember me. A week later, she remember some random gal who’d been in there for 10 minutes. I was floored, but please to be able to tell her I got the job(yay!). We chatted more, and I got to try both a pastry and a panini and YUM. I’m so glad I stumbled on this place, which will be a regular coffee and lunch spot for me in the future. I definitely recommend it!

Another decent sandwich place and coffee shop. It is little too pricey for it. Nothing bad, nothing great.

Wow! Definitely didn’t expect a homie coffee shop in an industrial park of Kent. Was looking for some place near to study before I head to work and stumbled upon this place. Was amazed by the atmosphere and comfort with an option to sit outside near a fountain. They have very large tables, comfortable chairs, wifi and amazing coffee, wasn’t to strong or to weak. They also offer café food, happy hour and alcoholic beverages such as beer on tap and wine which is a plus. This would’ve been 5 stars but the baristas weren’t to pleasant a little on the rude side and wasn’t very apologetic when she had messed up my coffee order. When it was extremely slow with no one behind me to order. Also when I had ask for the wifi password, they have given it to me and one of the girls corrected the other girl is such a rude manner. I did not feel comfortable at all. Other than that I will be back from time to time regulars less of the baristas I will enjoy my time studying or for a quick pit stop.

Quickly becoming my favorite study/hang out place, I’ve been coming to Urban Timber about 2 – 3 times a week now with a few of my friends. We were on the lookout for a place that had wifi, coffee, food and a large lounge area and this place has it all. BONUS: they also have wine and beer! Wifi connection is mediocre but it works nonetheless, haven’t tried their coffee yet but my friend says they’re really good! their food though is amazing as well as decently priced, I’ve tried their breakfast sandwiches as well as their quesadillas and Jeff makes them so well, definitely a good meal to get me through the long hours of studying. they come out hot and fresh, not something frozen then microwaved. I’ve also quickly fallen in love with their red bull Italian soda. They have a large lounge area, filled with plenty of tables, which is perfect because I never had to struggle to find a seat. it’s a nice, quiet place, and just perfect for studying with friends, I will be returning soon! P.S: Urban Timber is located in a small strip of stores tucked away in Kent and if you drive to fast, you might miss it. be careful!

The coffee was average. Kinda weird joint. Beer, wine tasting and coffee. The food looked good in the case but there were so many gnats flying around and on the food it really put me off. I don’t think I will be returning

They have alcohol. That alone is a reason for 5 stars. If you work in the area and are having one of those days, stop in on your lunch break for a pint or two. A convenient location to take the edge off.

I ended up coming here for a special Odd Otter tasting event(YUM!) I’m definitely not into the staff here. One of them failed to open a tab in the beginning and later on when it was time to pay she was surprised I didn’t have a tab and tried to imply that it was completely my fault that she forgot to ask for my card. So sorry for not doing her job for her. As a snack we ordered some hummus. It was«okay» at best; pretty bland and I definitely wouldn’t order it again. Part of me would like to try their coffee and other items, but this experience has me thinking Urban Timber Coffee isn’t for me.

This place has become my go to in the mornings before work! The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. I have really enjoyed every drink I have tried and they have some really yummy pastries in the morning. I will definitely have to come here to get some homework done and grab a glass of wine! Thanks Urban Timber!

Love this place. Their coffee is delicious and their food is wonderful. I used to go there a lot when I worked in the area. I think it is some of the best coffee I have had. And I loved getting their sandwiches during my lunch break. And I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the coffee house. I am hoping they open one in Renton really soon!

It’s a good place to hang out and do homework and enjoy a nice chai. But they aren’t open on weekends… so I don’t see myself making the trek. I can see it being a good marketing idea for its location, though, because I imagine most of its business relies on work-a-day folks in the surrounding factory/warehouse/office buildings. The décor is nice and the ambiance was good. I may return to get some writing done every now and again.

This place is pretty good! It’s such a nice find in this area. I wouldn’t hop cities just to eat here but if you’re in the area, it’s definitely a great place to stop by and hang for a bit. Their servers are friendly and chill. The atmosphere is lax; a great place to meet up with a friend to catch up or do some homework. It’s themed(outdoorsy/city?) but still sophisticated-looking. I’ve been here a couple times and it wasn’t crowded and noisy, and I like that. I wasn’t too fond of their green tea latte; it was too sweet and did not have enough matcha-taste, but it still wasn’t bad! I ended up drinking it all in the end. Good coffee; It’s not very strong tasting but it’s a great change up from your regular starbucks. The mocha was very chocolatey and it was also sweet. Their sandwiches are very good and always comes out fresh with a side of chips. Way worth the quality. They have a lot of other interesting foods, like hot dogs and sliders. You order up at the front, take a seat, and the servers bring it over to you in a jiffy! They also have alcohol?! Beer on tap and wine! They have events throughout the month such as live music or wine tastings. Be sure to check out their blackboard to see what’s coming up. Oh, and a drive through. It has everything lol. Urban timber is different from your normal coffee stand in the area and I like it. The $ 1 off drink every check in is really nice too. I say skip panera bread or a study day at the sbux and give this place a shot.

The service was good and my green tea latte was delish. When I asked if they had green tea lattes/matcha, the barista wasn’t sure, but eventually decided that they did. I tactfully asked if she was sure because I might cry if I get served some sort of weird concoction of green herbal tea and milk… And she happily fished the powder out of the cabinet to show me. Both baristas were very friendly and the drink was really good. I’m not in this part of town often, but whenever I’m here and need coffee(or rather, a green tea latte), I’ll definitely be back.

Urban Timber makes one of the best spiced chai teas I’ve had and their breakfast burrito & breakfast sandwich are excellent too. The burrito has a delicious chorizo sausage plus scrambled eggs, cheese and their mango salsa is a winner. The breakfast sandwich is standard eggs, sausage and cheese but they press it in the panini press and it makes all the difference. Delightfully crispy on the outside, creamy cheese & eggs with a touch of spice on the inside. YUM!

I was pretty disappointed in Urban Timber Coffee. The main disappointment was the completely snobby and rude staff. When my friend and I walked up to the counter, they seemed aggravated we didn’t know what we wanted immediately. The woman at the register looked at us impatiently as we tried to quickly select what we wanted. We fumbled over our words when ordering and in return she snarkily questioned what we were asking for. I debated just leaving, but we both wanted coffee and to sit for a bit and there aren’t a lot of options in this area of Kent. So we completed our order, paid, and snagged a table. In addition to my drink, I ordered a muffin with delicious crumbly bits on the top. Like a coffee-cake type muffin. They said they would bring it to the table along with the coffee. When the drink arrived, she told me that they didn’t have any of those muffins left and I could choose between poppy seed or apple. I didn’t want either, but I had already paid. I was pretty annoyed, but selected the poppy seed one anyway. It was a fine muffin, but not what I had wanted. The coffee itself was actually pretty good. But I have no desire to go back here…
