I must admit that I wasn’t too thrilled when my husband wanted to try this place even though I was craving Chicken Teriyaki. My thought is why try a new place that we have no idea if it is good?! If I have a craving I don’t want to HOPE that my craving will be satisfied. I’d rather go to a place that I know it’s guarantee satisfaction. Well, I liked this place. Although we ordered take-out, they had complementary self serve miso soup in the lobby. It was good to drink something hot on a cold day. You know how you feel when that hot delicious liquid flood all the way down pass your chest & into your stomach when you are freezing cold? Yeah, it was a good feeling. It took about 20 mins before our order was ready. I took it home without high expectation, but when I tasted the first bite of that Chicken Teriyaki it was surprising fresh tasting. Meaning the chicken was real chicken & not molded ground up chicken. The chicken was nicely chard without drying out. It was very soft & moist(cooked just right). The quantity was good, too. It’s 2 layers of chicken! When I was finished I was full(just the right amount). I can honestly say that I was satisfied & surprised at the quality of the food. I recommend this place.

Excellent Teriyaki. Spicy Chicken had a kick but the flavor was excellent. I’ve never had a Teriyaki place put raw green onion on top of Spicy Chicken but gotta say, I’m a fan. Good lunch portion size. The only thing I would knock here is the price was a bit on the steep side. almost $ 11 for Spicy Chicken and a Soda. All in all, I’ll be back. And I’d recommend it to anyone looking for some good Teriyaki.

I would say this is a typical teriyaki place with a little extra options. The part that was best to me was they had accommodating service and it was cleaner than the average teriyaki place. I took my 2 yr old son and they made me a special bowl of broccoli for my son. The little things like that make this place stand out a little more than usual.

Mediocre at best. I got the lunch chicken special and it cost almost $ 8…barely got any chicken! It tasted ok… some of the pieces of chicken were pretty charred and black. And like I said, for that price, the portion of chicken was maybe half of what you would get anywhere else. I won’t be returning. If the owners read this, take a trip up to Kirkland and visit Nasai Teriyaki on 85th St. That should be a model to follow for all teriyaki restaurants.

My favorite teriyaki anywhere I’ve ever been. My favorite is a simple chicken bowl and the $ 4.50 order of a half doesen hot wings! The owners are super nice and recognize my voice when I call ahead for take out. Hope I can do something nice for them other than just bring a customer. If you’re in the area, a must try!

With the abundance of teriyaki joints in this city, it’s hard to be blow away but so easy to be let down. Tokyo Teriyaki falls into the latter category. For starters, i initially wanted some spare ribs but was told«nope, they’re too expensive so we don’t sell them anymore»…well you should take them off the menu. Thanks. Second, it took 15 min to cook my food. Why? I don’t get it. Especially when I tasted my beef and it was soft. Not tender just squishy in the mouth, it was disgusting. The chicken, well it was chicken and edible. Two small scoops of rice and some salad. At least the salad was fresh and crispy. And lastly, it was overpriced. I think for just that I paid almost $ 9. For the amount of competition in the area, you’d expect some competitive prices or kick ass food. Neither of which this place has.

I’ve been going to Tokyo Teriyaki for years. They have changed owners, but THANKGOD, they have not changed their recipes and the place has only gotten better with time. The new owners are the nicest people you’d ever want to meet. They are friendly and the prices are reasonable. I’ve been to a million teriyaki joints, but this place has something that makes it stand way apart… their salad dressing. Salad dressing at a teriyaki place, you might say??? Well, their salad dressing is so perfect that it compliments all their other fine dishes and sends them out of this world. If it’s possible to fall in love with a condiment… them I’m in love. Their chicken is succulent and flavorful, their rice is cooked to perfection and the lettuce is, well, just lettuce. But when you add in the dressing, your talking one SERIOUSLY satisfying meal. Go for the teriyaki, go for the salad dressing… but definitly go.

Eat here twice a week and love the spicy chicken lunch. Friendly owner and good prices. Make sure you get a punch card for a free 10th meal. I told the owner I like Rockstar Energy Drink and on my following visit they had them in the fridge.
