Great staff. Bought Coffee Toffee Butter Nut Crunch. Sounds addictive? It totally is.

I love popcorn. It’s actually one of my favorite foods. I love popping my own! It all started with a trip to a popcorn store in Michigan while on vacation when I was 9. When I read in Kent that Popped opened, I was so excited to go. I’d been planning this for years, as I live in LA and don’t get back to Kent often. I saw that Popped was going to be expanding into the space next door. Cool! But the current Popped wasn’t what I had envisioned from afar. Less than a handful of flavors, mostly either with caramel or chocolate. Of course there was kettle corn, which was way over salted. Not balanced flavor profile at all between sweet and salty. There are so many things you can do with popcorn, and not all involve chocolate and caramel! I hope the expansion involves expanding the menu. So far I wasn’t impressed, but will be giving Popped a try on my next trip back.

My parents and I have been shopping here since they opened and we are just addicted to the popcorn! The kettle corn brings memories of county fairs, the Baja Ohio evokes sandy beaches and margaritas, and the Firehouse Caramel really brings a kick! We are super excited for them to open the ice cream shop next door! It will bring a fun new dimension to the store and hopefully include some ice cream flavors with popcorn in them– something like«caramel chocolate popcorn twist»!

Race down the Acorn Alley, up the stairs and dive into Popped for a great bag of artisan popcorn, on your way to the next place! Hint, maybe Bent Tree coffee. Another hint, if you like caramel popcorn, get the Firehouse Caramel. It tastes exactly like normal caramel popcorn, until the very last when it bites you on the throat a little.

Popped! is my favorite restaurant in Kent. I could eat their popcorn for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff is always friendly and happy to answer any questions you might have about any of their products. My favorite is the caramel popcorn with the milk chocolate drizzle. Popped! is definitely not stingy with their chocolate! This is a must-stop if you’re in Kent.

Best popcorn around. I am ordering some from LA because I miss it so much! The firehouse caramel popcorn is my favorite. I also LOVE their espresso bark. The sea salt bark is amazing as well. The owner is so nice and cares about her customers.

Great popcorn, super friendly owner. I really really love the vegan kettle corn! I agree with the prior post that the carmel corn is a little too sweet, but the firehouse is great in small sizes!

Popped is amongst the wonderful new stores in downtown Kent. I stopped in because I’d sampled the popcorn before but never gone in myself. I was looking for a Christmas present for my food-loving best friend. The staff(who were wonderfully friendly and intelligent about the product) told me about the variety of ideas they had for Christmas and I was sold! Their popcorn is always good, and its so addicting. Once you try it, you’ll always crave it! I can’t wait to go back in!

I wish I could give this a 3 star and I’m really hesitant on the two. So if you’re reading this look at it as probably a three with sides of two. Das Mann and I stepped in here last week as we were perusing the Kent area. See, I’m going back to school; I’ll be a commuter student and I need to know where I can get a decent cup of coffee and maybe a snack or dinner. We came across Popped and well… I love me some good popcorn. The lady who was running the place was really nice, informative, and friendly. She was also running her butt off trying to assist us and not let her popcorn burn.(Yes, you’re a small entrepreneur, but perhaps a cheap college student assistant would help?) She had at least 5 flavors /styles of popcorn going from kettle corn to caramel corn w/cayenne pepper. I sampled the spicy popcorn and found it to be lacking. It was interesting to be sure, but eh… kind of blah on the whole. I ordered a small bag of caramel with peanuts for my mother’s birthday and we took it to go. Man oh man, that chick packed the bag full! Thank you for giving me my money’s worth(BONUSPOINTS!). Here’s what I felt over-all about the popcorn. The caramel corn is too sweet, so sweet in fact that you almost cannot taste the popcorn under all the sugar. And the caramel is almost sugared like it was cooked too long. The peanuts were indiscernible around all the«caramel» which was a bummer. I did get a kernel in my popcorn too which, considering the caramel is so hard, you might break a tooth if you’re not careful. Popped did have some cute merchandise in the form of t-shirts, and take-away bags of popcorn with special dressings etc. These are great for tourists or for the kid going home from school at Christmastime. I do realize I’m a terrible snob and that NOTHING and I mean NOTHING has come close to comparing with Garrett’s popcorn. But here are a few tips for Popped: 1. Get a helper 2. Lay off the sugar and pare down the«caramel» 3. Love the idea of the cayenne, but maybe bump up the spice & salt and lay off the caramel

Carmel popcorn with the warm spice of cayenne? SOLD. And chocolate-salty-goodness, oh my. So many creative flavors in a very cool setting! Gwen is a goddess and a master of popcorn. What a perfect addition to downtown Kent! Will dream of it till my next visit…

This popcorn is like crack. Every time I buy a bag, my mouth is left watering for the rest of the day. Seriously. Addictive! Tons of different flavors, I personally recommend the traditional buttered popcorn as well as the special Firehouse blend.
