What a wonderful find. The atmosphere was charming on this beautiful Saturday morning in May. This is clearly a place that locals and out of towners can appreciate. I had a marvelous grilled chicken sandwich on a baguette and my husband enjoyed a marvelous serving of huervos rancheros.

Went here for a birthday dinner since we stayed at B&B for my husband birthday. They only take reservations for parties over 5 but said we should have no problem getting a table. When we arrived they asked us if we wanted to sit in the dining room, bar, or(with a shift in tone)…the side room. We sat in the side room which was secluded and quiet. We enjoyed small plates of mussels, romaine salad and fried pickles. My husband loves fried pickles and he thought these were the best he had(more focus on the pickle vs the fried coating). After stuffing our faces, we decided to split the meatloaf which was delicious. My husband had the thyme mixed drink which he said was«good» and I had the melon mule which was like an adult liquid version of the fruit snack Gushers. Overall, enjoyed our meal!

We love going here… It’s so quaint & sweet. The food is out of this world delicious, the staff accommodating & the drinks delicious! The chef even found out about my wheat allergy & she insisted on using coconut flour in the recipe for me. They’re amazing & I only wish they were open longer!

Meh… food was extremely bland(burger was tiny-bun was almost stale) and the drinks tasted like poison. Don’t recommend it and won’t go back.

last night we went to the Kingsley Tavern and thought it was amazing! I got the meat loaf and it was heavenly, the mashed potatos tasted light and fluffy, the meat was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were great. My daughters split the jerk chicken and it was amazing. The jerk chicken was incredibly flavorful and the dish came with plantains and rice and fresh beans topped with a generous amount of mango salsa. Overall probably one of the best meals I have recently had. Two big thumbs up!!!

What a relief to be driving through an unknown area, after a long day of skiing, and to find on Unilocal,a superior restaurant that pleased all five members of our family. My three boys all wanted more of the bistro steak — a thick and juicy cut cooked just right with good quality veggies. We liked the fried pickle chips, ravioli, cornbread, and fish/shrimp tacos too. We’ll definitely be back whenever driving through the area. Thanks, Unilocal

I absolutely love this modest and cozy spot. The food is always spot on from the burgers to Cobb salad to the fish tacos. I love that they offer grass fed beef burgers. I love that their other sandwiches and dishes mix in tasty flavors like pickled daikon, fruit, fennel, etc. The cocktails are scrumptious and refreshing — the brunch cocktail, the corpse reviver are a gin lovers dream! The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. The patio in the summer is a great place to people watch but inside is cozy on a winters day too.

How great is it to be in a touristy, somewhat upscale town and enjoy a great lunch in an intimate tavern/restaurant that was both good and affordable. Ten or fifteen choices, all seemingly possible. We had the salmon egg Benedict and a nicely prepared meatloaf sandwich. Both were perfectly prepared and were tasty. Combine that with one of the three available Bloody Marys and you have a nice lunch. The diners were quite and the staff attentive and polite. A nice stop.

What a nice little pub located in the quaint shopping area of Kent, CT. It has a nice menu and a quiet relaxing atmosphere. The patrons are friendly. The staff is helpful and provide good service. All of the food looks fresh. The Kingsley provides a great feel of comfort and has a family appeal.

We have gone to Kingsley’s for dinner, drinks and apps at the bar, and sometimes just to hang out. It’s the kind of place that’s able to be whatever you’re feeling for the evening, with different levels of expense available(pub fair, just snacking, fancy dinner), delicious beers on tap, and creative mixed drinks. They also are willing to shake things up, with different local produce presented in fun ways. I’m a vegetarian, I greatly appreciate their creativity with mushrooms that have meaty texture — their puffball parmesan in the early fall was amazing! We will keep coming back!

Kent is a lovely little town. Loved finding a restaurant with an upscale menu but casual setting that skews a bit younger. Great cocktail menu, I am partial to the bourbon drinks. The Kingsley burger is fantastic with fried egg, cheddar and bacon jam. Salads were good, my MIL enjoyed the clam chowder. The service is hit or miss though, which is where it loses one star. I came here for brunch and dinner over two weeks. Dinner, the waitress ignored my table many times, never checked on dishes and plates were delivered between guests with long stretches in between. She acted annoyed to even serve us. Brunch was better with the server taking the time to actually explain specials and give recommendations.

Stopped in passing thru Kent on our way up North, place was busy and our wait was not long for a table. The weather was cold and so was my soup. I ordered the clam chowder and it was good but not nearly warm enough for a day like this, maybe left on the line waiting for the server to pick up. I ordered the Saigon sandwich with porkbelly and my mother did the chicken sandwich. Both were good but portion size were a bit skimpy, barely any meat on mine but tasted good. Overall I’d say it was fair but expensive for the portions. Great beer selection.

Great, creative restaurant with a surprisingly tasty Banh Minh sandwich. Friends loved their burger(they were large!). Extensive cocktail list(we did not partake, though) and good beer menu. Seemed liked a very friendly family place. Would recommend for Kent day trippers. Expect to see more from this place. Get there early or make reservation. Also, Kingsley’s displays local artists’ work and Kent Prep memorabilia.

Honestly was a bit underwhelming despite the reviews I had heard beforehand. My bf very much enjoyed his burger. My fish taco, on the other hand, was pretty bland and meh. It seemed overly battered and fried for a nice seemingly fresh-ingredients place like this. It didn’t really taste like anything. Eh.

Amazing amazing amazing! Creative dishes and attentive service! The tomatillo cucumber soup was fantastic, watermelon feta salad and fried okra were just what hungry vegetarians like ourselves wanted. The fried tofu Bahn mi sandwich was great! And to top it off… chocolate cake that was fresh and outrageously good.

I’ve been here twice, and really enjoyed myself both times. Beautiful décor, excellent, and creative food, attentive, well informed service. The presentation of the place and the food is in keeping with the fine atmosphere that the town projects.

During the week, it is easier to get a table. We went on a whim, and got seated right away. We were greeted immediately and drinks came quickly. Good way to start an impromptu date night! The prosecco was quite nice and my husband got an IPA cocktail, which he enjoyed. I got the corn bisque — it was a bit heavy on chili oil, which set my mouth aflame, but the flavor was pleasing. Husband had the mushroom special which was a pleaser. He had the Fire and Smoke burger, which was delish and I had the Wagyu steak special. The steak was nice and tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked to exactly medium rare, exactly what I wanted! The sides. Well, the sides were disappointing. The veggie mix was rather soft and I wasn’t sure what all it was, honestly… kind of a not so good mishmash. The steak sat atop a ginormous mound of garlic mashed potatoes… tasted fine, visually unappealing to me, anyway. Hey, I ate my steak with a few bites of green stuff to make myself feel healthy and enjoyed the attentions of my husband and our lovely waitperson Amanda. Work on the sides… I like my sides, but the experience was a good one. You are forgiven.

The food is good, although the menu tend to be somewhat limited… But I’ve always been able to find good treats here. Highly recommended the chicken with plantains.

Great service and delicious food. The only reason why I would not give this place a five, is because it’s a tad overpriced, especially considering its location. Their garden salad was light and refreshing. My boyfriend and I had two specials– carnitas tacos and seared tuna on a salad– both were delicious!
