Service is quick and food is good. The juicy beef noodle is always my fave, broth is full of flavor and beef is deliciously tender. A great place for lunch.

I went there for the first time this evening. I had driven by many times and wondered… Today it is true this place is great. I had the special broccoli shrimp it was light and delicious. The hot and sour soup was full of flavor. The egg rolls were crispy and fresh. I gave a four because the fried rice although flavorful was pretty plain. It needed more vegetables. Also no spicy mustard or sweet and sour sauce or even chopsticks were put in my to-go bag. I will definitely be back.

1st time there, lady didn’t instruct directions to pay correctly, she was very rude, food had no taste, portion was only 1 small piece of chicken cut up, mostly veggies, and the food on picture was nothing like we recieved.

Not impressed with the the food. Egg rolls were charred, Chicken and beef didn’t have much flavor other than fried. Rice was stale. Disappointed. Hostess was friendly and polite.

Came here at 7pm. on a weekday. It was empty. I ordered the chicken fried rice and it was terrible. I gave an extra star for the friendly service but I doubt that I’ll be back. If you can’t make a simple dish like fried rice palatable then I can find a better place to eat.

The food is always good. I always do take out and I never have to wait. It’s always ready to go and that’s a huge plus for me.

The best Chinese place ever! I usually do the house rice with hot sour soup or the #4 special: salt n pepper fish. It’s always super delicious, never once did I find it disappointing and i’ve been coming here for the past 3 years or so. They did change hands a couple of years ago, but the experience hasn’t changed much. Maybe for the better. And the price is definitely right! The lady always tries to remember every customer to make a lasting impression. Do try it!

Went here the other day with a craving for Chinese food. I generally keep it simple and go with classics like chicken fried rice. My wife went with chicken chow mein. Those are pretty safe and don’t leave a lot of room for error. Both of these dishes were just ok. They both satisfied the craving but didn’t leave me feeling like I needed to go back for my next fried rice fix. What I would go back for is the salt and pepper fish. That had a nice flavor to it. Since I enjoyed that dish so much, it definitely kept the door open to go back and try some other items. The lady who took my order was very nice. The restaurant is a little small and there was no A/C, just a few fans running. Maybe I don’t get out take out too often but this place seemed a little expensive, especially for being outside of Seattle. I think I was around $ 32 after tax. For three dishes! I hope to update my review and increase the stars after my next visit.

I love this place, and was introduced by to it by my coworker. Great service every time I go. The host is super friendly and she’s not rushing you through your order as other busy places often do. My favorite is their house fried rice, although I can say I’ve not had anything there that I did not like.

I hate to write bad reviews, I honestly do. I know that food is a very subjective thing, and we’re not all going to all like the same things. Again on my girlfriend’s and my quest to find the best possible Americanized Chinese, we stumbled upon Green Valley. I’ve driven by a few times, and they didn’t seem too bad. The website was a little confusing, trying to figure out the menu and specials. So we just ordered some regular menu items(American Broccolli and Beef & General Tso’s — basic items that are hard to mess up and easy to compare). The prices weren’t bad. Timing for the food wasn’t bad either. We got there to pick it up, and it was two styrofoam boxes with three soup type containers on top. I said something to the person who checked me out about the rip in the side of the bag, and I was told«Oh, that’s so that your food doesn’t get soggy or steam, but don’t worry, its still sturdy!» Oooookaay? That’s what the holes by the handles are for, but whatever. I also asked for a printed copy of the menu, and was told to get it online… what Chinese restaurant DOESN’T have a take-out menu? Get home, inside the large square containers is a huge scoop of rice, a weird bean-sprout looking salad, and the entrée in the main portion. Under each entrée was some cabbage, so it wasn’t as full as it could have been. Beef and brocolli — not too bad, very tender, but the portion wasn’t worth it at all. I can’t speak too much, because this was my girlfriend’s dish, but she says there wasn’t much beef(where’s the beef!!!) and the carrots were mushy. I guess that vent hole in the side didn’t help with the vegetables getting soggy General Tso’s — This is where I have my biggest beef… er, i mean chicken(maybe this is where the beef was?). The third container of «soup» was actually the sauce for it! It was essentially about 8 – 10 pieces of fried breaded plain sweet and sour chicken. The sauce wasn’t that good. It tasted more like a container of Sweet Baby Ray’s Chipolte Honey BBQ sauce than General Tso’s sauce. I’d have to say that the rice was a positive because their steamed rice did have a nice texture, but that’s not much of a positive. More went into the trash than my stomach. I could have gotten 2 Deep Dish Little Caesars for the same price, and would have enjoyed those more…

We haven’t been in for a while and we enjoyed the food as usual. Everyone behind the counter is always fast and friendly. Last night, we had the wontons in hot oil and Korean Noodles(which has shrimp, scallops, chicken and veggies). Neither were too spicy, it was just right. A couple other of our favorites: twice cooked pork and beef noodle soup.

Even though they changed the owner but it was actually the chef that took over the restaurant so don’t worry if you were a fan of Green Village restaurant. The food is still very delicious! Friendly and fast service. Family owned so they take pride in what they do. Some of my favorite dishes here are: Shanghai noodle, twice-cooked pork, general chicken, orange chicken(wayyyyy better than Panda express), salt & pepper chicken, cold noodle & their fried rice. Try these if you don’t know what to order on your first time, you wont be disappointed! Also their portion is big and food entrée is always served with a side of soup(hot&sour Or egg flour). They also have Special of the day(usually 3 options) with really good price!

I’m still looking for a place that has the perfect fried rice. I was hopeful about Green Valley based on all the good reviews, but it’s not what I wanted. I got the beef fried rice, and I noticed right away that the beef was squishy. I haven’t ever had beef fried rice where the beef wasn’t either tough or squishy, but I guess I’d rather have tough than squishy. The rice itself was insanely greasy. The flavor was okay, but it needed a little something more than it had, like maybe some bean sprouts. It was more of a Chinese-style rice(which makes sense since it’s a Chinese restaurant), but I think I’m looking for something more Thai-style. I did appreciate that the rice wasn’t sticky or squishy like it can be at some places. I also tried the salt and pepper chicken wings, which had a lot more on them than just salt and pepper. They weren’t too bad. The strange thing was there was barely any spice on the drumettes, but the flats were super spicy.

This used to be called the Green Village 3, before the owner sold it to the cook back in the end of 2012. Originally, the was the Green Village on King St. in Chinatown, it was a full-service restaurant, then the second one, fast food style, opened across from the old Uwajimaya, this was the third. Well, enough store history. My fav here are the Chicken Cold Noodles(雞絲凉麵) and Szechuan Pork Noodles(担担麵). Can Unilocal!display Chinese characters? Have enjoyed them for the better part of the last 20 years, from Chinatown to here. Of course, their Braised Beef Noodles(紅燒牛肉麵) is pretty good as well. Work keeps me away from Seattle a lot, but everytime I come back in town I make sure to drop by to get my fill. The original owner was Taiwanese, so the food here(however Americanized) has a distinct Taiwanese flavor to them. I understand the new owner is from South China(with different taste palate and cooking style), here’s to hoping he doesn’t change the flavor or quality of the products. Around here this is the one and only place for the above-mentioned Chicken Cold Noodles. New owner, don’t screw it up! Don’t try to fix something that’s not broken.

It’s a family owned restaurant. The food, service and prices are good. The service is good. There house fried rice is flavorful & delicious! The fried rice also comes with hot & sour soup & that tastes really good. I like their Juice Beef Noodle Soup. The broth is very flavorful!

This place used to be Green Village 2… I believe their original location is the one located in Chinatown across the street from the old Uwajimaya store. The menu is basically the same, I’m just guessing the original owners sold of this location so that’s why the name change. Anyways, this is a great Chinese fast food spot, the owners are friendly, the food tasty and fast, and prices are reasonable. Get the juicy beef noodle soup or the house special fried rice. You also get a bowl of hot n sour or egg drop soup with your meal. You pretty much can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
