Dunigan Lawn & Landscape

Have been a customer of Dunigan Lawn & Landscape for more than two years.
Local family-​run. Honest, reliable, and quality work. Workers who come to your house are efficient and complete. They are careful around plants and do a great job cleaning up after yard work.
Have had them reseed my lawn and do some minor tree work too. Good price and good service.
Sometimes takes a while to get the invoice, but the price is always fair.

I called them to get an estimate to have my lawn cut and for some other landscaping projects. My call was returned about a week later and they said they’d come by and put the info in my mailbox. Almost another weeks went by and nobody came. I called again (you can only leave voice mails — there is nobody in an office to speak to). About a week later just as I was waiting for another landscaper to come (I had decided to give up on Dunigan), they showed up. The guy came over with a piece of paper with a number scratched on it and said, «Here is your estimate.» As he went to walk away, I had to ask, «I was hoping to hear from you sooner. What happened?» I was told they are busy and they didn’t get my second reminder until recently.
Huh? It takes a second reminder to get an estimate? I think you have to sign a contract so you are them committed to them — even if they get too busy. I don’t need to call and give second and third reminders for someone to come cut my lawn. It shouldn’t be this hard.
When I asked about scheduling, the guy said he didn’t do that part — just estimates. I love a company that sends out someone to sell their services and already their answer is «not my job».
As he left, I did tell him he really wasted my time and if they were that busy, they simply should have told me that. He said, «Wasn’t that much time I wasted. Get over it.»
Lovely, huh? I now have someone who shows up on a scheduled day, didn’t make me sign a contract (I don’t object to that but I won’t do it with a company who can’t even come out to give an estimate).
Not a good experience. There are too many landscapers out there for me to work with one who was rude (and unreliable in terms of showing up).
