My burger and fries were both quite good! I was working nearby and this was the quickest option for a lunch break. I asked for a big burger. What I got was… well… I suppose«big», to some. I wouldn’t call the burger I had anything special. But for the price, it all worked just fine. I’d put the food here above five guys/Dickie joes/McDonald’s. But it’s not the kind of place you make a special trip for.

Zips in Spokane is better if that’s what you are used to. No drink refills, fries were greasy and the burger had a weird taste to it. Not worth the 10 min drive out of the way.

Service was horrible. The girls working the counter either had resting bitch face or just had a shitty attitude. 5 bucks for a tiny little burger with a couple fried hotdogs and some pickles on it? And the worst part? I asked for a refill on my «large» soda which was maybe a 20 Oz cup and was told that they would charge me full price for another soda. Seriously? You’re better off going to burger king.

The food is really good. I had the bacon burger with fries and Pepsi. Price is very fair. It’s a hole in the wall type of spot but totally worth the extra ten minutes it takes if you are driving through on the highway. Staff was not very friendly otherwise they’d get five stars.

Food here is extremely greasy, but their milkshakes are delicious. Staff is hit and miss on customer service, but they’re always fast. Worth a try if you’ve never been here before, but it’s just a standard hamburger place.

Update to previous review. The Hand-written signage is less than it used to be. Still would be nice to get a refill or some extra tartar, but that is not how the managers want your experience to be. They know we think their burgers and fries are delicious. They know we are hooked. We are Papa Joe and Wrangler eating zombies, and there is no stopping us getting our fix.

I recommend it to everyone otherwise your missing out:-)

The Tartar sauce is Amazing! The bacon is crispy and they are generous with it! The fries are crispy and crinkly! We went on a Sunday at lunchtime and the service was great and the restaurant was clean! Seriously if you are in Kennewick then this is the place for burgers!

The good for being fast food is absolutely top notch great tasting. They are however on the small side with all their burgers being kid sized patties. For the price you pay for the good would like to see a little bit bigger so you don’t have to get the ten dollar burger to get full. And beware they don’t offer refills on Abby if the drinks other then water.

I used to work here as a teenager and this place is still up to par on the cleanliness and the quality of the food. This location takes pride in their food and service. ~Love Cable Bridge Zip’s!

We were on our Thanksgiving trip home and I was bragging Zips up to the family… this location was an embarrassment. The heater was out, the tables greasy and the ladies toilet clogged. The food was about the same as usual but no famous Zips fry sauce? Customer service was great but the place needs a serious face lift.

Yuck. Why anyone would eat here or why its been in business so long is completely beyond me. We get sick every time we try it again. The ice cream ones are bomb though, swirl. So good. The only reason I gave 2 stars.

Cheeseburger was delicious… the way a burger should taste! Mushrooms lacked flavor and were balls of grease.

My wife was«lucky» enough to grow up in Kennewick, a town in eastern Washington state I had never even heard of previously. From the very first time I flew into the Tri-cities airport, the very first stop we make, every single time, is Zips. Reminiscent of the DQ in my hometown, Zips has the aura of a pretty lady, perhaps forgotten, perhaps fallen by the wayside, the area around her rather than being gentrified over the years, becoming more and more industrial and while not completely forgotten, she’s simply not affluent enough to keep up with the current fashions. I actually kind of like that about Zip’s though. The place is tidy, if dated, & the food better than any chain of burger joints. This past trip I had the jalapeño burger and a pineapple shake, both were excellent. I bet at night the under 21 crowd would hang out here, making this a little like American Graffitti, but that’s just my imagination running wild. If you’re in Kennewick, do yourself a favor, and visit the original Zip’s.

This place is great. The burgers are greasy and the cheese is melted and rolling off the burgers, lets not forget the bacon, its real and not paper thin. Don’t be fooled this is the only Zips to get your burger fix.

A local standard. THE place for a great burger or fish and chips and oh so popular, you’ll see car’s parked in the street at lunch time. The food is NEVER reheated and always piping hot. They actually toast the buns. No this ain’t a fancy schmancy $ 10 burger place. this is a 50 year old burger joint that remains the top of the mark and not to be mistaken for others. this is the original Zip’s which are ok and better then the franchises. but certainly not at the old fashioned burger joint level.

Great place. I think I ordered some sort of Buster combo. The burger is awesome with bacon and slabs of ham and cheese. The fries were probably the weakest part of the deal but the fry sauce was good enough to make it all better. I don’t go to many places that make me say«i can’t wait to go back» and the next time I’m in Kennewick there is no possible way I’m gonna pass Zip’s! A solid 5 star place. p. s. I’ve read a lot of comments on additude, service and other dumb gripes. This is a fast food joint — not a french bistro. I don’t care if the pimple faced teen is hating his job, yawning and giving me shitty service — the food is worthy.

Normal good fast food. Their customer service and food handling standards are far superior to those of Richlands. Try those fries-YUM YUM!

Considered a three and half star because the server was barely awake and I don’t think we made eye contact once, but that is the first time that has happened here so I let it go. I love Zip’s. The Northwest is lucky to have a burger chain this good. Their secret tartar sauce makes the crinkle cut fries even better. Some franchises have cheaped out and gone with shoestring fries and some prepacked tartar. And I don’t go to those place anymore. One of my favorite things about Zip’s is when they say Bacon Burger, they mean it. The bun cannot contain the baconness! Some places give you two tiny paper thin peices of bacon they either hardly cook or they burn the crap out of. Not Zip’s. The bacon is HUGE, and THICK, and there is at least 3 pieces. Also love the shredded lettuce on the burgers. Don’t know why, just tastes better. Maybe it is a texture thing. And now for the big kudos. I asked for no tomato. I got no tomato. Anyone who has read my reviews know how ticked I get with places that give me tomato when I say no. It shows me they aren’t listening and aren’t trying. This Zip’s got it right. I am tempted to give this location five stars because they do such a good job and I love their food. But I think they cost too much. Maybe when Unilocal!gets around to ½ stars I can move it up a notch.
