I absolutely love this place! Everyone who works there is friendly and knowledgable and the Dr. is so kind and passionate about his work. I would recommend anyone to come and get their eyes checked here.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Sardella’s since before he opened his own practice. He is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to give all the time you need to talk about concerns and ask questions. You’d be hard pressed to find a more enthusiastic and talented guy.
The reason I give three stars is that unfortunately a few of the office team members are bringing down the quality of the practice. Some are great, but a couple bad apples spoil the bunch and you and you can see that reflected in other reviews.
I would still recommend putting up with that given how great Sardella is. I imagine that he’s too nice of a guy to fire the staff bringing him down. The fact that some of them continue to work there for years baffles me.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Sardella’s for years. I find him to be very attentive and thorough. The staff is friendly and very competent. Overall the service is fantastic.
While the eyeglasses sold in the office are pricey, they are very high quality and the man that runs that part of the business is very good at helping to select frames that are flattering.
I asked once to get my glasses prescription so I could get a cheaper pair. I had no problem at all getting it from them. I had a pair of sunglasses made at Costco and learned once again that «you get what you pay for». They were awful.

Had my glasses exam weeks ago. Wasn’t given my RX upon leaving-​a violation of PA law. Had a follow-​up for contacts, asked for my glasses RX-​was told it had to be «sent» to the optician out front. I could not get a copy. Instead, I was expected to buy glasses there – way overpriced. Experience was so uncomfortable.
When I spoke with my husband and others about it, I realized I had to cancel the order. I spent close to $ 600 for a «back-​up» pair of glasses-​ridiculous (I wear contacts all the time.) Tried to cancel the order 3 times 8 business hours after placing it. Was told it could not be cancelled. That is NOT industry standard-​had conversations with other providers and other consumers and cancelled orders are always honored in the first 24 hours and even after that. The lab hadn’t even sent out the materials yet! Glasses were no where near made! In fact, they are not supposed to be finished for 2 weeks! All they were doing is ordering the blanks from the lab. Should definitely have been able to cancel 8 business hours later. Bunch of bunk. Do not buy glasses here.
I also found out-​by accident-​that part of my RX was not right – and got it changed. I also got some indication that the other part of the RX is not what I have had for the last 5 years-​but couldn’t get that changed because they would not tell me what it was exactly! I fully expect that, despite overpaying for these glasses, the RX is not right and I will not be able to see.
Buyer beware. You should be given your glasses prescription without asking-​in the state of PA-​and not forced to buy glasses there. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and with my health insurer.
