I thank GOD for this dentist! After a horrific experience at my general dentist(which involved drilling a crown off 3 times) I needed a root canal. I was nervous as ever, as you could imagine. I prayed and prayed and prayed about this appointment… And wow, he was a blessing! Office is super nice and clean, check in was a breeze(and Super friendly). Dr. Slaton put me at ease. He explained everything in detail and I was comfortable the entire time I was laid back in the chair. Unfortunately he is not someone I want to see on a regular basis(no offense, but I really prefer just a cleaning) but man was he great! I will for sure recommend friends, co-workers and family to this practice. I actually wish he was a general dentist so I could see him for cleanings and check ups! He’s amazing and I’m so thankful I found him.

Dr. Slaton specializes in endodontics, dental implants, and dental surgery. I.e., he is the dentist you see when things go bad. I won’t detail the course of events that brought me to Dr. Slaton. Suffice it to say that it involved a broken molar, excruciating pain, and referral from my regular dentist. Scheduling was easy. Dr. Slaton works long hours and I was able to get in immediately. Dr. Slaton’s office is on Acworth Due West Road, in the Ortho-Sport building, near the Kroger. It is easy to find. There is plenty of parking. The office is large and immaculate. His staff is highly professional. Besides that, they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Dr. Slaton himself was outstanding in every respect. I told him that years before, a dentist treating me had found a break and promptly pulled the tooth. Dr. Slaton was aghast. He assured me that pulling the tooth was a last resort: there were several alternatives we would try first. He was confident that despite the break, he would be able to save the tooth.(He did). He explained what he would do. He showed me x-rays and described what they meant. I asked questions; he gave me full, complete, and accurate answers. I ended up having a root canal. The root canal involved zero pain. Zero discomfort. I mean, not a bit. After it was over, he showed me(on x-rays) what he had found, gave me prescriptions, and gave me clear instructions. He sent me back to my regular dentist for a crown, and we were done. I have no dental problems(aside from the break). However, if I ever had an issue involving endodontics, implants, or surgery, I would definitely see Dr. Slaton. I recommend him highly.
