Beverage Resort is a fun liquor store that tries to be creative with decorating while maintaining low prices. They had some nifty selections of bloody mary mixes, I picked up one extra spicy Tabasco brand bloody mary mix and one that was Lehmann brand jalapano– there was pepper and horseradish too. I love bloody marys. Anyway, we also paid reasonably for the tequila sunrise ingredients purchased.

Why anyone would go to the Beverage Resort when you have Total Wine & More and Sherlock’s Wine and Spirits down the street beats me. Yet, curiousity got the best of me and I stopped in to see what this store had to offer. It’s your typical liquor store … except it does have a giant waterfall and some stepping stones in the middle of it. It’s cute, but doesn’t make up for the fact that the selection isn’t that great and the prices are more expensive. The wine selection is only a few small rows, but there are plenty of liquor choices. The beer choices are a bit skimpy, but I did appreciate the cheapest six packs of Bud Lite Lime($ 5.99) and Sweetwater varieties($ 6.49) compared to other stores I visited this past Summer when I was on my beer kick. I also noticed that this place had a large selection of single servings and smaller bottles of liquor for the alchy’s, so I guess if you like to swig a little at work then this is a good place to stock up lol.
