Almost everything we ever ordered from them was good. Only had a minor issue but resolved. We went for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day and service was excellent and food was yummy!!! My favorites are the Beef Sirloin, Asian Almond Shrimp, Tuna Sashimi Stack and the Thai Rib Stack. Definitely recommend. :)

I called at 9:30 pm to place an order to go. I was afraid that they would tell me that they were no longer accepting orders… but to my surprise I was reassured that the order would be taken and it would be fine. I picked my order up close to closing time and the curve side hostess for extremely nice… addressed me by my name and made small talk with my daughter as I signed the receipt. I joked that I was an contestant of the Mother of the year award… she laughed and assured me that I had won!!! My brief experience with this young lady was awesome and I wished I remembered her name and I wished that she could pass on what ever secret it is that she possess to have such a cheerful disposition even at closing… They earned the 5 stars!!! Thank you

The waiter was new so our service was lackluster but the food was good. Try the shrimp and grits. The roasted corn grits are something unique… and good. They’ll give you a sample before you order if you ask. The kids meal portions are generous.

I was disappointed at the size of the ½ chicken for the cost but the taste made up for it. They sure know how to season their chicken.

Always love coming to Zea’s for the wet ribs. Definitely finger licking good. All of the sides and main dishes are pretty good. The roasted zea potatoes and red beans are probably my fave. My least fave would have to be the cabbage. Not horrible just lacking seasoning. This location in particular has plenty of parking and the overall service here is a 7.5 out of 10.

Okay… I finally ate here for the first time to see what the hype was about got starters I had the Almond Asian shrimps which was good wish that was my meal, I also had the garlic hummus with some pita bread which was also good. For my entrée I ordered a half and half Which was the half order of chicken and Thai ribs with two side items and mines were the red beans and roasted potato wedges. Now, I was thinking because my apps were good my food was about to be great… No not at all the only thing the lay was good was the ribs everything else got sent back to the kitchen like how do you mess up roasted potatoes??? But, Besides the food I had a great waiter he was so attentive, honest and polite…5 stars to him Maybe I’ll try a different location!!!

Very nice dinner experience on this occasion. Its been a couple of years since my last visit and the menu offerings have changed somewhat, much to my liking. A bit of a wait, but it is Saturday night. Service was excellent and well coordinated. Food was cooked perfectly and well seasoned with good flavors. I look forward to returning and trying some different menu items.

Fun fact: When I was in high school I hated Zea’s. Why? I have no idea. But everyone always wanted to go to Zea’s for dinner. I slowly became a Zea’s fan when I started getting the Almond Chicken Salad and the Cheeseburger, both which are delicious. This is one of the 5 locations in Louisiana I’ve gone too. Sometimes we will get take out from here(it is further from our house than the at Clearview, butt they have curbside pickup). On our most recent trip, I had a $ 10 gift card and we all got some delicious items. Mom got the Cheesburger, Ally got the fried Catfish, and I tried something new with the Korean BBQ Tacos. Like with any chain restaurant, there didn’t seem to be any pep in the waiter’s step. It took forever to get an iced tea filled, we were never check on, and the restaurant wasn’t busy. I would say the dine-in rating would be a 3 Food would be a 5 Take out a 4. Other favorites: Sedona Chicken Panini Spinach Dip Asian Almond Shrimp Thai Rib Stack

This is a suburban hot spot. Since discovering the awesomeness that is the Grand Theatre in Kenner, this Zea has become my new pre-movie checkpoint. If you’ve read my other reviews on Zea, or happened to observe me hovering around the Zea table at various Unilocal events, you’ll know that I probably love Zea a little too much. Anyways, the Kenner location is a freestanding outparcel in the Esplanade parking lot. Parking is a breeze, this is the burbs after all! This Zea seems slightly more decorated, yet slightly less spacious, than the Clearview location and the bar area is in a completely separate room. The bartenders are super friendly and attentive and make sure the drinks stay flowing. One thing I love about THIS Zea is the bar clientele; very approachable and easy to strike up a conversation with a stranger. This Zea is also close to the airport. When I was living out of town and would come to visit I’d always swing by here for one last meal before returning my rental car. Their Thai Ribs are great, their Tuna Steak is in the top 3 of tuna dishes I’ve ever eaten, all their different varieties of hummus are great, and CORNGRITS. FYI, the Target down the street is way better for drunken shopping than the Clearview target. No escalators.

This place didn’t sell me right just because of the neighborhood. But the surrounding area is a cute little shopping center right by the airport. I first looked at the prices and thought they were little expensive for a «bar and grill.» After tasting the food, I see why. I had the pesto trout with braised cabbage and roasted corn – you talkin’ ’bout delicious! The trout was blackened and had a crunchy texture — and that crispness just melted in my mouth. I also had a chance to try the Thai ribs and Thai shrimp. Booming with FLAVOR!!! If you get 5 stars from me, then you’re one of a kind. Ask for Danielle!

So I recently visited a couple times and I have to say, we’re fans. We ordered the hummus and crispy duck and both were delicious. The crab cakes were very good and had a nice kick of spice too. French 75 is my middle name and their new Lavender French 75 hits the spot. The only problem is inconsistency with service. Both visits were during happy hour but I wasn’t informed until the bill came. Basically, I could have gotten 2 for the price of 1. Both visits our server was either in the weeds or seen chatting with another table ignoring our needs. The poor service won’t deter us from returning as long as the food doesn’t become inconsistent too. This has the potential to become our new weeknight dinner spot when mama doesnt feel like cooking;)

Visited New Orleans for The Essence Festival weekend and my husband suggested we go to Zeas since he’s from N.O. And I was very pleased with everything!!! He absolutely loves and raved about the corn grits here and he was not over exaggerating. Very tasty corn grits. We also ordered the crab cakes and omg!!! To DIE for!!! My shrimp and grits were delicious too. Can’t wait to come back to Zeas when we visit New Orleans again.

I’ve been coming to this Zea location forever. Even back in the day when it was still attached to the Esplanade mall. My favorite app is the Mediterranean hummus. It’s just not a Zea experience if I don’t get it. The pesto crusted trout is one of my favorite entrees which comes with 2 sides. The trout always tastes very fresh and the pesto crust adds great flavor and a nice crunch. The pepper jelly spinach salad is also a cornerstone of the Zea menu. After a thousand times ordering it the last time I got it the salad just didn’t taste as good. It was like the dressing didn’t have any pepper jelly in it and lacked overall flavor. It wasn’t a big deal since my husband always over orders so I just ate some of his food. At the end of our meal our server, Justin asked if I wanted a box and I said I would pass since it wasn’t as on point. Justin was very apologetic and offered to remake it, but I really was full so it wasn’t necessary. I just wanted to inform them for the next guest. The kitchen manager then came out to apologize for my salad and offered again for him to remake it to go for later. I thought it was so nice they cared so much went to such great lengths to make sure to make sure I was happy. Justin is one of the best servers at Zea. He is super thorough and always on top of his game. He even does little things like put salt on your drink napkin to prevent it from sticking to the condensation on the glass. The best part is, you won’t even see him do it, it’s just there. Lately, it seems they have been changing up their menu to offer more shareable plates, which is pretty cool as long as they don’t touch my above mentioned favorites. They also looked to be expanding their bar menu. I will definitely have to go back and try their Lavender 75. I always try and sit at the bar when Alex is working because she can make some awesome drinks!

We have all been there: you and your date or your group of friends can’t decide on a place to eat. You don’t want to go as low as Applebee’s, but you aren’t ready to shell out the big bucks for fine dining. That’s where Zea comes in. It is a really great«in-between» restaurant. Zea is a crowd pleaser since it has a little of everything. The food: Zea has possibly the best hummus I have ever had. I eat this frequently as my meal, or get the Casablanca Chicken(grilled chicken with Mediterranean hummus and pita). I always have left overs of that. Their«off the grill» items are awesome, especially the Thai ribs. They also have a great selection of sides(snap beans, corn grits, potatoes, etc.) The atmosphere/service: This location is a little odd, but we mostly stay in the bar. I love the look of the bar and the bartenders are always knowledgable, friendly and fast. They make some awesome drinks too! I love the Z Rita and their Bloody Mary. What I don’t like: Zea seems to be trying to reinvent itself, and it isn’t looking so great. They are constantly taking off old favorites and adding on «shareable bites,» which seems to be their new«thing.» Stick with what works, Tastebuds! Tip: if you order out, order off the kids menu for the meat of the day or the catfish. It is filling and only 4 – 5 bucks. Can’t beat it!

I usually only go to chain restaurants for a standby when I am hungry and not really sure what I want to eat, because the menu tends to remain the same, and a certain standard is expected to be kept. I came here to get a moment’s break from my current work/volunteer/home routine. The hostess was the typical«I don’t really want to deal with anyone, let’s just get you to a table quickly» person. Brittany L was a very nice server, and kept the refills coming on my coke. I ordered the Pesto trout with sides of corn grits and roasted potatoes. After scraping some of the pesto off, the trout was very good, and I do really like their corn grits and roasted potatoes. I splurged and got the bread pudding for desert. It was HUGE! It lacked in flavor somewhat, but the sauce they used added the flavor that was needed. I did like the sprinkling of nuts on top. This will remain on my list of stand-by restaurants!
