I love Maine. And I love random ice cream stands in places you don’t expect to find them. That is Goose Rock Dairy. 40+ flavors of lactose induced love sure to give me the… Too bad Andy, it looks too good to pass up and you are on vacation. Moose Tracks and Monster Mash here I come. Doesn’t matter if the ice cream is good, it’s ice cream and it’s Maine !

Awesome, decadent, homemade ice cream. Treat yourself to Graham Central Station and thank me later.

This place is a counter at a shed in a weird compound that reminds me half of European campgrounds and half something from ChuckManson-Jim Jones world, kinda creepy really. Everyone I know raves about the ice cream here, so when we asked, and find out the ice cream is from Massachusetts, we almost left right there. There is such an abundance of fantastic Maine-made ice cream, why bother trucking it up from the land of M^&*holes? So, their prices are normal for the area, the portions are enormous, two big plus points. But the quality is not there. Just another mile down the street you have Rococo, possibly the best gelato in all of Maine, at the same prices. And just down the road you have Dairy Joy in Biddeford, which looks like a dump but has really good ice cream. Not to mention at least three decent creameries in Saco. OK, it’s better than the Good Humor trucks that jingle around the local beaches, so they get two stars from me…

They opened for breakfast today. Two of us had the buffet, which included scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, pancakes, homemade breads, etc. The price was $ 14.95, but the owner said that was last year’s price because they were training some new staff this weekend. The food was yummy. We will definitely be back. Note: it’s cash only and no ATM on site, and they are only open for breakfast Fri, Sat and Sun.

Why is this place 2 dollar signs? My friend treated himself and 3 of his friends here for under $ 20. And everyone got enough dairy to have lactose problems later that night. We were full and bloated. In the business, that’s what they call«floated.» The ice cream itself was great! The consistency is perfect and the waffle cone I got was delightfully crispy. The scoops were huge but my cone came out anything but unwieldy. My white shirt lives to see another day. The Kahlua ice cream they had was only pretty good(hence the 4 stars), but the triple chocolate was a show stopper. The Monster Mash I sampled was also fantastic. I will be back!

This is a Kennebunkport MUST. I always go for Chocolate Chip in a sugar cone with chocolate jimmies — but they have lots of great flavours and big sizes! Always excellent!

I can’t quite figure out the compound this place is in, but who cares, really, it was dark and I had the best value for ice cream ever! We saw the large cups, which were only 50 cents or $ 1 more than the regular… but whoa… you get the cup plus about the same amount piled on top. It was almost embarrassing since I am a pretty light eater. Traditional flavors, but lots and lots of them. Can’t compare in terms of culinary creativity to Roccoco, but as far as traditional ice cream goes, this was a great value and yummy too.

Take my boyfriends’ children and myself to get ice cream. 10y. o 5y.o and me-30 y.o. We stand at the counter for a few minutes, giving the girl behind the counter ample time to finish her doodle before we finally have to ask to be waited on. No friendly ‘hi there’ nor ‘may I help you’…just a look up from her pad of paper… we rattle off our order…1 ice cream cone gets handed to us, as the(hate to say it) «rude teenage girl» tells us the amount. I hand her my debit card, all production stops. They do not accept debit cards. There is no sign on the window anywhere stating this. Well Houston, we have a problem. The girl already gave us 1 ice cream. What am I to do, hand it back??? So I happen to have $ 7 in cash. I tell the bratty girl, please take my ice cream off and let me know what the amount will be. $ 7.73. I tell her all I have is $ 7. She says absolutely not. I have a 5y. o looking at me, seeing his sister with her ice cream, and he is putting it together. I explain it wasn’t ok to not have a sign saying cash only. I dig thru my purse and find .42 $. I tell her I have 7.42. She again says«nope we can’t do that». Between her sitting there doodling for the first few minutes, waiting to b waited on, to the rudeness in any of her remarks, to the lack of sign, I was ready to take the cone we already had and smear it on the counter and leave. Thankfully there was another girl in the back that had over heard the entire problem, came up and said to her coworker, take the $ 7.00 we can do that for them. I left the remaining .42 $ as well. Never will I go back, I live less then 2 miles down the road. Christ my family not so long ago owned that damn land!!! It shouldnt be so difficult and frustrating to grab a ice cream!!! i loved their college tip fund on the counter! maybe try being polite to people and you may actually get a tip! Who ever owns the business now is a fool to not pay attention to these reviews, or to not invest in better help!!! And make it clear that you only except cash!!!

I LOVEGOOSEROCKSDAIRY! I pulled up praying they’d have peppermint stick ice cream only expecting to be disappointed. I was wrong, they had it! It is homemade and absolutely delicious. A small cone is $ 4 and is HUGE. It was so creamy, flavorful and delicious. It is cash only so be prepared but they had a lot of flavors and it was a good value!

Literally the best ice cream I have ever had in my life! This place is amazing, the service is fantastic, and they have at least 20 flavors at any given time including frozen yogurt and sorbet! They have all the fun, regular toppings and offer classic sundaes/milkshakes too. When I am in town over the summer when they are open, I’m there almost every night, love this place!
