This place is awesome! I have been here twice and they literally have everything you need for your home bar or home brew kit. I was buying a gift for somebody and not really sure how the whole brewing thing works. The people there were really helpful in deciding what to buy and what else I should buy. They offer home brewing classes which I would love to check out!

I went for a Unilocal event, which was great(see my review for that,) and, during the event, I said«I really wish I hadn’t missed the Homebrewing event!» «Oh, well there just happened to be room for one more tomorrow!» So, a day later, I’m back at this fine place. The class was totally full, with about 15 of us in attendance. The guy running the class was head of the Niagara Homebrewers Association(as well as being an employee) and he definitely knew his stuff. I’m one of those people who has a lot of book learning when it comes to homebrewing, but I didn’t have a lot of practical, hands-on experience. Tim knew his stuff and was really tolerant of all of us asking questions. I had a great time, and I’d definitely recommend taking any of their classes if you’re remotely interested. The store itself is clean and very well organized, sorted into various sections. One side is dedicated to brewing, the other side is dedicated to cocktails and barware. Sprinkled throughout are other things. You can buy everything you need to build an elegant bar, and everything under the sun to supply that bar. One of the best things is that there are a lot of local companies represented. There’s beerware from pretty much every Buffalo area microbrewery. There’s a wall of bitters and mixers that you can’t find anywhere else. There is a fridge of specialized yeasts and other items for your brewing. They also do a lot of business online, so if you’re not in Buffalo, you can still get all of their products online. So, if you have any interest in a home bar, or if you’re looking for some special and unique gift for the person who seemingly has everything, try this place. They may just have something to surprise you.

Holy bitters this place is cool. From home brewing kits, to kegerators, shakers, infusers, strainers, glassware, décor, and more! After they hosted a Unilocal«Bartending 101» event, I fell in love with both the staff and the shop. And great news! My new love for home bar equipment can be fueled and stocked by KegWorks, a quick five minute drive from my apartment. The staff are knowledeable, polite, fun-loving, casual, and incredibly helpful. The products are incredibly diverse, with unique and standard items for every interest and budget. Stocking your first home bar? They have all the staple items for as little as $ 1(sometimes even less) and everything you could possibly need for any cocktail, brew, wine, etc.(minus the actual alcohol). KegWorks stocks many of the bars and restaurants throughout the WNY area with all of their bartending needs and now, they’ll be stocking my(very limited) home bar for the forseeable future. Really cool to stop in and check out, I’ll be back soon!

I have really never seen anything quite like this place. The name might say BEER, but in actuality — it’s the larges store of it’s kind and it’s about everything BOOZE and I mean that in the best way possible. If you have someone hard to buy for and they like to drink — stop in here and you just might find the perfect gift. I thought I was done Christmas shopping, but I found some really cool stuff that I’m sure my son will enjoy! You can also check the place our on line — but on line shopping will have you missing the other great part about this place — the staff. They are really amazing folks who are there to really help you — you won’t feel like an inconvenience here! A list of everything they have in this post wouldn’t be a cool thing to do — so either check them out on line or stop in before Christmas!

Normally I would stop into the store for my supplies but I knew I wasn’t going to have a chance for a few days so I placed an order and did the two-day shipping. The next morning I got a call from Kevin who noticed I chose the two-day shipping but lived in East Amherst. He gave me a better option and said he would have a delivery service pick up the supplies and deliver them that day. He said if it was going to be cheaper they would refund me the difference and if it cost Keg Works more they would just eat the cost. When I got home from work my supplies were waiting at the door! That is some really great customer service!

We had a great Unilocal event yesterday with Tim from Kegworks. Kegworks is located on Military Rd. Fairly close to Mooneys bar & grill. Kegworks supplies everything you could need for your home & restaurant bar. Tim took the 15+ people through the basics of home bartending and recommended tools to make tasty cocktails at home. We were also able to get behind their test bar and make a few drinks like a Manhattan, Margarita(Daisy Tequila) and a tasty Mosxow Mule(2 oz. Vodka, lime and ginger beer). Anything you could need to prepare your cocktails could be bought right at the store. They also have a larger online inventory if they do not have the needed items in the store. The staff is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. Go there and support a local business and take in the wonder that is Kegworks. If you need it, they will have it.

The guys at Kegworks were extremely helpful and walked me through the steps to get my kegerator working great! Thanks again. I would definitely recommend them for any of your drinking needs.

«Son, never trust a man who doesn’t drink because he’s probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They’re the judges, the meddlers.» — James Crumley That’s the best advice I can give you — a man who doesn’t drink is a man who can’t enjoy one of life’s simplest pleasure and this place is a drinking mans wet dream. Those of us who are«at home bartenders» love Keg Works. There are cocktail and bartending acoutrement as far as the eye can see. The best part is, everyone there is extremely knowledgeable. Besides, if they work in a store for the enjoyment of alcohol consumption, they drink for sure and you can certainly trust them. :)

This place is super cool. So convenient having this right here in Buffalo. I no longer have to order from cocktail kingdom or other competitors or pay for shipping. The bitters selection is awesome, as is their glassware. They have pretty much every bar accessory you need! Whenever I need something for my home bar, this is where I go without hesitation. Staff is real friendly and helpful. They also offer brewing classes as well as cocktail classes.

Very dangerous place for a new home brewer on a very tight budget, I feel like a kid in a candy store when I visit. They have great brewcraft home brew kits, ingredients, and all the home brew equipment you could want. Hope to upgrade my fermentation pail to a glass carboy and my collection of growlers to a 2.5 gal keg soon. And all of that is only half the store, the rest is home bar supplies.

The comments about the retail store are spot-on — lots of hard to find items available there in addition to home brewing equipment. As far as the customer service goes, all I can say is it must have improved recently. I had difficulty with a custom whiskey dispensing barrel order through the website, which was needed for a special occasion. I found the staff to be both understanding and patient, and they were able to get me my order with two days to spare. The only caution I would throw out there is that some larger customizable items(such as the whiskey barrel) are not produced by Kegworks — they contract the production out to a supplier, and your experience may vary depending on how on the ball the supplier is.

Gotta get these guys stars up as other reviews on here seem to be for their website and have to deal with ordering or customer service, but the KegWorks retail store recently opened in Buffalo area is AWESOME!!! I stopped in yesterday as I had a gift certificate. I originally got it for their website as I read their blog,(you should too, lots of cool beer and drink related info) and wanted to order some home brew equipment but never did as I didn’t want to pay shipping and didn’t have time to pick it up at their warehouse, as they closed at 5pm, and that was only option. Well when I read on their blog they were opening a retail store, I was excited for a chance to check it out and use the gift certificate. When I did yesterday I was impressed. They have all sorts of liquor /drink related merchandise. Along with the home brew stuff, you can find home draft beer equipment. Any kind of merchandise for setting up your own bar at home, bar stools, signs and lights with beer logos, glassware, mixers and bitters,(tons of bitters craziest selection I have ever seen), stuff to make growlers more portable. Store itself is setup really nice to check all this stuff out. I mean I half expected something to be just thrown together to get stuff out of the warehouse. Not at all, the displays are organized and setup great. It’s a decent size too and I had no problem finding what I wanted or just looking at the other stuff. Check out their website to get a feel for what they have and if you’re in the area, go to the store to look the stuff over. You won’t be dissapointed.

I ordered three bottles of bitters from Kegworks. I used FedEx shipping and they came quickly, well packed in a sturdy box. I am completely satisfied with my order, even though I was worried due to the low reviews here. I would order from this company again. They also take Paypal, which is convenient. I would recommend using that payment type because then if you have a problem, you can open a file with Paypal and get your money back. But I had no trouble with KegWorks at all. All the bitter bottles were sealed too, which was nice.

returned a defective soda syphon and argued with me over the phone saying it was not defective for a half hour. he finally said he’d take the return for 35% restocking fee and shipping charged, and then he hung up on me. lets see if i get any money back. product was cheap and no-name and way too expensive. ruined my fiancé’s birthday present.

Okay, I’m admittedly sliding down the slope and about to faceplant the sign that says«Historical Cocktail Dork,» except where I live has no bitters available other than Angostura. Boohoo woe is me. But Kegworks sells Peychaud bitters, absolutely necessary for mixing a Sazerac, as well as the complete line of Fees’, one of which I ordered from them online. I happened to be in Buffalo over thanksgiving and dropped into their offices. Not only did they have some REALLY arcane bitters available, they also had jarred Luxardo maraschino cherries. Granted, my interests are a bit specialized, but these guys are not only friendly and helpful, they’re astounding.
