Very hot this year, it was my first time attending, so I didn’t know to bring extra water and an umbrella for the sun, I felt so drowsy from the heat afterwards. I enjoyed watching the folk dances and listening to the folk music. There wasn’t much to buy, eat, or drink at the festival. I thought the pastries were really good and very memorable though! I’ve never had those Scandinavian pastries before, too bad I don’t remember the names, and they were all sold out even before the pole holstering ceremony, so I didn’t get to bring any home. They were very good though and reasonably priced. I especially enjoyed the flower crown making at the festival. I am very impressed with the lively spirit in which the organizers of the event had, they dressed themselves in heavy Scandinavian transitional outfits… it was so hot, I didn’t know how they managed. I very much enjoyed looking at their clothes. There was no cover, so I got super sick from standing and sitting in the heat. I didn’t manage to stay for the group dance, but I am glad I at least stayed long enough to see the post being fully lifted. Great event!
