The food and drink are okay. Sub par at best considering the part of town. The staff sucks. Bartenders are inattentive and the staff eats in front of customers like it’s their job. I live around the corner but would rather go to Mooneys because they act more professionally. Multiple staff members gorge themselves on food at the front of the house bar as customers order drinks. I’m a restaurant manager. This would never happen at my restaurant(a professional work place). Never eating here again. The unprofessionalism of this place disgusts me. Prices are reasonable but service sucks! Girls in the leopard print shirt is a bartender. Girl in black shirt is a server.

this was out first time at Borth End bar and Grill for dinner. We got there just after four and it was still quiet. Shortly after we got there it picked up quickly and all the tables were taken. The waitress was friendly and quick to greet us and get us started. I had the chicken finger sandwich with hand cut fries, my wife had beef on weck. There was a slight issue with sandwich as I ordered it without blue cheese and it did come with blue cheese on it. The issue was handled quickly and politely and very quickly it was replaced. The sandwich was delicious as were the hand cut fries, which were crisp. The beef on weck was juicy and loaded with beef. Excellent place to eat and have a drink we will definitely be returning.

Great place, terrible location. I know they property pull do great if they were in the village or even a little farther down Elmwood. I got take out. Wasn’t bad, they didn’t charge me for loaded fries. I had a cheeseburger, couldn’t go wrong.

I love this place! Every time I have come here the food has been great. They offer daily specials as well as the usual staples for a bar restaurant. Great burgers and wings, natural cut fries, and my favorite fish fry in Buffalo. I’ve tried a bit of their menu and nothing has disappointed me. The North End also has reasonable prices, both for food and drinks.

If you don’t care about ambiance or décor this place is great. The staff are friendly & the food is really good, but the place looks like you are eating in a men’s bathroom. There is a wall of shiny black tile that looks like a restroom right in the dining area & the rest of the decorations are posters. Hopefully they may renovate or get a decorator in there someday.

We didn’t have too much time but we wanted a fish fry, bad. Never thought we would be able to get in and out in 45 min but we did!!! The fish fry was one of the best I’ve had in a long time, hot, fresh and delicious. Next time we’ll try something different, I heard the steak sandwich is fabulous! Life’s too short for bad food so we’ll definitely be back.

My new favorite place! The first thing I noticed upon entering is that this place is clean. The bathrooms are clean as is the rest of the restaurant. You can always tell by a nice, clean ketchup bottle;) The service was fast and courteous and the best part is the food! The food was delicious and you can tell it’s made fresh. It’s Friday and lent so we ordered fish. The fish didn’t have that usual weird ammonia taste that most places have. This was definitely fresh and yummy! I ordered sweet potato fries with my meal and I can honestly say these fries are better than most. I don’t normally eat coleslaw because I don’t care for it but this coleslaw is really delicious. It’s not mushy at all. Instead it has a fresh crisp taste. The menu includes a variety of burgers, wraps, salads and other offerings like turkey dinner, ribs, chicken parm, pasta and lots more. Lastly, they are very fairly priced; a good value for the quality food you get. You definitely need to check this place out. You won’t be disappointed!

Really enjoy their steak in the grass sandwich — the hand cut fries are addicting.

This location has been doomed since Kronies went out of business a while back. North End shows some promise though. They actually took the time to remodel the space and add a legit sign to the building to show people they’re here to stay. I’ve eaten here a few times and have never really been blown away. Its an average menu for an average bar in Kenmore. The bar area has a crammed feel to it. It’s a weird layout, but they’re doing their best with what they have. I do have to say that their liquor selection is better than most bars you’ll find in Kenmore. I was pleasantly surprised to find Blantons bourbon in this joint! Beer selection is okay — at least they have Pumking on tap. Negative marks for being bombarded with fruit flies every time I’ve been here and slow service. I wouldn’t trust any of the bartenders here to make me a cocktail that wasn’t vodka based with some neon colored, artificial flavoring agent in it.

Had a breaded fish fry. Came with great selection of sides. Food was good. Service was very slow. I would do take out next time.

Stopped here on Saturday afternoon with my husband. We were the only ones there and grabbed a seat at the bar. It’s very clean and our bartender was super friendly. We ordered a couple drinks and split the Nachos and Turkey Wrap. The Nachos were good, nothing special, I would definitely try something else as an app next time. Our wrap was delicious, it came with a little bag of chips, which we did not eat. The bartender was explaining the menu to us and told us that the majority of their menu is homemade. She also said how busy they get on a Friday night for a fish fry. Nice addition to the area, we look forward to going back.

Very new place! Weirdly located, but not popular enough to be busy yet. Had an AMAZING steak in the grass sandwich. Steak was a little fatty but it was still amazing. Waitress was nice, but they are literally so new that they didn’t even have a drink menu. It was Sunday, so I wanted a mimosa and they did not have champagne… even though it is a bar. Good food though, definitely worth checking out. Kind of pricey for a new place. They have a patio, though, which was nice on a nice day! X’s and O’s! J

I feel like I’m being nice by giving this place 3 stars, because if you’re going to call yourself a bar and grill, at least have decent food. This place should stick to serving drinks because the food was not good. I’ve been here twice and ordered french fries and a chicken finger wrap. The prices aren’t terrible but the food was overly greasy, tasted over cooked and just wasn’t enjoyable. For the price that I paid I would at least want to be able to finish my food. Other than that this place is okay, not a lot of diversity but that is to be expected. I don’t think this place is horrible, but maybe a new chef is in order.
