This gentleman was so sweet! I heard him recommended on Facebook, and so glad I took my business to him! These are the people I miss! Old school, honest, and great work! Thank you John! It was a pleasure and I will be back!

My parrot pulled my diamond out of my engagement ring and bent two prongs in the process. I took it into the Jewel Box and John reset the diamond and straightened the bent prongs right on the spot! He also recommended I have the prongs rebuilt and reinforced. Since I have that crazy parrot, I took his advice. I just got my ring back last week, and it looks great! I was even charged less than the originally quoted price(which was only 150 to start with). Great price and excellent work. I’ll definitely be coming back here for any future needs.

My parents have been going to Kenmore Jewel Box for years. They trust the owner, John, and recommend him to all of their friends and family. He’s honest with you and is someone that you can trust with all of your jewelry needs. He helped me design my engagement ring along with wedding band and I get so many compliments, I tell everyone to go see John! His prices are reasonable for any jewelry or watch repairs. You can tell that his family means a lot to him… see his wall of photos. If you’re lucky, he’ll add you to the collection!

Herff Jones is the man who runs this place. He’s a German Jew who escaped the Holocaust, and he is a wonderful, wonderful man. He cut off my first husband’s wedding ring when I got so fat it was too tight on my right(widow’s) hand. I miss the ring, because it was a daily reminder of Ron. Herff is heavily freckled like me, and I love that man and think you should go to his jewelry shop and get a really good deal on some nice small pieces of gold jewelry. He also does expert, experienced watch repair and other nice repairs of whatever small related items.

Bought an $ 8 watch on Amazon and the battery died shortly after getting it. Love it so I went to the mall to see how much a battery replacement would cost. Got quotes from $ 15 – 20 + 1 – 3 year warranty. Too rich and corporate for my blood so I went to the Jewel Box down the street from my house. Battery cost $ 5 cash and was fixed within minutes. Couldn’t have asked for more!!!

I would highly recommend this business to anyone in the area. John is a very kind man who is incredible at what he does, and has great prices! I have gone to John since I was little, after being recommended by my mother, who was recommended by my grandmother. He has made incredibly beautiful custom pieces for me and my family members. And every repair I bring to him comes out looking better than before, and often all he asks for is a donation to charity! I now live in Bellingham and I still come to him whenever I need a repair. I would trust him with any of my jewelry.

True old school ma-pop owned jewelry store. Cash only. Watch battery replacement service: Had multiple watches serviced here. Only $ 5-$ 8 per battery for replacements, very competitive price. However the bottom seal brand decals are not perfectly aligned, and one was positioned upside down. I noticed one watch did get scratched on the bottom. I understand it’s tricky to pop off the seals, with a blade, but he should have at least pointed it out and apologized. So absolutely recommended for quick inexpensive battery replacements, but not if you’re picky.

What a sweet heart! My husband bought my engagement ring here, after shopping around for a while. He told me about John after we got engaged and we went back to get our wedding bands from him. After 2 minutes with John I knew why my husband had choosen his shop. His shop is small so we had gone somewhere else to look for ideas for our bands… John told us why what we were thinking for my wedding band wouldn’t work — which the other place hadn’t even mentioned. The other place was just trying to get us to buy something. John isn’t pushy, unless he is asking for your wedding picture to add to his wall. =) My husband wanted something different for his own wedding band and John was able to make it for him. We have since gone to him for other things. He fixed a watch for my husband and sized my grandmothers ring down for me. Everything is quality and very reasonably priced.

This place a diamond in the rough(so to speak). The owner is incredibly friendly and will do whatever he can to help you out in a pinch. I brought my grandmothers ring in to have it re-sized and the diamonds checked. I left the ring with him, torn and tattered, and came back to something beyond my wildest dreams! The ring fit like a glove and he kept the integrity of the ring intact, I was speechless and wanted to hug him when I saw it. Not only that, but he charged a fair price, much less than the larger establishments I had taken my ring to for estimates. I also got a feel that he really cared about me and my ring, he listened to my story and how much it meant to me and offered suggestions of how best to mend it. I love this place and will be back! It may not be the posh-ist place in town but this guy delivers and he does it well! I would highly recommend him, I’m so happy I found Kenmore Jewel Box!

The guy who runs this place is a real gentleman. I brought two inexpensive watches in here(Fossil brand) that both needed batteries. One needed a new band since the clasp was broken. First, he replaced the batteries while I waited. Then he tried to fix the broken clasp(at no charge) to save me the cost of a new band. It did not work but he tried. When I could not find a new band that I liked in his stock, he took an old band off a discarded watch and put it on my watch for free. It cost me eight dollars for a new(to me at least) band and both batteries. Wow! I told him that I felt like I should pay something for the band and his time. He suggested I donate a dollar to the Humane Society box he had on his counter. I gave five and left feeling great about this guy and his business.

Need a watch battery changed? This is your place! The guy that runs the shop is great. I went in there the other day and didn’t have cash on me(credit cards not taken). He changed the watch on the battery and let me come back later with the payment. How many places are still like that? This is the genuine, real-deal small-town shop. I would give it 5 stars but the inventory of other items seems to have dropped of late. I think that is more a reflection of the economic times than anything. I like to support the local businesses, if I can.
