Ron Boi knows bikes like you wouldn’t believe. I brought my bicycle into his shop with a chain that kept falling off. Ron took a look at it, and knew that the problem was a bent chainring. That was nice, and his ability to diagnose the issue was great. Most other bike shops I have visited would have noticed the bent chainring, and let me know I needed to replace it, and I would have been happy with that. Ron Boi grabbed a tool, and bent that sucker back! 10 minutes after bringing my unridable bicycle into his shop, he brought it back to life at a price that was way more than fair. The icing on the cake? He’s got some of the best bicycle stories you’ve ever heard. Come for the bike repair, stay for the entertainment!

On the day I bought my bike, I visited 7 bike stores in my search.
Chicago, Wilmette, Evanston, I searched high and low for the bike that would become my primary mode of transportation for the next several years.
RRB was my last stop. I had never been in before. As soon as I went in I was greeted by two friendly and patient employees (Tim + Ron). I felt completely at ease as we discussed my wants, needs, and bike history. The bike the pointed me to couldn’t have been more ideal. I wouldn’t have seen it on my own, as it differed significantly from what I had imagined. But as soon as I took it on a very long suburban test ride, I knew it was for me.
Now, obviously I could have found a similar bike at a different store. However, After traveling to seven separate stores, detailing my needs to each, I was not directed to anything worthwhile until RRB. Excellent customer service to say the least. Both times I have dealt with this shop they have stayed past closing to help me out.

Wow, I get to be the first one to review this shop. I first got to know Ron as a custom bike frame builder. When steel bike frames were in fashion Ron designed the best. This is absolutely the best bike shop to go to for fitting, comfort and all your bike needs. He is one of the legends in the business.
