First of all they seem to have a nice wine selection but I am basing my review on the customer service. Also I should have gone to Glendale nearby where they are friendly but it was 9:20 pm and they were closed so I went to Vingo. I walked around looking for wine and at about 9:40 pm the manager came over and said I had to leave. I was a little surprised since it was 9:40 pm and I figured that the store would close at 10. I said can you spare 2 minutes to give me a suggestion but he mumbled something about paying cash and they he will be fined if he doesn’t close the store and the township is very strict. I guess assistance /help is not part of the equation here. I almost left the store without buying anything but I really needed to purchase this item to bring to a party the next day. I paid for my wine and as I left I noticed that the large open sign was still lit up and some other customers were pulling up. I am not aware of the township laws for liquor stores but they should provide better service and inform customers of the closing time and cutoffs to receive assistance.

THE neighborhood liquor store I’ve always wanted to have since I was 12 years old. Such nice service and WOW. They do the«wine» part of «Wine & Spirits» justice. They have so much variety and sizes that I cannot find anywhere else. Definitely happy to shop here, the owner always packs a nice smile, crazy liquor knowledge, and a good joke(because he’s the type of dude to remember you after a couple visits!) If asked where I would go to first in the beginning of a zombie apocalypse, I would answer«Vingo Wine & Spirits»

I used to go to Vingo’s all the time, they have a large selection and I always found what I needed. However I have on two occasions bought bottles of wine from them that had gone bad, probably because of storage… The second time it happen I went back to the store a few hours after my purchase and explained that the wine was not good, I could tell by the smell as soon as I opened it and the color and taste after I poured it. I buy this specific brand all the time so I was sure of it. I simply asked if I could grab anther. The owner was extremely rude to me and yelled at me about how I was accusing him of selling bad products and that this wine«doesn’t go bad» and stated there is a no returns or refunds policy. I calmly told him that I wasn’t accusing him of anything and all I wanted was another bottle of wine but he continued to be hostile with me. I told him that he should taste the wine before he yelled at me but he said that he «doesn’t taste wine». I then told him that I wouldn’t be coming back and I never will.

Have you ever been at a store where you have a list of things you wanted to buy and wish you had someone tell you exactly where they all are? This place has such service! I’ve never reviewed a store before but this place deserves a note. Here’s what happened, I walked in with a printed list of GQ’s top 50 beers and asked the cashier for help. He then directed me to ask the man with the bushy mustache. This guy is packing so much beer knowledge that you wouldn’t believe! He glanced at my list and went down each beer one by one and marked down which ones he had. One the ones he did have, he told me EXACTLY where I can find it in the store without the slightest hesitation: «Aisle 13, in the refrigerator, top shelf». And if that wasn’t enough he would tell me why they don’t have a certain beer, «This one is seasonal, it’s not the right season, try again in winter.» Wow. I have new respect for this man and this store for carrying such a huge variety. In the end Vingo stocked around 70% of GQ’s top 50 beers and I’d definitely come back here to restock. I don’t normally buy these beers so I’m not sure what the prices are relative to everyone else but I like to use a 750ml bottle of goose as my benchmark and per that benchmark, this store is cheaper than the one down the block in the CVS strip mall area.

Staff — friendly. If you ask they will likely have a general recommendation or two. Selection — oh my goodness. They have a massive selection. They have a wide variety of beers from your typical Coors/Bud to Sierra Nevada to Belgian Lambics and Corsendonk. Shelves upon shelves of different brands and qualities of vodka, whiskey, gin, etc. They even had at least 5 different varieties each of Sambucca and Ouzo. In terms of wine it’s pretty amazing how much they have in every imaginable variety. The store is huge and about 2/3s of it is wine arranged categorically for your perusal. Pricing — seems average to above average. Occasionally they mark some items as «special» but I’m not sure if that is just marketing as I don’t buy much.
