I have been going to this place for quite a while. Dine in or carry out. Always great. Check it out! Don’t think you will be disappointed!

First time here! I used to live in Germany many years ago so I have some experience i this department. The inside is small and casual(which is nice!), they have all the German candy and sweets you could imagine including an entire bakery worth of cakes and pies. They also have fresh bread! The menu was simple and had all the expected dishes for a German eatery. I decided to go with the Curry wurst and fries and I also got a side of lentil soup. The food was out pretty quick and all the staff was very kind in checking in to ensure nothing else was needed for the meal. Pricing was reasonable and I ended up getting some candy on the way out. I will definitely be coming back here when I’m in the area to see how the other dishes match up!

I’m here at least once a week. Great authentic menu and since they have imported German beers it’s my go to place. I hate strip mall chain restaurants and this mom n pop place is well worth the drive west from the Killeen/Heights strip.

The absolute best, most authentic German food you can find outside of Bavaria!

Went there for the first time and got just the regular bratwurst with sauerkraut and potatoes. I’ve had this many times in many different cooking styles. It was nothing that blew my mind but it was definitely very tasty. I would recommend this place if you’re in the area and looking for food. If you want to be really wowed then I would head down to New Braunfels or Fredericksburg. But if you need a quick fix of German food at a good price, this is the place.

Lived in Germany for a few years. I was stoked to have found this place. Needless to say I was very disappointed. Nothing like the authentic Bavarian meals. They try though. Just saying, if you’ve had the authentic stuff don’t get your hopes up. The jaggerschnitzel was undercooked and the mushrooms looked as though they came from a can.

Good, no very good bread. Bienenstich is the best in the area. The lunch is very good and well worth the stop. They have a small lebensmittel if you run out at home. Good candy and cookie selection for the children. I buy bread here at least once a week.

The food was incredible. Definitely authentic German food. I got a Reuben and German chocolate cake and wow! The French fries were also really crispy and fresh tasting. The only complaint I have is when we were ready to check out, it seemed like all the servers disappeared. We sat around for about 20 – 30 min waiting to pay our check. Usually that’s not that big of a problem but when you have little ones, timing is everything The people are really nice and friendly and their food was to die for! Maybe we just had lunch at a time they’re not usually busy?

I hate to say this, but I really didn’t like this place! I went there with an open mind and because of the recommendations from a friend. I ordered one of the appetizers which was reading something like assorted breads and dip and what came out was cold slices of 4 different tiles of bread loaves in a plate. The schnitzel was also tasted like preheated and smudged in some sauce I’m sorry– the waitress was nice, tho!

Today was not what I expected. I got a cream puffs or some call them horns. They was hard as rocks. I called and ask who made them, she says John who always made them, it’s a lie, it’s know for a fact it was a older lady. I was told, it’s eating one right now and nothing wrong with mine, again a lie… these was made way different. It was a waste of money and time to call, it’s wasn’t happy with her acting like it was all me.

By far the best bakery in the area!!! N.Y. Cheese cake like I grew up with in Brooklyn. I haven’t eaten from their dinner menu yet, but all my friends tell me it’s classic German cuisine. I’ll have to try it sometime. Great staff and pastries. Highly recommend!!!‘ Oh, be careful going their… The speed limit changes from 70, to 55, to 45 right before them & the Kempner Cops love setting up a speed trap right before the Bakery!!!

Closest experience to Deutschland as I can get. Only thing keeping it from perfection is its modern-ish set up versus a dark wood German place. It’s great, though.

My wife and I stopped for lunch last Saturday afternoon The food is good we have had a sandwich and soup. The service was very bad. I got my food 5 minutes before my wife got hers. It took 30 minutes to get it to table. Good thing the soup was boiling HOT it melted the ice in my water glass so the waitress didn’t have refill it not that she was going to anyway. The décor it outdated and plain it needs to be updated. So of your in a hurry not the place for ya. But the food is really good so I give 3 stars

I’m thankful my in-laws took my husband and me here for dinner one night. It’s a cozy little diner with friendly servers and delicious food. Before the main food, we were served warm pretzel bread and butter. It was so good I almost filled up on it. I started off with the cucumber salad, which consisted of thin cucumber slices smothered in yogurt and dill, a mixture similar to dry tarator, the dish we ate in Bulgaria when I was growing up and still do. It was delicious. My entrée was the jagerschnitzel with spatzle and red cabbage. The jagerschnitzel was flavorful and unique. To be honest, the spatzle almost had no taste. The subtle pasta flavor saved it. The red cabbage was slightly spicy and crispy. The menu is flexible enough so if you want to make a substitution in a meal, you are able to make the switch without a problem. Two thumbs up. We’ll be back.

The Brick Oven is only a two minute drive from my house. They have awesome Schnitzel and the cucumber salad is devine! One of the MUST try items has to be the Bacon Cheeseburger! Hand formed, Fresh ground beef. Moist, and delicious. Crispy bacon and soft buns! Fantastic! The fries are amazing as well. A must try when you are coming down Hwy. 190!
