I have passed this place so many times and I really wish i would have stopped here sooner. I feel so lucky we have this place in our area. They have so much variety, so many things you can’t find anywhere else! They are a bakery, fabric store, deli, grocery store with lots of other things! The customer service is fabulous, the girls are polite and have an adorable dutch accent. They are also expert bakers. Their pastries are to die for, they are crispy yet melt in your mouth! *retrospectively drooling* I bought the leek and parmesan pastry and it was so delicious I downed it in like 2 seconds! The cappuccino muffin was very, veryy good but didn’t taste like coffee. For the grocery store section they have a huge selection of pickled goods… lots of unusual things too like quail eggs and pickled sausages ! They also have reasonably priced spices, figs, dates, soup mixes, cool jams and butters like gooseberry jam and sweet potatoe butter! They have fudge and cheeses in the deli some by yancey fancy(delicious brand) who make habanero and Wasabi cheese !! Everything is very reasonably priced. They have kitchenware items too like oven mitts to even Rada cutlery(very high end knives) and even make their own aprons ! You can pick out a fabric and they will make it for you !! I am so in love with this place. This is such a gem, as a bakery and a grocery store. I will definitely frequent this place as much as possible!

This place is established and been here for years. They have a good reputation and excellent baked products. But they have so much more, jams, tons of homemade spices, old fashioned-toys, donuts, sandwiches, good quality luncheon meat for sale. Don’t just run in and run out. Look around, they have beautiful sewing fabric suitable for quilts and cotton goods. I highly recommend them.

This is such a cool little store. The staff was very friendly. The strawberry rhubarb fried pie was soft, flaky, and delicious! We will definitely be going back for more! Also, try the Buffalo peanuts if you like sweet and spicy. They were a delicious surprise.

I have had the sandwiches there and they never disappoint. The sandwich round rolls are almost sweet in flavor. You taste the freshness of their meats right away. All of the other dry and packaged goods are delicious. Their trail mixes are exceptional. I have not had a chance to taste their pastries yet, but I would do so if I ever was around for breakfast. Their pies and muffins look gorgeous and are made fresh. You can see them being cooled on the racks in the back. If you happen to be in the area, it is worth stopping for lunch. It is unfortunate that they are closed Mondays. Other than that, there really is no problems with this place.

We were in the area on a road trip and found this roadside gem via Unilocal.Great fried pies, pretty good sandwiches, and a nice variety of dried goods and other edibles. Having been to Amish shops along the East Coast I was expecting a little more. I wouldn’t make this a destination drive, but I am glad I stopped in.

I’ve had their sandwiches and they’re the best in the world! Can hardly wait to go back sometime and get another one. I love their fried pies, especially the chocolate pudding ones and the cherry ones. The kolaches are also delish. I highly recommend their products. I wish we had a store like theirs here in Wheeler, Texas, especially the bulk foods.

Heritage Market & Bakery is A MUSTSTOP on our way from Dallas to Palestine ! The Pennsylvania Dutch Bakery serves up the Best Deli sandwiches you will EVER have! The bread is homemade… mmmmm you can smell the aroma of Bakery Goods from the parking lot! Grab a sandwich w/a bag of Cajun made ZAPS chips… Cracked Pepper & Sea Salt…& a bottle of Anthony’s Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer(Rootbeer) & let the MmmmmIng & AwwwwIng begin ! We can’t leave without half a dozen Sausage & Cheese and Ham & Cheese Kolache’s for breakfast the next morning… not all of ‘em make till the next morning… who am I foolin’??? For your Sweet Tooth…“Cat Head” Muffins of every flavor you can conjur up… Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bread is always my choice… big selection of homemade fried pies… apricot is my fav. There’s all kinds of homemade candy, packaged in little clear plastic tubs. I like the Chocolate covered banana chips & chocolate covered pecans. Soooo many spices that you can’t find anywhere else. The beautiful Amish Furniture is pretty pricey… but, always lures me over to browse before we leave. The Market is CLOSED Sunday & Monday. Open Tuesday through Saturday… they close @ 5: PM. There are no tables to sit & eat. It’s «Get It & Go». Sweetest people & wonderful customer Service!

I love this place! Heritage Market and Bakery is located on Highway 274, almost across the street from Kemp High School(from Dallas go out Highway 175 and take either one of the two Kemp exits(both Highway 274, the first exit is the business route), then turn south(right) onto 274 and look for the market on the right side. This market is Amish owned, and is operated by some very pleasant people. Things I love: the huge selection of spices and flour(not the spices you find in the supermarkets, but their own, sold in small plastic containers); the fresh baked breads(their potato rolls are super); their fresh butter; the Amish Butter Cheese(melt in your mouth good), and the sugar-free fried pies(blueberry, apple, cherry and peach). I have gone some dozen times, and I still find new delights(like the sugar-free fudge). Again, some of the products(butter, breads) are produced locally, while other products(meats, etc) are supplied by an Amish company located in Pennsylvania. There is also a good selection of sewing material(I do not sew or know anything about it, but I see a lot of women mingling around the bolts of cloth). Heritage Market is open Tuesday through Saturday(closed Sunday and Monday). They open at 7 in the morning(I am not sure when they close, but I believe 5 p.m.). If you are in the area of Kemp, be sure to stop by. Also look at the Amish furniture store right next door.
