Having never sailed before I was a bit nervous as the boat my wife and I chose a membership for was 41 feet in length. It is a beautiful, late model boat at a reasonable cost but I had to learn to safely sail it now that we’ve picked it out.
Evan gave me the ASA book to study and I arrived for the oral, written and practical tests a few days later in hopes of obtaining my ASA 101 certification.
The class was great. Evan is an outstanding teacher with a lot of experience but he does not come off like a know it all or superior in any way.
After the class we went out for two days of lessons in the boat and again, Evan did a great job at teaching me and putting me at ease.
I can not say enough about his personality and teaching style. I really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend Sail Ventures USA to anyone looking to join the sailing lifestyle.

Just finished a 4 hour sailboat ride. Capt Evan was a wonderful host. He was very knowledgeable of the area and an expert sailor. I would highly recommend this experience/​company! Oh, and we saw many dolphins!

This was just a perfect morning for my boyfriend & me! It was us & another nice couple. The weather was gorgeous. Captain Evan was a knowledgeable, accommodating, fun guide that really added to the overall experience. The boat was beautiful, intimate & well-​maintained. We are definitely planning on doing this again. I would recommend this experience to everyone!

I bought a coupon for a 2-​hour sailing cruise for 2 and could not have been happier. Capt Evan was a gracious, entertaining host who was so accommodating. He was willing to take our questions and take time explaining the physics and function of the boat to us, and also gave us time to sit and just enjoy the beauty of the bay. The boat was spotless and fully equipped.
I can’t say enough good things! It was an amazing experience, a beautiful boat, and a wonderful company.
