This is the second venture for Rosey and her son, Adrian, in Kemah. Unfortunately, the first venture was cut short by Hurricane Ike and the nutty landlord at Toucan Alley. Rosey and Adrian opened the Texas Store in Toucan Alley shortly before Hurricane Ike hit. The Texas Store was a cute Texas style Botique that had a little of everything. Then Hurricane Ike hit and before they could even get back to see the damage, the crazy landlord at Toucan Alley evicted them for interfering with her recovery efforts. All Adrian and Rosey asked was for the landlord to wait a day or so, before doing anything, so they could see the damage for themselves. Boom! Evicted!(Read my review on Toucan Alley for more info). Not giving up on Kemah, Adrian and Rosey have beat the odds and returned with their new venture, Kemah Glitz & Gifts. It is not as large as The Texas Store, but well worth a look for interesting women’s apparel and Texas novelty items. Good for them for not giving up!!! Rosey and Adrian are a delite to talk to and full of personality,… they make you feel like you are part of their family.
