Best customer service barbecue joint I’ve been to next to Shadyoaks. I have to say if you want a side of bread with your fall off the bone barbecue ribs Spring Creek barbecue is the place to come, and they always have a smile on their face when it comes to treating you to some good old Texas barbecue!

I joined a group of friends here for lunch. I choose the smoked turkey plate, green beans, and macaroni. It was okay, middle of the road BBQ. I did have a taste of my friends sausage and really wished I had gotten that instead. The hot rolls they walk around and offer were the best pasrt of the meal. I don’t think I will return anytime soon, there are so many other BBQ places to try out there.

Went to this location Thursday night and they had a sign on the door that they were out of chicken and ribs. Inexcusable.

My husband and I love this place, but we’re from NY&CT so what do we know about good BBQ, right? I’m sure true Texans will disagree with my review, but I happen to really love this place and think it’s one of the best in the Keller area. You can’t go wrong with the sliced brisket in my opinion. It’s always smoky and really flavorful and moist. I could bathe in the BBQ sauce they have, and those fresh rolls! Are you trying to make me 200 pounds Spring Creek?! I always say no to seconds from their basket girl that comes around pushing fresh rolls like crack, but my stomach wants to say yes. The green beans and mustard potato salad are my two go to’s for sides and who can beat lunch for $ 9.95 with a meat, as many sides you can put on your plate(ahem– always healthy ones for me I assure you), and bread.

Spring Creek consistently serves up some pretty decent BBQ. Between this location and others, I have tried all of their meats and most of their sides. Their brisket is fall-apart tender, the sausage is flavorful but not greasy, the chicken falls off the bone and their ribs are oh, so good. And the fresh, hot dinner rolls — a threat to blow any low carb diet. My only complaint yesterday was the restaurant was extremely hot. The thermostat adjacent to our table read 83 degrees — not comfortable at all.

Spring creak is definitely on not on my favorite list. All the meats taste the same no depth in flavor. The best part of this restaurant is eating the rolls.

Even with a bogo, this place is hard to take. Why? Everything except the rolls are less than room temp. C’mon. At least warm the brisket before you serve it. Cold brisket is not good eats. Closer to a 2 star than a 3 star.

Spring creek is one of my hubby’s favorite chain BBQ places and he normally eats at the one in Irving. After moving to Keller we gave this one a try. I seriously do not know why anyone eats here. My sides were good but I hated the meat. Dry dry dry. As I don’t care for the BBQ sauce I covered it in ketchup and still it was barely edible. My daughter also didn’t care for the meat. As for my husband, he agreed that this place was not good. And he would stick with his lunch joint and we would be on the look out for a better place.

I have only been here once and the place was filled with teenage workers who didn’t care about what was going on the customers plate. The food was very bland and the checkout got and attitude with me when I had to go get my wallet from the car. Stay away from the place.

We ordered Spring Creek pick up catering for our son’s baptism, the food was great for our group, very reasonably priced! The girl forgot our rolls but the manager drove them out to our house so everything went off perfectly! The only cons with their pick up catering– no serving utensils with the set. We’ve catered from other places before and the set up was much more extensive, burners, stands, etc.

Nice size restaurant with a dine in or to go. Modern pretty clean restaurant. Clean the front door handles, lol! I had the ribs dinner with baked beans, mac and cheese. I went back for seconds on the sides, grabbed the homemade coleslaw.(Yes they allow all u want sides) The ribs were smoked perfectly, pink in the inside to a dark red outside. Now I am not a rib officiate but I believe they were pork ribs. Great tasting not much meat and hollow bones that were easy to chew through. They have some TV’s in the corner of the floor. They serve desserts like jello and pecan pie. I had no room for desert. Overall the staff was smiling and friendly. Would recommend for a casual night out for reasonably priced BBQ.

Sorry, the take-out process is broke. I wandered into SCBBQ on an early Sunday evening expecting to place an order to take home to the family. I ordered two rib plates and a small kids meal. There was only one other patron in front of me when I arrived to the separate take-out counter. I was speaking to an employee within 3 minutes of arriving– so far so good. I placed my order, which was jotted down and walked over to the kitchen area. Then it got busy. Close to 7 – 9 new customers walked up to the counter and was either ordering or declaring their arrival for a phone-in order. This is where the process became extremely fractured. As food orders came in, ready to be rung up and handed over to the customers, they generally sat in no order behind the counter area. Folk who arrived 15 minutes after me were getting their food ahead of me, it was confusing. I waited 45 minutes to get my food, that was cold. I had asked for dinner rolls but those had to be picked up on the other side of the restaurant(separate station) and they weren’t ready when I was walking out the door(another 5 minute wait to pack 3 rolls that were already baked). Oh, and I paid $ 40 for those 2 meals plus the kids meal. The food was just OK, definitely not worth what I went through to get it. Like I said, the food was cold when I got it home– we had to warm it up before serving. This made the meat a little tougher. It felt like leftovers. The portions were plentiful, and the BBQ sauce was pretty good– more sweet than spicy. I would suggest that management reevaluate the take-out process. I understand things get busy but I could have stepped in and made things run more smoothly after a 10-minute huddle with staff and a few tweaks to the overall experience.

Just what I was looking for while I was in Texas. Atmosphere was spot on and the food was great. Got the moist brisket platter. Loved the BBQ sauce. Mac n cheese was delish. Of course they served platter w Texas toast. Yummy. Plenty of seating — indoor and outdoor(if you like Texas Mosquitos).

Mediocracy at its finest. Dry brisket, dry chicken. New Carolina style pulled pork was ok. But not a fan I the sauce they coat it in. Rather just had their normal BBQ sauce. Kind I pricey for so so BBQ. Dickies is probably just as good if not better. To end on a higher note: Kids liked the macaroni and cheese

Its not that expensive but the food is so just okay, if you know what I mean. I’ve been here twice. The first time was in January for my boyfriend’s birthday. He had ribs which were cold/luke warm and over cooked. Not good. I had chicken which wasn’t over or under, but it wasn’t hot at all. The sides were okay. I got cole-slaw and mac & cheese. The second time we both got chicken(went yesterday). Once again, our meat wasn’t even hot or warm. The sides were also just barely warm. And we went at dinner time, so its not like they were sitting out all day. Very disappointed. Don’t visit this place if you are looking for real BBQ. Only good thing is their bread. But, I don’t pay 10+ bucks for bread.

We stopped here at about 6:00 on a Friday evening. We were excited to try the ribs. Fortunately the ribs were good, not excellent, but nice and tender. The unfortunate thing was that I really wanted a baked potato — they were out! So, I tried the beans — ok at best, potato salad was ok too. The roll was delicious. We will definitely try it again, but will come earlier so I can try the baked potato.

Usually very good! But my daughter had a dried out — old chopped beef sandwich. The veggies were room temperature at best. Never saw the hot roll girl until we are packing up too leave. Very disappointed to say the least.

Well we were heading home from Granbury, hungry, and unsure what we wanted to eat. We actually spent about half the drive home trying to figure out this dilemma. Around Benbrook we came to the mutual decision of BBQ, and now we just had to figure out where. We chose Spring Creek Barbeque because of location. It was on our path home and we planned to do some takeout. Perfect. We pretty much knew we we going to do ribs and some corn on the cob. We could have done dinners, and scored some extra sides and rolls, but we determined doing ribs by the pound($ 12.95) was a better deal than two dinners. We added corn for about a buck an ear(or rather half ear) and a couple rolls at 25 cents each. We were also offered a complimentary soft drink for our wait. Nice touch. Total was around $ 23. If you’e been to a Spring Creek, you know the rolls are where it’s at. They are fresh baked continuously and servers carry baskets through the dining room, offering up fresh hot rolls to the dine in patrons. They smell so good. As we waited for our food, I wandered around a bit. What I noticed is that the staff here is very attentive. Both Thuy and I were asked several times if we needed help. If this is a reflection of the dine in service, it’s impressive. Oh, I should point out if you are dining in, you go through a line to build your plates. At the end of the line is the cash register. There is not waiter service. The food came up quickly and off we went to enjoy our food at home. I was not overly impressed with the ribs. They had a decent smoke to them, but most seemed like they could have been cooked longer. They were most definitely not fall off the bone tender. The sauce, which was served on the side in a cup, was a little sweet and a little on the thin side for my taste. I should have asked if they had more than one type of sauce, as something a bit spicier would have been better. All in all we were OK with our meal. It satisfied a need and did not disappoint, however the food did not wow us either. Bottom line: Prince H. summed it up best, «Great rolls ok food.»

I’m by no means a Barbeque connoisseur, so please take my review with a grain of salt. Wifey and I were at a party that had Spring Creek catered. We sampled the following: Sliced beef Sausage Mac & Cheese Beans The sliced beef was pretty tasty, and had a damn good flavor. The sausage was surprisingly really good too. I took a looksie at the menu, and it seems as though two could eat here, sans alcohol, for about $ 20. The next time I crave Barbeque, Spring Creek is on my list.
