I was driving around old town Keller the other day and remembered reading a review for a cupcake place somewhere there. I didn’t remember the name of the place or where it was located, but Old Town Keller isn’t that big so I drove around until I saw the word«Cupcake’. Driving down Olive Street, I saw this place and bingo! Upon entering, I wondered if it was open as it appeared to be a mostly empty house. But when I looked left into another room, I saw the case with the cupcakes. There were about half a dozen or so different flavors(the nice woman working in the shop said they had sold out of a couple of the flavors). I bought a Rocky Road(nuts, chocolate chips, marshmallows) and a Peanut Butter cup to take home for dessert. Then I thought perhaps I should sample one before subjecting the Hubs to ‘the unknown’. So I bought an Andes Mint(chocolate cake with mint frosting) and scarfed it down on the spot. The nice lady even offered me a glass of ice water. So how were they? Very yummy. Very moist cake. The right amount of buttercream frosting(not too much, not too little). And for $ 2 each, I thought they were a deal. Will I buy cupcakes from them again? You betcha! BTW — I’m not sure what the exact name of this place is. On the outside of the house it’s located in I think it says ‘Cupcakes to Go’, yet when I check online it seems to be listed under ‘Occasional Creations’. And the business card I picked up states it the way I listed it in the business name field(Cupcakes to Go by Occasional Creations). Anyway, the woman who owns the business also does cookies and full sized cakes to order. According to their web site, the hours are Tues-Fri 10 – 2:30(or by appt).
