I’m dealing with a plumbing emergency this morning. In trying to get a plumber to the house as quickly as possible I called All Tarrant Plumbing. I already had an appointment elsewhere with an 8 – 12 window but I hate those 4-​hour appointment windows that accommodate the contractor, and today’s business obligations don’t allow me the luxury of waiting all morning for someone to arrive.
The lady who answered said she would «check the board» and see if somebody could be here before 10:00, and that she would would call back to let me know. After 20 minutes I hadn’t heard back so I called another plumber who comes highly recommended and is on their way.
Wouldn’t you know it — about 5 minutes after scheduling my friend’s plumber, the nice lady from All Tarrant called me back and said she could have somebody here in an hour. I felt bad telling her that I had made other arrangements, and I could tell she was disappointed as they had rearranged their schedule to accommodate me. Had I known she was going to all that trouble I would have given her more time.
In an emergency situation, the trade that comes highly recommended and can get here the quickest generally wins. That said, I truly appreciate what All Tarrant tried to do for me, and I will call them next time I have an issue. Although they didn’t service my plumbing, I’m willing to bet that Doris’ willingness to go the extra mile for me is probably indicative of a company that truly cares.
