I really want to tell you how great their taco salad is… but they seem to be consistently understaffed. I love their baked tortilla that comprises the taco salad. It is fresh, not oily and crunchy. For the cost it is a steal and huge on the portion size, for me. Their pork is way better than Chipotle pork! It’s a shame they continue to understaff. I truly debated canning and complaining the last time. Then simply decided not to come back. Well, it’s 1:30pm on a Wednesday and there is only 1 employee. Management truly needs to step it up. This poor girl working has 9 of us in a line waiting. I’ll rethink my next return.

What I thought was a nice high quality fish taco, appeared to be nothing more than a single small rectangular fish stick, the kind that looks like they come in a giant frozen bag. It was very unappealing to see, so it kind of ruined it for me, even though the last time, BEFORE I saw it made, it seemed to taste good enough, in all fairness. In addition, many of the«fresh ingredients» were all«gelled over» on the top: the black beans, the liquid cheese, etc. It was also a turn off, and made my anticipation of the food even less eager. We paid $ 2.50 for the chips, «queso», and drink. Wow was I disappointed! The queso was SO small it was ridiculous. But the worst part was: this was just regular movie theater nacho cheese type of cheese. It was yellow, and looked like it probably came in a big can. Why not real white queso? You know, like EVERYBODY else who serves it? Especially at that high price! On the good side: the employees were friendly enough, and I felt the service was good. most of the menu items look like they’d be pretty good, at least when compared to fast food alternatives. The décor and atmosphere inside the restaurant is a bit more fun and festive than most.

I really like this place and whenever I am in Keizer Station and I want Mexican this is usually where I go to get my Burrito fix. It’s just a nice little place, little table with a straw hut umbrella is kind of fun, but I have to tell you that the service is a little bit hit and miss, sometimes they are friendly and then other times they are cold fish and speaking of cold if it is a cold day outside the door is kind of weird so it keeps sticking open and you get blown away by the breeze and have to keep getting up to close it.

It’s been awhile since I was in here last. The service was fine. The food was ok. Nothing special imo. A bit on the expensive side I thought. I think this store might be hurt with a Chipotle opening right across the street.

Good service, terrible food! OMG someone forgot to tell the cooks to SEASON anything! Blandest food I’ve ever eaten. I will not be returning here ever again. Taco Bell has more flavor than this place. =\

The most disappointing meal. I first ate at the original TDM on Hawthorne Ave in Portland. It was so good! Tonite’s meal was proof that once a business gets big, the quality goes down. The Mondo Burritos we got were cold, and the ratio of meat to everything else was ridiculous-practically no meat. We ordered chips and queso for 2.99…The tablespoon of «queso» was canned cheese sauce and the store-bought chips were stale… all that for 2.99! What a rip-off! We’ll never go back.

I wanted to try something new today, because McDonalds pissed me off one too many times. the food was good, and very fresh. service was good as well. I had a new guy but he did a great job. They give you a lot of food for the value too. I will probably be back.

The décor is cute and the staff is usually nice but I don’t like their food… I’ve been there a few times because other people wanted to go and I’ve ordered multiple menu items but nothing was ever good. The shredded chicken tastes how wet cat food smells… Gross.

Some of the best fast food type Mexican food you can get. Enjoyed the Mondo Carnitas burrito.

Amazing, and high quality food. The service was fast and very friendly workers. Especially a worker named Joey. That guy was personable, fast and knew his menu. I suggest this restaurant strongly.

My second visit to a Taco Del Mar(the first a few months ago in Kapolei, Hawaii) was consistent with the first although I think the carne asada Mondo Burrito wasn’t very good only in comparison with other carne asada burritos I’ve had lately in Oregon. So three stars for decent fast food and one star for being consistent. The store is clean and in a good location in Keizer. Very convenient as I had just finished shopping at other stores in this mini mall. Lots and lots of free parking!

Ok, for fast food Mexican, they by far have the best burritos. I LOVE the mondo burrito, and pretty much order it every time I stop at a Taco Del Mar. This one in Keiser is great. My burritos are made to my liking and always fresh and warm to eat. I’ve been here during slow times and fast times, and have never been disappointed. I hate to see a couple of the reviews posting of negative interactions here, as I have never seen this nor have had it happen to me.

MAJORSUCKAGE. AVOIDATALLCOSTS. My wife and I visited here and she was treated horribly. They were pretty nice to me overall, but I did feel a bit rushed. The place is really loud and I had made it all the way to the register when my wife rushed past me and said she’d be outside. With all of the noise and echoing here, I was unaware of what actually transpired between her and the workers at the other end of the line. Since my food was already prepared and ready to go, I went ahead and paid for it. When I went outside, my wife explained to me what had happened. They had treated her very rudely, with condescending tones of voice and generally just treated her like dirt. I wish I had been aware of this or I would have refused to purchase my meal and left. She was so mad she didn’t stop to tell me what was going on. Anyway, how does a store stay in business that is rude and demanding of new customers? My wife was a new customer, but I had been to another Taco Del Mar location before, so I had a pretty good idea of what to get. She did not have that luxury. Especially since she was yelled at for not making snap decisions and wanting to better understand what she was getting. What’s worse, the manager was standing right there watching it all happen and did nothing. We are contacting the main Taco Del Mar to complain. Quite honestly, I don’t understand John D’s review — yes, the food is great, but the rating should be based on the overall experience. Sadly for Taco Del Mar, I stand by my wife and her horrible experience here and I will not ever darken the door of ANY Taco Del Mar. If the company allows this sort of behavior and does nothing to stop it, why would I want to visit any of their locations? I’ll go somewhere I know I’ll be treated like a welcomed customer. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this restaurant. They don’t deserve your business and those in charge allowing such behavior are very deserving of losing their jobs.

This was my first visit to this place and also my LAST! If I could give them negative stars for the service and treatment I received, I would!!! Hubby and I stopped in at about 7:15PM on Monday night. There were a few people there but the place was not really busy. There was another couple in line behind us. As we were trying to figure out what to order/compare prices, we kept getting asked in a rude tone of voice«AREYOUREADYTOORDERYET?» I had never been to this place before and I wanted to have a few minutes to decide what to get but apparently this is not allowed! My husband picked what he wanted and was ushered down the line by an actual NICE girl. Next was me… the short brown/black haired teenage girl I got was absolutely horrific! I was trying to decide if I wanted to get one taco with the burrito or the two tacos and share it with my husband and she was obviously irritated. She kept shouting out to me «WHATKINDOFTORTILLADOYOUWANT?!» I was trying to ask her what comes on the tacos and she just kept yelling at me over and over about the damn tortilla! I finally picked flour and she grabs the flour tortilla out of the bag and slaps it down on the counter and starts barking more orders at me. So, after the tortilla is picked, she still refuses to answer me about the taco. I tried to ask her again but she then YELLS at me «Do you want sour cream and guacamole ON your burrito for $ 1 more?» I said does it come with it with the special I want to get? She says«NO! ONLYONTHETACO! DOYOUWANTITFOR $ 1ORNOTONTHEBURRITO?!» with glaring eyes, of course, as she’s loudly tapping the spoons in the guacamole and sour cream pans. What’s even worse is the manager was standing RIGHT next to her and said nothing! The manager also glared at me! By this time I was mortified and embarrassed and almost in tears because of how they treated me. Again she asked me «WOULDYOUHURRYUPANDDECIDE? DOYOUWANTTHEGUACAMOLEANDSOURCREAMFOR $ 1?» I told her… «Excuse me… now you have me ALL confused and I need to take a step back and think about what I want to order.» She yells at me «SO you DON’T WANTTHEBURRITO?!» I said No… and stepped back so the couple in back of me could order. Well, if looks could kill I would have died right there by how the manager and her«employee» were glaring at me as I was standing back mulling all of this over. I told my husband(who had already been served and was at the other end of the line) «I am not eating here, I AM leaving!» And I walked out and sat out side and waited for my husband to tell him what happened. He said had he heard or known that, he also would have stopped his order and left, but the girl that helped him was actually nice.(Amazing.) Apparently the couple in line behind me that witnessed all of this must have got similar treatment or did not like how I was treated because not soon after they also walked out, grumbling!!! I should have asked them what happened but I was still upset and fuming. I don’t care HOW good the food is here, it is NOT worth the crappy service. Someone needs to go in and re-train all of these people that had the stick up their butt! Fortunately Panda Express was close by so I went there and gave them my money instead. I received excellent service and finally got to eat dinner. :)

I went here(before the gym — woops) and I didn’t expect it to be the way it was. One of my girlfriend just raves on it. And turns out it IS delicious! Awesome! I love all the variety! I love the airy-surfer vibe theme! Great friendly young customer service. Great taste to their food :) Nice for a lunch! Their burritos can get massive I would never be able to eat the biggest one! Too much goodness.

ANOTHER cafeteria Mexican type restaurant. Pick your food holder: corn, flour, hard soft; now pick your meat, then your sauce, then your toppings, and then pay for it. No matter what you order, you end up with luke warm slop in the tortilla of your choice. It’s like liquid, seriously. I don’t understand this style of food ordering – it just makes me uncomfortable.
