My husband and I stopped in here the other day while our car was getting a new windshield down the street at Safelite. It was the closest breakfast spot within walking distance, so we weren’t sure what to expect. We were happily surprised by the cutest little bistro, with bird décor and a homey feel. They even have a fireplace with couches to enjoy your coffee on! We both got the birdie’s breakfast and it was delicious! I will warn you the house coffee is a little strong.
If you’re looking for a quaint breakfast location, with excellent customer service and delicious food — stop here! :)

This was the perfect place for an afternoon lunch in the sun! We came with our dog and sat on the patio. Everything was wonderful! There was so much to choose from. The biscuits and gravy were so good, they even toasted the biscuits! And the club sandwich was so yummy! What was even better was the service. They were so sweet and helpful. I would gladly come back here again and again! This is a gem in Salem.

Great place! My boyfriend rolled his eyes when I said“bistro”, but when they brought him his biscuits and gravy he was amazed. Great portion size and delicious food. My breakfast wrap was huge. Definitely recommend this place!

I reviewed this place over a year ago with 5 stars. I loved it! It was by go-​to coffee shop for yummy drinks and delicious sweets. However, since the fairly recent owner change, it’s just not quite the same. My orders keep getting messed up and the sweet treats just don’t seem to be as good. I’m hoping that those were just off days and that next time I stop in it’ll be as good as I remember it.

Good food, good coffee, but their hours are odd. I could see them as a perfect place for college students to studying, but by the time I am out of school they’re usually closed :(It’s hard for college students to find a nice, cozy, quiet place to study. Would like to see them change their hours.

I love Birdie’s! Haven’t been here in 2 years… finally had the chance to stop by and it’s just as delicious as I remember! I got the That’s A Wrap and it was to DIE for! Pepper jack cheese and chipotle ranch give it a nice spicy pop of flavor. Sooooo good!

When we visit from out of town ee always look forward to Birdies. I’ve had both their breakfast and lunch options. All have been very good. The breakfast wrap is SO good. We’d much rather eat here then at a chain restaurant!
Don’t expect fast food. It can take a little time for the food, especially if they are busy.

Here now, enjoying a delicious veggie breakfast wrap. The people here are amazing. We happened to come in when the card reader was down, and we didn’t have enough cash on us. One of the women (I’m assuming the owner) offered to buy our breakfast! Our breakfast wraps took a little while to come out, but the guy who brought them immediately apologized and explained that the fresh ingredients are double cooked (both out of, and then inside of the wrap). It’s delicious, and the wait out on the patio was lovely. Highly satisfying.

Quiet, quant spot for lunch. I’ve tried the biscuit and gravy, was not impressed (didn’t like the biscuits). I love their club (i think) on seeded bread. Soup is a hit or a miss, depends on the soup base. Customer service at times is lacking, staff wanting to leave early but having to stay because we walked in 30 min to closing. I don’t like having to ask for a pop refill, the machine should be accessible to customers since we have to get up and ask anyways. It’s a weird mix between them serving/​we do our own water/​bussing the table/​etc. 4 stars for food! 3 stars for customer service. Should be open later, at least till 4pm.

HOT DAMN this place is great!
This restaurant prioritizes quality and they have the most amazing and friendly staff. I hold conversations with them sometimes and they are so welcoming. This place is cozy and feels like home. If you want mama’s loving recipes, go here and you won’t regret it :)
