Awesome food, great live music, wonderful waitstaff — looks like a lot of the initial waitstaff problems have resolved. Can’t say enough about how good the food is!

Not the best Indian I’ve had, but the buffet was pretty decent with a variety of vegetarian options. I don’t think I’d come from a distance, but it was a solid selection when in Keene.

If I could leave a zero I would. This is my second time giving this restaurant a try. I wanted it to be good and thrive in Keene, we could use another good choice. On a Friday night they had their phone off the hook. According to management this is because they do no want to do take out orders when they are«busy»(read: open). So we came in and ordered at the bar, as the only customer sitting there. One and a half hours later… No food. I understated wanting to only provide the quality of food that you feel represents your restaurant but this is absolutely ridiculous. They were not slammed, there was no wait. This is inexcusable in my opinion. I don’t know anyone that would care to spend $ 70+ dollars on dinner and wait an hour and a half when the restaurant isn’t overly busy. I look forward to the owners/restaurant that follow this atrocity and succeed in this space.

Decent indian restaurant. Veg samosa & chicken pakora was good in appetizers. For main course we ordered chicken tikka masala which was decent but tandoori shrimp was not upto the mark and lamb roganjosh was horrible. The meat in lamb roganjosh was very hard and not cooked properly. The service was decent though. Mango custurd and chocolate moose was pretty good. Overall a decent experience but not something i would crave to come back again

Finally a good Indian restaurant in keene. Had lunch buffet yesterday and it was wonderful. Sweet lassi lovely and not too sweet. Dessert was disappointing. Rice pudding had a strange iodine taste and the gulab was too sweet and thickly sticky. Otherwise this was a welcome place. Nice ambiance, good service and most dishes are excellent. A little pricey for lunch, but worth it.

Pleasantly surprised to find nice Indian food in this area, as it’s often a craving of mine(I’m from South East Asia). The chicken tikka masala I had was pretty delicious, I ate it all up forgetting to save enough for leftovers. You can read my review of the place here: :) Enjoy!

This was my first time dining at Space Chambers and was not disappointed. We enjoyed the Lamb Boti Masala; Palak Paneer, Aloo Gobhi and the Cilantro/Garlic Naan. Everything was delicious and the service was very good. Glad to have this addition to the Keene dining spots.

I’ve eaten there three times now — one buffet, one fancy dinner and one take out over the space of 3 months or so. The feel is casual but classy, nice décor. The service is generally good — and improving(noticeable change from when they opened to now, although at times the staff do seem slightly overwhelmed) but the FOOD is really great. Equal in quality, authenticity and creativity to Indian food in much larger cities. Overall good but the food brings it up to a solid GREAT.

I just posted a message so this may repeat that. Lunch buffet fresh, well cooked, excellent. Service friendly and expert. Great ambiance. A terrific find in Kerne!

Third time we’ve eaten at Spice Chambers. The first time was one week after it opened so we were happy to overlook the kinks. The food is very good. Very typical Indian cuisine, but the service still needs a lot of work if this restaurant is to survive. The staff seem very nice, but clearly needs training. Please, please, please get the staff trained. Settings on every table at all times. Drink orders taken right away. Keep the water full. Check in on tables a few times to make sure everyone has what they need. Staff shouldn’t gather around the cash register chatting while the restaurant is serving. Don’t start setting up the lunch buffet while customers are finishing their dinners; that’s side work for tomorrow’s lunch crew. Finish decorating inside. Take down the random wires over the bar and other remnants of your failed predecessor. The sign out front should be lit up at night. You paid good money for that sign, make sure people can see it. The owners seem really nice, the food is good and Keene needs more restaurant choices. Sorry to be harsh, but we really want this restaurant to make it.

The food was very good. The wait staff was excellent but there were not enough for a busy Thursday night. The prices seem A Little high but since they are the only Indian food in the area we decided to give it a try. We were pleased with our meal and had leftovers to take home. We would certainly go back again.

Wow. First rate Indian food in Keene? Yes. Emphatically yes. Our dinner tonight was perfectly moist chicken tikka platter and a smooth, rich vegetable korma. Busy but not crowded, our server was attentive and helpful. Family friendly and full of young kids but not at all noisy. A great addition to the region and a new favorite!

Great choice for catering! Spice Chamber’s was a huge hit at our wedding. Not only was the food delicious, but it was plentiful and beautifully presented(we did buffet style). I would highly recommend catering from them. The owner Madan was a charm to work with. He helped us create the perfect menu for our big day. The servers were thoughtful and upbeat too, a great combination for an event that can often bring the worst and best out of people. I’m also a big fan of the restaurant. It’s my new favorite spot to eat when visiting my hometown in NH. I’ve eaten here three times and ordered takeout twice — every experience has been excellent. As a current New Yorker, Spice Chambers’ food is on par with NYC Indian restaurants, and has the added bonus of a spacious layout and lovely ambiance.

Keene’s new Indian restaurant — it opened early in the summer — offers a buffet for lunch and a la carte menu for dinner. We’ve sampled the all-you-can-eat buffet five times so far(hint: we like it). It has been priced at $ 10 but was recently raised to $ 14, which may have an impact on cost-conscious Keeners. Nevertheless, we do enjoy the buffet choices and the quality of the offerings. The curries are warm but not too hot(in spiciness, that is) which works out nicely for our favorites, Chicken Masala and the Lamb Vindaloo. We also really like the flavorful, tender Goat Curry, although it isn’t regularly featured at the buffet. There’s a generous selection of 4 – 5 vegetables and we are particularly fond of the curried cauliflower. The naan is freshly made here, and we usually supplement our buffet with an order of papadum. For dessert, we go for the rice pudding and the Kheer cardamon saffron polenta, both of which are delicious. The restaurant also is licensed and offers beer, wine and drinks, though honestly we’ve seen few people ordering from the bar at the buffet. It’s an attractive restaurant, just off Central Square, with comfortable seating and a friendly staff, most of whom initially weren’t Indian. Anyhow, good to have this establishment nearby; we look forward to dinner and perhaps an update to our comments.

Just discovered that we now have Indian food in Keene! A most welcome addition to the available options. So, had to give it a try along with my daughter(her first time having Indian food). The space was nice, clean and tastefully decorated(although not especially«Indian»). They now have a liquor license and what appears to be a full bar. The service was polite and attentive and the food came promptly. As to the food… we ordered vegetable samosas and papadum to start. The papadum was as good as any I’ve had(kind of hard to get wrong) and the samosas were fine… well spiced, but not overly. As for condiments, they offered a tasty sauce(they called a chutney) that was similar to the brown tamarind sauce I am accustomed to, but they did not have the green chili sauce or chopped red pepper relish that I would normally expect to see. For entrees, we went with Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Vindaloo(medium spicy). The Chicken Tikka Masala was very creamy and had a good almond flavor. Not one of my «go to» Indian dishes, so I don’t have many comparison points, but I liked it. The Vindaloo was not too spicy(just right for me), generally flavorful and what I was expecting. The sauce did have more of a clear tomato flavor that I have experienced at other restaurants, Not unpleasant, just not what I am used to. Finally, the Poori was hot and puffy as you would expect, but a little bland… maybe some more salt? The one critique I would make, however, is that the food was a little on the pricey side for Keene standards(they are right at the boundary between«Moderate» and«Spendy»). I would go back all the time if the price point was a little lower. As it stands now, this would be a treat every couple months or so. The lunch buffet may be an entirely different experience… I am only referring to the a la carte dinner service. On the whole, it is GREAT to have real Indian food in Keene. The«ethnic» choices are somewhat limited, so this is a welcome addition. I will certainly go back and would have no problem taking an out of town visitor with Indian food experience.

Excellent lunch buffet! Admittedly I have not tried anything else yet, but it is rare that there is such a variety of excellent food for vegetarians and vegans.

Simply awesome! The best Indian food I’ve had in NH, MA or NY. I went with my family and we all ordered different dishes. Every one was perfect. Naan was unbelievable. Flavors were fresh and exciting, balanced with heat that did not loose the subtleties of the different spices. Rice had green cardamom seeds and clove on top. Fresh… complex… awesome. Can’t wait to go back!

This is more of a 2.5 stars rating. I ordered pick up. I arrive to pick it up and everyone is running around without acknowledging me. I understand when its busy and I cannot be helped right away, but someone saying they see me and it’ll be a few minutes would have been nice. Anyway, I finally get noticed and I’m told the food is not yet ready. Its about 15 minutes past the time I was told it would be ready. A few more minutes and I receive my food and go home. The food was okay. Both mine and my partners meals were VERY oily. Also we received very little rice to go with the 2 meals. I would say I did not receive the quality or quantity for the price that was paid. The spices used were decent, but it wasn’t anything to brag about. I can get much better Indian food elsewhere, even though I have to travel for it. Definitely try it and form your own opinion. I however am okay not returning there.

Great new restaurant in Keene! We walked in on their first day open — they are doing a buffet for the first few weeks so guests can sample different dishes. Food and service were both great!
