Not sure what has happened here, but there has been a definite decline over the years. Tonight I received a smelly glass for my beer while waiting at the bar to be seated. Once we were seated, I found that the homemade bread had been replaced by store bought bread. The coleslaw was either spoiled or some of the worst I had ever tried, one fork full was all it took. The house tarter sauce had very little relish in it. It tasted like a combination of mayo and sour cream. Very bland. The fish was good but I was disappointed in the rest.

Only 3 stars for this place really does amaze me! Maybe it could be because people didn’t plan ahead. This was my 1st time there and we had a large group so I called a couple weeks in advance to make a reservation. I am so glad I did!!! Wholly WOW does that place get packed!!! My suggestion is if you don’t have a group large enough to make a reservation, get there when they open… period! The bartenders were nice, fun and professional. The waitress was very attentive and nice. Salad bar is great. The best thing(if you love fish), the stuffed haddock was the biggest piece of haddock I’ve ever had and it was wonderful! I highly recommend this place! I will go back again and will know to be there early(there were also several others there waiting until they opened).

Went Friday night for fish. We were told 45 minute wait and it ended up being an hour and thirty five minute wait. We had to start asking hostess at the hour mark when we were going to have a waitress take our order. So after we sat for over an hour and a half our non pleasent waitress took our order. Horrible customer service on busy night. I understand it being busy but when the waitress informs you that the hostess bumped your table 3 times… come on man! Service BAD! Gave it two stars instead of 0 because the perch was good.

1st time at Out-O-Town Club after having it recommended several times a year for a few years… The night we chose to go to the Out-O-Town was the same night a 40+ member Corvette Club had reservations there. But our name was in before the Club members arrived and we were seated in the dining room within 40 minutes of arrival(and we arrived at 4:40pm…) Great cocktails, varied menu with good hearty food(and a nice salad bar) all at a reasonable price. I know why others recommended this place — will return soon!

This is the quintessential Wisconsin supper club: With a salad bar that includes all the staples, including pickled gizzards(which I passed on). A cocktail is $ 3.50, and they knew that my uncle’s brandy alexander is served Wisconsin style sweet and with two olives. Uncle had the petite tenderloin at $ 14.95, I the rib eye at $ 15.95 and KM the BBQ ribs at $ 13.95. Rib eye was a bit fatty and chewy, not what you’d get in a steakhouse at triple the price — but we had enough leftovers for two boxes, another expected value of the roadside supper club. My only mistake was ordering a glass of wine — they have a half-dozen selections, all of them sweet and obscure. Mogan David was a possibility. Merlot or a Cav was not. Bill was $ 65 for three. Place was packed even on a Sunday night but this family-run restaurant moved service right along, bringing menus to us in the bar and then taking our order in the bar, before leading us to our table, where service followed quickly. If you want a real supper club experience, this is the place.

I don’t understand the positive reviews here. Hands down, the WORST food I have ever eaten. Stuffed shrimp were pre made frozen garbage, the filet was fatty, greasy, and tough. The water is seriously undrinkable and tastes like sulfur. You can seriously smell it when they put the glasses on the table.(Which is about 15 minutes into your meal and after you’ve asked for it twice) The perch was no better and the veal is terrible and served with a heaping bowl of nacho cheese??? I wish I would have taken photos, because had I not seen it with my own eyes I would have a hard time believing it.

I honestly dont get the negative reviews here. Ive eaten there about five times now and each time it was great. The scallops and ribs were my personal favorites.

Classic Wisconsin supper club with one of the best Friday fish fries I’ve ever had. They make a great old fashioned all at reasonable prices. Tons of atmosphere for a relaxing evening out.

I have been hearing about the great service and fantastic foot at the Out-O-Town Club for a couple of years now. So I decided this would be the place to have my birthday dinner with a large group of friends. After driving past this establishment(and hearing from friends) this place is packed from open to close, so I was expecting a lengthy wait. We had a group of 10, and only waited 45 minutes. While waiting, I order an Old Fashioned, which seemed to be the«house cocktail». They nailed it… and very inexpensive bar prices.(There isn’t such a thing as a weak pour here) In typical supper club fashion, we placed our order with our waitresses, while sitting in the bar.(I don’t know why, but I really like that way of order taking.) A few minutes later, we were given our table number, moved into the dining room and went to the salad bar. Everything on the salad bar was full, and fresh. There were several choices in dressing. The bar was rather small, but still had the essentials for a hearty dinner salad. At the end of the bar, was a large bowl of crackers. I think this was supposed to be a mix of bread sticks AND crackers, but the breadsticks were nowhere to be found. There was a loaf of bread on the table, but it appeared to be right out of the bag, bread. It was nothing fancy, and really not all that appealing. I ordered the 8oz tenderloin and broiled Haddock with a twice baked potato. The Haddock was done perfectly. It practically melts in your mouth. The steak and twice baked potato, on the other hand, didn’t come close to the expectations that other(and myself) had set. Many of my friends and co-workers just raved about The Out-O-Town Club, saying that they have the best steaks in the area. When the steak was brought to my table, it was cooked the way I prefer(medium) but it wasn’t hot. Not even warm. It seemed as though it had been sitting in the kitchen, maybe under a mild heat lamp, for an extended period of time. It also was quite dry. There was very little flavor and the meat was tough. The twice baked potato was the same. It was brought out in a tin foil«pot pie pan» and appeared(and tasted) as if it was prepackaged or store bought. Due to the size of our party, we had two waitresses. One was cheerful, enthusiastic, fun and made sure everything was to our liking. The other, seemed more concerned with how long we were going to be there, and how quickly she could get the checks out to everyone. It seemed as one reviewer was spot on by saying, «The Out-O-Town Club is a fantastic joint for the „good ol’ crowd,“ i.e. if you’ve been living in Kaukauna or Wrightstown for the majority of your life.» For anyone else visiting or living in the Fox Valley, expect mediocre dinner and average service. Sorry to say, I don’t think I will be making another visit to The Out-O-Town Club anytime soon.

So, here’s the thing you need to know about the Out-O-Town: It’s a supper club. With a great fish Friday night fish fry. I would recommend this place to anyone, but especially visitors from other parts of the U.S. who would like to experience an authentic Wisconsin tradition… but follow these rules: Don’t come here and order something like a cosmo at the bar, or some weird item off the menu. Come on Friday, and expect to sit at the bar for at least an hour prior to getting a table. The bartenders are great. Order several Old Fashioneds while you wait — that’s what everyone else is drinking. They make them strong, and they’re cheap. Seriously, I got 4 drinks for about $ 10 bucks last time I came here. When the time comes, I recommend ordering the blue gill or perch fish fry. Get the fries. Get the salad bar, and fill your salad plate up with lettuce and cottage cheese and whatever the heck else is on there. Your food will come quickly, and you will enjoy your fish fry and the enormous pot of coleslaw. Love the Out-O-Town for what it is: The quintessential Up North Fish Fry experience.

The Out-O-Town Club is a fantastic joint for the«good ol’ crowd,» i.e. if you’ve been living in Kaukauna or Wrightstown for the majority of your life. The food isn’t bad, but it’s not necessarily great either. I’ve had steaks from here a few times and they’re decent, but nothing to write home about. The scallops I’ve had from here have occassionally come out raw. The place is usually packed and the drinks are OK. A great place for the older crowd, but not so much for anyone under 30 without their folks.
