I love donuts. But these are you run of the mill variety. Lots to choose from but all the ones I’ve tried just don’t pack that WOW factor that I like in a great donut. But at $ 7.95 a dozen it will do. I will continue my quest for a great donut somewhere else on Katy.

Typically like shipley’s but today was the end of that relationship. Took my fiancé and toddler to get doughnuts of course. Got our order and sat there to eat. Ate for a good while, we started hearing this clipping sound. I didn’t turn around because I didn’t want to know the truth. But when I saw my fiancé’s reaction I knew it was true. The lady was clipping her fingernails at the counter, right in front of the store! Totally threw off our appetite and any future encounters at shipley’s for a good while.

My sons love going here for hot donuts. The donuts are good but the service is horrible. Employee’s in the a.m. no people skills what so ever. We said good morning they didn’t say anything, no smile, no thank you. not even«how may I help you» in english or spanish… they just stand there and give you the look of «hurry and get out» but if they are trained by the lady that’s there in evening no wonder why… she also has NOPEOPLESKILLS. I will take my business else where.

Pros: My sister and I grew up on this brand. Our parents owned one back in the 90’s. The hot donuts are warm, soft, and yeasty. Now that we live out of state, we’ve come to appreciate the Kolaches. No one has even heard of a Kolache where we currently live! Cons: When they’re not hot/warm, their donuts are rather dry. This location is always packed. The dumpster is in an odd location. My sister has missed hitting it on several occasions.
