NTB-National Tire & Battery

I took a tire in to get patched for my wife’s vehicle on Father’s Day, they called me back about an hour later saying it was ready. Best of all, they didn’t charge me a dime. Totally ripped my day, thank you John Johnson and team.

The store manager Victor and store associate Chase are extremely professional and helpful. Explained my options in details and took great care of me.

Pulled in with an emergency tire issue on Friday night as last employees were getting in their cars to leave with the Intension of just leaving it in parking lot overnight and calling them In morning. I live close. Two nice your men put my car inside bay and waited until my husband picked me up. This location has always been very helpful with all my tire issues.

New guy brought out a Veteran worker to diagnose if I needed a rotation on a worn out tires. They suggested no need for rotation nor buy new tires yet since it still has some life on it. It is a good feeling not being over sold and tricked by something compare to other NTB location that I have experienced in the past where they try to sell more unnecessary services and products. Thank you!

I usually go to Discount Tires, but I ended up at NTB after having a blow out on a Sunday (DT closed). They told me it was going to take 1.5 hours, so I purchased two tires and an oil change and dropped it off. When I returned to pick it up after 2 hours they said they were still waiting on a tire delivery from another location because they did not have the tires they needed in stock at their location. Discount Tire will check inventory before they make the sale to see if their customers actually want to wait on a tire delivery. Slightly annoyed at this point — I left again.
I came back much later at 5:50pm and my car was STILL in the garage. They said they were finishing up with the tires and it should be done any minute. After another 15 minutes they finally brought my car out and the manager started the payment process. Then he said he’d better check everything before I pay. Surprise, surprise…“Oops we forgot to change your oil. Please have a seat and it should be done right away.“
The point of dropping off the vehicle is to avoid spending hours at the tire shop. I don’t think these guys get it. To make things worse, my car interior was covered in grease spots all over the door handle and the steering wheel, including some scuff marks. I called the manager to tell him about the stains and scratches and he insisted on calling another shop closer to my home Monday morning to take care of it. It’s been over a week and I never got a follow-​up from the manager.
In hindsight, I should have left the spare on my vehicle and waited to see my guys at Discount Tire on Monday morning. The prices and tire selection are much better and there is no comparison on the quality of service. Never again NTB.

Interestingly, after writing to NTB national management, their regional folks called to apologize for the experience and inconvenience… a good indicator of customer service improvement. I appreciated it.
Nonetheless, I believe I’ll let others test any new customer service improvements.

I called ahead to get a price check on an oil change and tire rotation and the price was good so the employee suggested I make an appointment. I made my appointment at 2:30 after I was told it would only take 45 minutes to an hour. I arrived early at 2:15. After an hour my car was still not even in a bay. I asked a worker how much longer it would be because I made my appointment for 2:30 thinking I would have plenty of time to get in and out to make a 4:00 meeting. After I complained, at 3:30 my car went in and I was promised a 30 minute service. I didn’t get out until
The dumb thing was there wasn’t even 4 other people waiting ahead of me. A lady that was there before me even got tired of waiting and left without having her car serviced.
