I don’t shop here as often as I should but any experience here is amazing. The day that I went there were samples everywhere! This helps if you are shipping hungry as it will prevent you from buying items that you don’t really need. Sometime the samples do there job and you end up buying that particular product based on this experience. Another thing I found out is if you buy items at their seafood counter, they can prepare them for you. What other store does that? I don’t find their prices to be off base compared to other stores that I have shopped at. Just like some of the other local grocery stores, they have their own brands that cost a little less than the brand name items. You need to try them out for yourself to see if you like them. It’s a great place to shop and I highly recommend that you try them out.

We ordered a boutonnière for Cinco Ranch homecoming for $ 14 from a florist at LaCenterra. When we arrived at the arranged pick up time on homecoming day, they gave us an unrefrigerated almost empty container containing a floppy white rose with its too short stem wrapped in ribbon. We were incredibly disappointed in paying so much for so little. We scrambled and went to HEB and ended up with a very fresh and nicely presented boutonnière worthy of a special occasion for $ 11.

I typically love HEB but the last few times I have had there salads because its cheaper than most places to eat around here. Top of salad looked fresh but underneath the fresh nasty brown with red dots on leaf. Maybe it’s just this HEB. I have learned my lesson not to waste my lunch break!

My wife and I really like this store. They have a great selection and the prices are decent. The fruits and vegetables are fresh. The checkout is always fast, and the cashiers are friendly.

the pasta had weevils, as did dry pasta section, I showed the weevils to the«girl» putting stuff back that was left around the store her response«watta do yuh want us to do, we bought it too».

Crude, crass and pain in tne __s managers. I have never experienced such bad management than I have at this store and other Heb’s. Talk about a store that got too big too fast and forget there roots. Example 1. I wanted five pounds of craw fish. My son was home from Iraq for two week leave. Went to the Fry road store and the sign said craw fish 2.49 a pound. They always have a tub in the isle with them. This was a Saturday, no tub. Asked a counter person person for five pounds and was told that they did have some in the back but, I will have to go in the back and pick through the dead ones. I asked him if he was kidding? He said no. You want a customer to go behind the counter and serve himself. Told the store manager what the fish dept counter person said and he just laughed. Example 2 My wife has problems walking so she uses the electric carts. Every time we go to the Mason store they are not plugged in and invariably die in the middle of the store. Now she is stuck in the middle of the isle people are trying to get things from the shelves and giving her bad looks like she wants to be stuck. Four times I had to go and find a cart that is charged enough for her to finish shopping. I told the store manager and I was told that she came in the other door and they were charged and have a nice day. I will be a Randall’s, Kroger, now Whole Foods customer from now on.

The service at the registers is fast and just about nothing else. We had an HEB gift card that had been giving us trouble at the scanner. We let the checker know that at the register, but he ignored us and had us swipe it futilely about five times before he took it and entered the numbers manually. Manager’s approval is required to process this transaction — again, we’d already been through this and had told the checker at the start of the transaction. The manager arrived and we were finished checking out. But neither the checker nor the manager made eye contact with us or thanked us for our business. This is the third HEB in the Katy area we tried with the same gift card, and honestly, I’m glad the gift card is finished. We’ve had good visits to HEB elsewhere, but here, not really. We’ll keep looking for a store that values our business and greets us with a smile.

This HEB has been excellent compared to other local Katy grocery stores. Although, lately it seems this store has declined. Oddly enough, the notable decline occurred the same time a new HEB opened in old Katy at Pin Oak. Could it be that some of the key management relocated to the new store? These shelves are not managed as well: the pod coffee section is almost nonexistent now, lots of holes, expired yogurt in the dairy section, the bread section is often bare… I hope it gets better soon!

I go here when Im hungry.lol. They have LOTS of samples of food. I usually go on the weekend. Really I like this place because of the prices, used to go to Kroger but its pretty expensive there. This HEB is really clean and the pple are very nice. They have a GREAT selection of just about everything. HEB brand is just as good as the name brand, except mac n cheese(I think that goes for any off brand mac n cheese) stick with Kraft!
