De Vero Salon & Day Spa

I have been going to Sara since my family moved to Katy 12 years ago, when I was in high school. I live in Memorial now and I gladly drive to Katy to see Sara because she is simply the best! Sara is the only person I will let cut and color my hair; I’m very indecisive and I can always count on Sara to give me her opinion and recommendation, and she is always right! I trust her completely with my hair. I usually don’t like anyone else to touch my hair, but Sara’s assistant Rona is so sweet and talented, the two of them together are an incredible team! Sara and her team just recently did the hair and makeup for my wedding, and they did THE BEST job; I couldn’t have asked for better on the most important day of my life! Mariah who works at the front is extremely friendly and helpful with scheduling appointments. I can’t say enough good things about Sara and her team at De Vero… give them a try and I promise you will not be disappointed!

As a visitor in houston i found this place extremely clean and professional. Ronna did the haircut and colour for my wife, loved it so much but i wish we had her here in montreal. Ronna is one of the reasons i take my wife back to houston:)

I had an amazing experience when I went in to have my hair cut. The service is world class and all the ladies are helpful and attentive.
The hair cut was perfect and I will definitely be going back.
The décor is luxury upscale and very soothing.

I was kindly given $ 100 voucher from this DeVero Salon, Katy as a leaving gift when we left Houston last year. As we were so busy with the move I didn’t have chance to use it, so just tried to buy some products now as we are here for a Christmas visit. The owner said the gift certificate has expired and literally mimicked washing her hands of the conversation and walked off. How does money expire? It’s not a product or a food that goes off.

I’m updating my review and will never be back to this place again. I’ve home three times for brow waxing and the first two were great, the third was awful. I moved from Katy to Houston but returned to this place bc they had done a good job. After driving all the way to Katy I got a different woman this time and my brows are AWFUL. They don’t look even, they aren’t shaped well and it barely looks like any hair at all was taken off. It was a sloppy job and a waste of $ 20.

De Vero Salon & Day Spa is excellent! I cannot say enough about how much they helped me! I had a minor hair crisis from another non-​De Vero colorist (well major crisis, my hair went to shades of purple, to red, to orange, and finally settled on a lovely shade of YELLOW!). Sara, the owner, personally left the salon open after hours to give me a much needed consult. Mind you, she had never met me, but was willing to help. Then, she went even a step further and opened the salon early for me the next morning! She then went to work on my hair — all the while reassuring me that she could fix the mess the other non-​De Vero colorist had made. Within an hour and a half, she had me back to my blonde-​self. I was amazed! It was a miracle! I also agree with the other reviews, particularly the fact that the entire team is so nice and down to earth. I will definitely go back. I am glad I took a chance and tried De Vero — it was definitely worth it!

De Vero was recommended to me. I have curly hair and it’s very difficult to find someone who knows how to work *with* my natural hair. (Most stylists suggest I straighten it. I don’t like straight hair on me and I’d rather not spend precious time fighting nature in this department.)
Suzanne not only understood how to cut curly hair, but she was very helpful in providing easy styling tips. She answered questions directly and I never felt that she was trying to upsell me. She mentioned that she’s been at the salon for 3 years, which speaks to their work environment. All of the stylists seemed to be relaxed and enjoying their work. The salon was beautiful inside, and I noticed that most of the clients there with me that day are «regulars». I am delighted to report that my curly hair has found a new stylist. I would definitely recommend De Vero.

My experience with the salon is completely different from the above review. I was about to get married and wanted to get some blonde highlights on my shoulder length hair. I went to Devero per a recommendation, I ended up paying double what I expected,
Naively I thought that since I was paying $ 300 for a cut and color it would be good… And wedding pictures are forever. I wanted to make sure that I was getting the best hair coloring service around. The first time my hair was perfect. No complaints at all. The second time I went, I was not happy. I thought that it was just that my stylist was having a bad day and I went back again when I needed a touch up. Hoping that it would look like the first time. Nope. When I walked out, I had roots. Yup… Roots that were almost an inch long. I also had spots in the back that we’re not even touched with color. Even though I had paid for a full head highlights, there were huge patches of brown. I looked deeper and noticed that I had so many different colors of yellow in my hair… Yes, yellow, not the blonde that I had requested. I had streaky highlights. It was so bad! I had a friend even ask me why I would attempt to do my own highlights right before my wedding.
I had my bridal party booked and everything for updos. I cancelled all of the appointments and found another salon. After the wedding, I got a text messasge on my phone from my previous stylist telling me that she was no longer there. Explaining that I need to go and find her elsewhere and that she missed me coming in because I took care of her. So unprofessional!
When I got that text, I thought about going back. I thought that maybe another stylist would be able to do a good job. But, then I realized that it is the entire salon at fault and not just my stylist. They all saw what she did to my head, and they heard me say that it was not what I wanted. No offer to fix it. No offer of anything. The manager saw, and nothing, they let me pay that rediculious price and just walk out the door with roots. They are all at fault in my opinion.

Absolutely beautiful salon/​spa. Definitely has the feel of a high-​priced upscale salon but the prices are actually reasonable and they don’t have the stuffy, snobby attitudes like you would expect from a nice place like this. Everyone is really down to earth and the stylists really talented. I see Sarah (the owner) but I’m always looking around at the work the other stylists are doing and they really all do seem to do really great work. In addition to hair they also offer spa treatments. Really a nice place to enjoy a day of beauty in Katy!
