Cloud Coffee has closed. Sorry to see it go, but it had a horrible location. At its best, the coffee was excellent. The baristas on the other hand could use a corse on customer service. It’s closing is probably for the best. Which is sad because I’m all for small business… just not this one.

I read many reviews and decided it was finally time to try this place out, and what better day than a cold rainy Sunday?! Anyway, upon arriving I noticed that they had a sign up that they are moving, so glad I got to see the original location before the move. The layout is a bit tight, but I could see bring a friend or two to hang out here and have some coffee or tea. First I ordered an Irish Cream Latte, because it just sounded good and I wasn’t recommended anything in particular. The barista was friendly enough, but not chatty or focused on me– which as a former barista for almost 10yrs, I can understand IF you’re busy, but I was one of only three people there. On to my drink(s), the latte was decent, though the espresso was a bit weak and mainly just tasted the syrup. All in all, I’ll give the latte a 3 out of 5. Second I ordered a Vanilla Bubble Tea, to go, and well… it was not good. It was way too sweet, I felt like I was drinking vanilla ice cream. The amount of tapioca was fine, though less than what you get at most tea-houses in the area. Sadly I had to toss it out after a few sips, but I’m willing to try another flavor(strawberry is one of my favorites at tea houses, they just didn’t have any strawberry left this day). This bubble tea gets a 0 out of 5. I can see this café being a go to, I just need to be more specific with how much syrup I want, and hope the other tea flavors are available. As stated before, there was a sign saying they are moving, so hopefully they will reopen in a new location soon and will develop a bigger following, as I think there is a place for all idie coffee shops.

Cute little coffee shop that’s not too far from home. It has a relaxing ambiance perfect for studying, not to mention the free wifi. The barista was very sweet and patient with me as well.(:

This place is tucked away back by a car repair shop and behind a Shirpley’s. It seems a little forgotten, but has great character. It is nice to go to to sit and read or work on homework. I usually come by myself to do work, and I notice that many people seem to have the same idea. I love the coffee. My favorite is their vanilla latte. If you sit and stay they put your drink in a nice mug. They also have free wifi that is nice and speedy! Few tables outside for sitting is a downfall, but everything else is wonderful!

Cloud is really blossoming! Came back here after about a year, and the batista made some delicious drinks. I used to come here for nothing but the study-friendly atmosphere(quiet, speedy wifi and outlets aplenty). But the drinks this time were great. Try the honey badger!

The S.O. introduced me to this place today and I gotta say… I like it. I like it! Per the suggestion of the barista, I ended up getting a drink called the honey badger. Absolutely delicious! Definitely one of the better coffee drinks I’ve tasted. It’s a latte with some yummy things in it which I couldn’t identify(I’m gonna take a wild guess and say one of them is honey). I got mine iced — it was the perfect amount of sweetness, perfect amount of coldness, just perfect overall. My boyfriend got a hot latte which was pretty solid in my opinion. It was nice and strong, and had a pretty design on top. From my professional opinion(I was a barista at a café for like two months, so I’m obviously a professional in this field now), it was a good latte. The only downside of this place is that it got pretty crowded. We came here on a Friday evening around 5pm. When we first got here the noise level was fine(there were probably 3 other groups of people inside), but towards 7pm, the café was pretty crowded. However, it is a Friday night so I guess that might be a bit expected. Overall, I would definitely hit this place up again. Maybe just not to study on a Friday evening. But otherwise, I’d love to come back and get some more honey badger in my belly!

Neat neighborhood coffee shop. Surprise to see a few people camping out here on Friday nite??? Quaint, sorta feels out of place and as it should really be in a Cinco neighborhood. Rather than a strip mall off Mason behind another strip mall… lol. Courteous and friendly young lady behind the counter. Only downside she laid my straw on counter with her bare hands and it did not have a plastic wrapper. This is a hygiene issue no offering packaged strays and fact placing it is on a counter with no wrapper. No a germaphob, but I’ m just saying… Other than that I would try one more time.

Four star beverages, three star experience. I will simply start with my observation that from a quality standpoint, this is the best coffee shop I’ve encountered in Katy. Drinks are well crafted and while I find Katz’s beans to be ‘good but not great’, they do a nice job getting the most out of them. What dropped my review to three stars was my experience. While the young lady behind the counter was pleasant and while I acknowledge that I walked in 23 minutes before they closed, to be told that whatever I ordered would ‘have to be to go’ was somewhere between unusual and unfortunate. «Would you mind taking your drinks to go so I can walk out promptly at closing?» Perhaps. «I’m not staying a minute past closing and I’m not going to risk you not finishing your drink within twenty minutes.» Not in the service industry.

I am so happy I found this place. Cloud café makes a proper, unburnt and delicious espresso. I can’t say that about 95% of coffee shops in Houston. The location is a bit tucked away in a shopping center on Mason but the vibe is right as soon as you walk in. Great coffee, friendly service and steady free wifi — what more can you ask for

Cloud Café is a small, cozy, local coffee house that offers great espressos, coffee and bubble teas. My daughter and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. The place is small, but was busy with 2 – 3 study groups. Soft music was playing in the background. Luckily, we were able to find an empty table. My daughter had a strawberry-banana bubble tea and a piece of buttermilk pie. The pie was delicious, and my daughter loved the crust. Unfortunately, the bubble tea did not taste fresh, and she could only drink half. My coffee was delicious. Because this is a small coffee house, only one blend was brewed at the time, although I believe CC offers a french press. Thanks to Unilocal for the free espresso coupon. I tried the espresso and it was very tasty. We will return, but perhaps not for bubble tea. At least Kim’s Teahouse is nearby for that.

You get a free espresso shot on your first visit! The staff is friendly and they have so many types of drink. They even have game consoles, gameboards, books, free wi-fi. The atmosphere is really nice as well. :D

Oh wow… best cappuccino I ever had! The blend of coffee used here is Katz coffee. I read reviews about his expertise and being a celebrated coffee master and brewer. it lives up to the expectations. The location of the shop is a little weird. A run down place from outside, cozy inside. The only downside is the location. Had they been at a place like nearby La Centera at cinco renach, you would see customers line up for their shot of caffeine.

–Disclaimer– I’m an espresso snob. I’ve had some world class coffee and live in California where the delicious unicorn nectar is crafted properly. A business trip brought me to Katy for a couple days. Starbucks and McDonalds on each and every corner of this suburban city. I did the usual scavenger hunt search for a coffee shop and bumped into this place. Tucked away in a strip mall, Cloud Coffee is my ideal coffee shop; a mom and pop coffee bar that does real, Italian style drinks. Yes people, a macchiato isn’t 20oz of milk, syrup and high fructose corn syrup. First things first the espresso is on point. Not burned, not overly sweet and let me reiterate it wasn’t burned. I’d put money on the line and say that if you’re a Starbucks coffee drinker, you’ve never actually tasted properly crafted espresso. Espresso was on point and tasted just as delicious as some of the world class shops in San Francisco. People of Katy, this place is a gem. Give your Starbucks gift card to the homeless man and treat yourself to some hand crafted coffee. Support a local business, a local dream and local art.

I came here because I bought the groupon good for five drinks. The café is located in one of the most rundown shopping centers in Katy next to an auto shop. Once you open the door, you get passed the fact that it feels yucky from the outside. There’s really cool art everywhere, and both times I went there were several people sitting inside studying. It’s pretty quiet, and smells fantastic, so it’s a great place to sit a read or study. I’m not a big coffee drinker, but I bought the groupon for tea and milk tea. My first trip in, I ordered the taro milk tea. The boba/tapioca was far too mushy, and the taro milk tea didn’t have much flavor besides cream. Next time I tried the Thai milk tea. It was much better than the taro, but the tapioca was still too soft. On my third visit I decided to go for the Thai milk tea without tapioca, but they said they no longer carry the Thai milk tea powder. I couldn’t really find anything else on the menu I wanted, so I just left my three other drink vouchers at the café. Overall, the place was okay, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop in.

Decided to try this place out one day. The store front looks a little run down compared to the old photos posted. But gave it a shot anyways. The interior was pretty neat. Actually, this was my first café that hung artists’ creations to be sold. So that was cool. My husband ordered the Mayan flavored cold latte and I got the original bubble tea. The latte was delish; a hint of chocolate flavor and the cayenne gave it surprise kicks now and then. The bubble tea was a bit too creamy for me. Not enough tea taste in it but it was still good. Too bad we weren’t able to stay and enjoy the ambiance but first impressions on a «to-go» visit was very pleasant. Would definitely visit again!

Seriously?! How is a place that is serving mediocre coffee getting so many 5 star reviews. I’ve resided in Katy for nearly 20 years now, and sadly, I can confirm that hardly anyone here has taste buds. Welcome to the land of CiCi’s Pizza and cheap Chinese buffets. Can you find a GREAT restaurant here? Nope! Gotta drive 10 miles for that. The fundamentals of coffee are simple. If you want a good pour, buy good beans. The roast was burnt. You can taste it in your cup. You can make latte art to your hearts desire if that suits you but your coffee kinda sucks. This however is NOT a scathing review. I shouldn’t have had such high hopes for the place because I was let down at the first sip, but it does have a cozy and study friendly environment. I actually do plan on coming here again when the occasion calls for caffeine and free wifi. This café is pretty techie and has a number of games too so with its many smoothies/sugary drinks, I guess it is an appropriate chill spot for the teenagers as well.

Unilocal pointed me to this place during my weekend stay in suburbia. The storefront is pretty small and a little easy to miss(it’s almost completely obscured by an oversized Shipley’s). Once you find it, they have some interesting art on the walls, some interesting books on the shelf, and some decently interesting girls sipping coffee. As usual, I was on a mission for bubble tea. I ordered the original and my partner ordered the vanilla latte — both were tasty and light and the tapioca had a good consistency.
