Getting better each time. But who can beat this great view of the open scenery, except princeville perhaps. But for a local hangout this is very good. The blueberry pancakes got better, and that’s my favorite when the other chef was here. So, I am glad that the new chef is improving on this and the entire menu. Nice selections with good variety. If you are in the neighborhood, it’s worth the visit. Oh try to get a seat by the huge wide window!!! A must try, in my book.

Being a main lander I really had know Idea where to take my clients for an afternoon of golf and fun. Everyone at Kapolei was friendly and accommodating. Had a great round of golf and our boxed lunch was just what we needed to keep on golfing and enjoy our round. Later we had some really surprisingly great food at the clubhouse. the service was both friendly and timely. I would highly recommend the whole experience and can’t wait to go back when I visit again in the fall!!! K. Strange National Sales Manager QMI

Wow! I wish I had discovered this spot while I was still living in Kapolei. If you’re reading this now — yes, stop in to this place or make a reservation. Whomever is cooking up the dishes here deserves to know their worth. Prices are awesome, portions are good, taste and plating appearance are great. Parking is free! Mimosas in the morning– sure! They were made perfectly. My husband got the salmon benedict, our son the fried rice plate and I the Kalua pork benedict — everything was so yummy! Suggestion so that you don’t miss out– add the avocado! The only thing preventing a 5 star rating is the slow service. There were barely any staff members working on a Sunday. Our reservation was a party of 10 and although our waitress was nice — she had to ask if we could have a second coffee pot. The answer ended up being we have to finish the coffee pot one at a time, she cannot bring us 2 pots for our table. We thought it was odd, however we were celebrating so we obliged and carried on. It took long to check out and check in, this alone will not prevent us from returning. I see this place becoming busy and great. Weddings and other private parties are welcome here so explore Kapolei Golf Course! It is worth it!

Great place for breakfast! They have the best pancakes with the slightest bit of a crunch to them. Food snobs don’t look down on me, but one of the things I really liked was the super crispy tator tots! Unfortunately last time we went they are no longer on the menu. This place has consistent great food, friendly excellent service, and the view is beautiful with lots of birdies cruising around outside. We have never had to wait to get seated which is also a huge plus.

Beautiful view and wonderful food. Service was somewhat slow but what was interesting how one of our waitresses started ranting to us about her drama with our previous server. The food was great as well as the environment but the service could use some work with professionalism.

WEDDINGMENU: Came here for a wedding and the food choice was simple yet delicious! My favorite would have to be the salmon, glazed with this white sauce all over it. The prime rib was okay. It was little more rare(fleshy) to my liking. Usually you’d expect the outer layer to be the most cooked, almost burnt, and deliciously salty, BUT it wasn’t. It was cooked similar to the center of the meat. It wasn’t bad, it was just okay. There were also two different kinds of desserts served: bread pudding, and chocolate cake. Again, simple, but not overwhelming. As for the location and the outdoor setting, I love this place! It’s so pretty in the day, and still pretty at night. I’d definitely consider hosting an event here one day.

So there’s a new owner in the house and there’s a lot of changes happening. With everything else, change comes with time and patience. Let’s be reminded that this place is not super packed so don’t expect a lot of staff. But, the wait staff who is there are really friendly and pretty knowledgeable on the new menu. New happy hour menu is surprisingly extensive. Price and serving size are comparable to other happy hour places I frequent. If you want a bang for your buck, order the wafu steak, $ 11. Good size portion and super tender. Definitely a quality steak there. I say this, because I’ve paid $ 22 for HH steak before, at another restaurant, and it was chewy. Hate that. Oh, regular shoestring fries are available but not on the menu. I believe my side order was $ 2. Yummy with my steak! BBQ chicken is a mango orange sauce. Super yummy. Came with ranch sauce, but really no need for that. If you want spicy, they got that too!

We came here for my sisters birthday and it was amazing! Everything was up to par from the quick service to the delicious food! We were immediately seated and given menus upon arrival. Our waitress was extremely helpful when asked about different options and not to mention hospitable which is rare now days! The fried rice and blue berry cream cheese stuffed pancakes were absolutely decadent. This is surely a must try! We’ll certainly be back soon!

What the hell! Why not try this place out? It’s not far from home and it’s somewhere new to try vs the same ol’ same. So, headed over around 5 pm on a Friday night. The place was EMPTY. Dead. Dead. Dead. When we walked in, a very smiley middle aged woman asked us to pick a seat, so we did. We picked a table in the back and by the window. Nice view. The chairs, the tables, the everything… it feels like a corporate workspace lunch room. Not like, Google or Facebook lunch rooms but like, Cisco or Sun Microsystems back in the day kind of lunch room. It’s wide open, lots and lots of communal tables(makes sense to have here) and lame chairs and tables. Just lame. Do I sound high maintenance about this? Anyways, we were looking for food we saw in Unilocal pictures and there wasn’t any! The menu was limited to «Happy Hour» menu only and it was all«snacky» and«appy» stuff. Not what we were expecting but we went with it anyways. First of all, 3 pieces of shrimp constitutes an app? 2 tablespoons of poke in a martini glass for 7 dollars? Microwaved edamame in butter, overcooked? This is supposed to be good and fair? No. Just, no thanks. Our server was really nice, really nice, and it was worth a shot. But, no thanks and not again.

I agree with all the previous reviewers who gave this joint 3 stars or less. This restaurant used to be really good with the local menu and fresh fish. The menu shrunk to a predominantly Japanese menu. The waitress mentioned that the most popular entrees were the salmon/pasta and sizzling steak. The steak arrived sizzling, but it was tasteless. I actually had to use shoyu and ketchup! There was a white coating that I thought was salt or something, but again I was fooled. It was tasteless so it must have been cornstarch or flour. My guest ate the salmon/pasta and also mentioned there was no taste. The noodles looked like instant ramen! Do not eat here on a business meeting. I was really embarrassed and apologized. This place USED to be good. The 2nd star is only for the ambiance.

I love the menu options at this place and the view of the golf course through the glass doors/windows is awesome! Who knew there was a good place to eat if you just drive past walmart in kapolei which seems to just head toward residential areas or hot nothingness. I ordered the roasted garlic salmon. It comes on a bed of pasta mixed with veggies. Amazeballs! $ 13. So affordable. My coworkers and I went on a weekday for lunch. It wasn’t busy at all especially given the amount of tables and space available. Ample parking. I will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu.

Heard this place served breakfast so me and my breakfast loving wife had to check it out. Living on the west Oahu side of the island, the breakfast scene still has a way to go as far as offering choices like you would find in town so we were on a mission. Atmosphere — The landscaping and scenery was great, being that it was a restaurant within a golf course it was automatic. Parking was quite spacious, stalls wide enough and built to help golfers unload their clubs so the casual restaurant seeker only scores on parking. The restaurant itself was very spacious, decorated with modern décor. Tables were huge to fit big groups, table for four or couples like us who want a lot of space. Views of the landscaped course were visible everywhere with wall to ceiling windows everywhere. Food — The breakfast menu was quite small so were were hoping for food that reflected quality over quantity. We ordered the LUPCHONGFRIEDRICE and BLUEBERRYPANKCAKES. Both dishes were at or under $ 10 and both were enough to share and could yield 3 servings. The fried rice itself was very good, a lot of flavor comes through with the diced carrots, green onion and the big chunks of lup chong. The pancakes I believe we’re the star of the menu. They were super fluffy, moist and had the crispest edges. I’ve never had any pancakes that had edges crisp like that, it complimented the fluffiness of the pancake overall. Service — Upon entering we were immediately greeted and offered seats at our choosing. Menus were brought out right away thereafter. Our orders were taken promptly yet the food did take awhile to arrive. According to our server they had a private function going on at the same time and was very apologetic. Our coffees and waters were always refilled and plates were cleared timely. Server 101, nailed perfectly. Conclusion — I wish wish their breakfast menu had a bit more to offer esp with all the mouth watering pics here on Unilocal. The prices were reasonable and portions were very generous. Also I wish they marketed their buffet brunches more, whether it’s with advertisements in the restaurant or their web page. I would make an effort to try them if I knew when they were available. WEWILLBEBACK!

Food is good but service needs improvement. Starts off strong with greetings from staff as you enter. Drinks are promptly ordered but food took a while to be deliverd even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Once the food arrives, it seems to go downhill from there. Water not refilled and staff walks past table and doesn’t seem to notice that glasses are empty(or don’t care??). Iced tea and soft drinks not refilled unless asked for refills repeatedly. Here’s a common sense tip for management: use larger glasses for your iced tea and soft drinks if refilling them is a challenge for your staff. Why use such a narrow, long glass with lots of ice instead of a larger glass that can sustain more than three sips??! All in all, food is good(pictures posted of what we enjoyed) but service needs improvement… quickly! Another tip for management: Invest some time and money in training your staff properly.

I use to enjoy coming here but boy have things changed. The food is average and they take way too long to serve their guests for such a simple menu. Also, for the second time, they have items listed on their menu but not available to order. This is a rapidly growing city with the population expected to double in two years, management should pay attention before it’s too late. The reason I gave them two stars is the view of the course is beautiful, otherwise it’s a one star experience.

Overall Impression: Lovely ambience. Food was very good. I would come here again. Average price for lunch: $ 14 Tip: Use Entertainment Book deal for buy 1 entrée, get 1 free! Positives: –Great ambience. Beautiful view of the golf course, great interior decorating. –The pulled pork sandwich was absolutely perfect. –Prices are very reasonable considering the location –Very clean bathrooms –free parking Negatives: –the service wasn’t the best I really liked this place. We came for lunch. We had to seat ourselves, but that wasn’t such a big deal. We picked a nice spot over by the giant windows facing the golf course. Ambience: Beautiful view of the golf course. I thought the interior decorating of the place was also really nice. Kind of modernish and slightly fancy, yet has a low-key sort of feel, where you don’t mind wearing casual clothing. Almost like a fancy cafeteria(which has a bad connotation, I’m sure, but in this case it was really nice). Their bathrooms are really fancy and clean. Customer Service: This was the only thing I kind of had a problem with. After seating ourselves, it took a little while for our server to realize that we were there. She was pretty nice about it, though, and said sorry(we were over in the corner, so it was hard to see us). However, when I told her that I had an Entertainment Book deal on my app on my phone, she gave me a little bit of trouble with it. First, she had to check with her manager, and she took my phone to show him(slightly unprofessional, she probably should’ve either gotten him to come to me). She also kept saying over and over again about how she had«never seen that before», in a way that may have implied that it was odd that I was the only one that had it and I was making it up. Anyways, in the end, it got sorted out and then the service was fine after that. Food: The Pulled Pork Sandwich($ 14) was superb! I did NOT expect something so good. The foccacia bread was grilled amazingly, and was crispy and delicious. The pulled pork itself was made with some kind of sauce that was very good and there was a lot of it! Even the cole slaw in the sandwich was great. It was served with fries, which complemented it perfectly. I was very impressed. My fiancée ordered the poke bowl(an appetizer). That was very average. They used a little too much mayo and it didn’t look particularly appetizing. However, because the pulled pork was so good, I have to give this place a thumbs up on the food.
