Horrible service and not fast at all. All about making a fast buck with little or no effort in our needs. We tried to get a loan done but the loan officer and the owners kept giving us the run around and even lying to us on the rates and paperwork. Wasted money on my appraisal as it was useless and ended up going to a new bank who was faster and more friendly. Also be aware as our signatures seem to magically appear on documents that we did not know of; If you want a loan done with them expect to wait at least 90 days before closing if everything goes well. Other than that a new loan person may be more helpful then the one i dealt with. Just speaking the truth on my experience

I was recommended this company and specifically Joe Pickett as a loan officer by a friend while in search of a mortgage company to finance a townhouse I was buying from a coworker. At the time, I was selling my old residence and escrow took a week longer than planned. During this time I got emails from Joe asking when to start the process. I would tell him I couldn’t start because the sale wasn’t finished yet. No problem… Finally emailed him to start once my place was sold, met him and explained how much I was going to put down and that I was getting a gift of money from my aunt to help with the down payment. He explained a gift letter would be needed. No problem again… After turning everything on time, no emails or updates… no phone calls for almost all of escrow. Just generic emails of videos saying I’m pre approved and an email to join fantasy football… Until I hear from the seller’s realtor that he doesn’t return calls and didn’t turn in paperwork needed on time. Then the closing date passed with no update. Again hear from the seller that they asked for an extension but I’m not told any of this. I had to write a «stink» email for further updates. But why must I have to do this to get simple updates of what’s going on? First it was an issue with the association, then an address issue with insurance, then he needs the gift letter weeks after the first closing date and a copy of the check cashed more than a month ago! Unreal… once something seems to be resolved another issue comes up. Whenever I called their assistant loan officer she told me it’s just minor and everything would be ok. Not the case. After complaining you’ll get the same, «I’m sorry for the delay and if this caused you any inconvenience» — three times… When I called their other loan officer to tell her I can’t get a copy of the check because it’s so old and was a cashier’s check, but that I still had the check stub stating the check number and that it was a gift she told me «Misty, you’re going to hate me… sorry but we need it.» Seriously? Basically you’re telling me after a week and a half after the original closing date it’s not going to happen because you need a copy of a check cashed a month ago? Now they want a years worth of mortgage statements from the seller. The realtor who has been doing this for many years never heard of this. Ridiculous. I don’t expect anything but for someone to do their job and come through on time. I hate nagging but I’ve had to do this to get things«done» that still aren’t done. I have 9 days left on my escrow extension but it’s not looking good. Seems like my sale will not be going through. It’s pretty disheartening to hear from realtors as well as the title company that this person is never on time and has bad communication skills. My impression is that they are disorganized, don’t have communication skills and are never on time with things or will tell you they need something done on your time last minute. I would never recommend this company or Joe Pickett to anyone looking for a mortgage lender/broker!
