SFC Pimentel is a great recruiter. After little over a year of trying to join. He got me in. All I can say is he is one of those recruiters who will be there to help you and never give up as long as you don’t give up on yourself. What more can I say. He got me in even through all the obstacles that was being thrown in front of us. Most importantly I got the MOS I wanted. Don’t hesitate on giving him a call he’s a cool dude to work with.

SFC Pimentel is a great recruiter. He has helped me get my extensive packet to OCS and was able to take the time out to answer all of my questions during the process. He is willing to work with you and go above and beyond as long as you put in the work as well. Unlike some recruiters he will not rush you to quickly sign but rather let you do the paperwork at your own pace and time. I recommend that you ask him any questions you have about the National Guard and if he does not know the answer, he will refer you to the person who will. After going through my BCT and OCS class, I still keep in contact with him. He has a wealth of information about the National Guard and he keeps you motivated about joining it.

Joining the Hawaii Army National Guard wasn’t an easy decision for me. As the saying goes though, «Life is what you make it.» I could either walk passed another missed opportunity or I could take a chance and live outside of my comfort zone.
Sgt. David Pimentel, from what I’ve come to know, places others before himself. This is shown through his exceptional work ethic and more so in his charismatic personality — he’s not one who leaves people hanging or tries to make a quota just to look good on paper. It’s these types of recruiters that really make the difference.
Long story short, I’m happy to have made the commitment to join and Sgt. Pimentel continues to help me out in every way possible. Now-​a-​days when we’re used to people doing things pretty much when they feel like it, he really stands out as a take charge kind of guy. If it wasn’t for him and the impression made I probably wouldn’t have joined.
