Wonderland Vintage Unique & Curio

We wondered in here while in Westport this weekend. I didn’t have anything in mind, but when I have a choice, my style leans towards «eclectic» and this place fits the bill! Things are probably a bit more pricey than I’m used to (I spent $ 80 on a beautiful silk robe-​worth it, but if it hadn’t wow-​ed me away, I probably would have passed on it because of the price!), but everything really is one-​of-​a-​kind. Sometimes in vintage stores they’ll try to pass off newer items as vintage, but that is definitely not the case here. Equal mix of men’s and women’s clothing and good for costume jewelry and purses. Everything is authentic vintage clothing. The man who I presumed was the shop owner was super helpful and I’d bet he has a story about nearly every piece in there. Very cool. We will be back!
Also, there’s a small lot with parking across the street. I don’t know what it actually says about who can park there, but we had been at Mills Records prior to coming here, and it is definitely open to Mill’s patrons.

Really strange, cool place! Glad to have wandered in the other day. Although I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for, there was such a cast and unique selection of items that it was hard not to buy anything. The shop keeper was courteous and kind, and knows the different styles from vintage to current fashion. I’ll visit again as soon as I can!

The best vintage selection in KC. Clothing, jewelry and accessories and some décor. Funky, eclectic and unusual (in a good way). Good vibe, friendly staff and might I recommend the root beer barrel candies. Love, love, love

I love Wonderland! A lot of thought and hard work go into what you see in the store because it’s all carefully sourced by the owner. Because of this, he is very knowledgeable and can help you find just the right one-​of-​a-​kind item. The store is filled with unique clothes, jewelry, accessories, and art. Another thing I really enjoy is the way everything is merchandised, and they have expertly styled windows. So much fun!

Truly a Wonderland! Lots of styles in shoes clothes, bling and fun gifts. Andy is courteous and helpful. Check it out but allow to browse!

I visited the new location, and Wonderland has definitely expanded for the better.
The first time I visited the old location I left thinking «I’ll never buy anything here,» but I was wrong. Only a few weeks later I was looking for a specific item for a costume and realized that Wonderland was quirky and fun enough to have just what I needed. I browsed a bit, and then described the look and feel of what I was looking for, and the owner took me right to the perfect item to finish off my costume.
I’ve returned several times after realizing that no matter how big the big box retailer was, they just don’t have the same amount of interesting things. The employees are helpful, friendly and know exactly what I’m looking for.
I was also surprised to learn that they do rentals, too. Keep that in mind!

Hands down, this store has the best window displays in town. They are creative, fun and eye catching, all things that most store fronts in KC seem to lack. It seems to be a lost art that this store is happy to showcase, just like the vintage and curio items found within the store itself. These itms are lost no more, they are artfully found at Wonderland in Westport. Clothing, jewelry, knick knack this and knick knack that. Somethings are beautiful and somethings are tacky just as they should be in a store with the word «curio» in its title. I appreciate that there are as many options for men as there are for women. The couple of times that I’ve been in the store, the customer service has been helpful, knowledgeable, fun and attentive without being overbearing. What a great local store with a ton of personality.
