Five stars for Time Warner? Seriously? THE Time Warner? How can this be true? Enough with the back handed snark, this review is about Time Warner’s small business team who truly saved our bacon. I was tasked with setting up phone and Internet service when the company I worked for changed locations. My first choice failed miserably and left us in a tough spot. Time Warner, from the time my boss faxed back a signed contract, had us hooked up and humming in three days. They didn’t stop there. Our rep called to check up on us every month and even stopped in a couple of times to make sure things were working well… and they were. She went up and above what was needed and we were truly thankful. Unfortunately the business I used to work for, yes past tense, closed so we had to stop service. I will say that if you run a small business and you need a solid phone and Internet option, Time Warner is a good place to be.

Tried to enroll as a new customer online, always fails at SSN checks. So I call them and try to subscribe. However, they charge $ 5 more when compared to online price. Moreover, online they have an option to collect installation kit at a store and its free, over call they tell me it will cost $ 50 for installation. What a turnoff, even before enrolling as a customer. At the end, I didnt enroll. Wasted my 1hr. Luckily, Google fibre is coming in my area in a month!

The service is adequate, bordering on atrocious. The signal is worse than I ever had with satellite, in the country, surrounded by trees, in the rain. I am trapped by my building into having service from Time Warner and it really makes me angry. The internet connection goes down semi-regularly. The shows record with snow, static on the audio and worse. And my bill magically rises all the time. Ugh. Monopolies mustn’t be allowed. Service and quality suffer. Case in point.
