Don’t believe the video which is on the continuous loop showing how great this place is. It is nothing more then a subway type BBQ shop in a mall. The food is fair/poor at best, highly over priced and served by folks(one guy who comes and goes both mentally and physically) who could care less. Take the time to get away from the malls and hotel areas and enjoy what this town is famous for and will be served to u by people who care.

Went there for lunch today. Server was so unfriendly. When we got to the cash register; the young man spent 3 minutes texting before acknowledging us. Horrible service… when we paid we all got the $ 8.50 special. He charged us $ 9.25. Sorry. you don’t build your own tip in. We will never go back.

Great BBQ. Burnt ends, turkey and pulled pork were great! Cheesy potatoes and baked beans pretty good too.

Small place, great people working… very friendly. BBQ pork was great and the chicken was very good. Food could have been hotter food temp, but the sauce is awesome! Wife and I, and our 3 girls enjoyed it after Legoland. Not a big selection of sides, pop/water/tea for drinks. Go here for the BBQ.

Average food. Miserable service and adult meals overpriced. You can do better.

I’m guessing this place is run much different than when it first opened. It was being run by workers from the Mexican restaurant next door. The lady behind the counter did not know how to make the dinners. Now, I have had some great smoked turkey at BBQ places, but not here. The food was cold, the portion was small, and the service was not friendly. Finally, the soon to be famous sweet tea will never be famous. It looks like the awards were from the late 90’s. This place has seen better days!

Giving it one star because zero is not an option. My family and I walked in on a Tuesday at 530pm to order dinner. The employee on duty seemed annoyed that we walked in. After review in the menu, and ignoring the attitude, we decided to continue on with trying the BBQ. I started to place the order to the disdain of the employee. Mid-way through ordering, he walked away sighing heavy and obvious. At which time, we left. Sorry, no food rating. But, if customer servo is any indication, it is terrible.

I must say, having been to all the greats in KC(OK Joes, Gates, Bryants, LCs, etc.), I was pleasantly surprised with the burnt ends here. I didn’t have high expectations for a place in the mall, but man was I wrong. The burnt ends were low on fat and high on flavor. I had them with the sauce on the side, so I could enjoy the meat by itself and regulate the amount of sauce on each bite. However, the meat was very good so minimal sauce was used. The cheesy potatoes for a side item were also quite good. No question, the burnt ends were better than any place I have been(save for one of my many trips to OK Joes). I will be back.

Friday night outting in Blue Springs and my hankering for ribs got us to stop at the corner of Hwy 7& South Outer Road in front of the cigar shop. The food truck pulled through the parking lot has been tempting me for weeks and we finally stopped. For $ 20 bucks we got a slab of ribs with spicy sauce, a side of beans and a side of cheesy corn. There were two people ahead of us but the wait time was less than 5 minutes. I enjoyed the ribs. Probably some of the best I’ve had since Backdraft closed in Blue Springs a few years ago. I would have given more than 4 stars but I didnt enjoy the sides. The beans had some sort of seasoning that I couldnt identify. Make a very stange taste. I’m not sure I’ve ever tasted cheesy corn before but I definitely found it think and unpleasant. I will go back for ribs or to try another bbq meat — tender, smoky, the sauce was delicious.

I made an early evening visit to Three Little Pigs BBQ in Crown Center the other evening. It was an «uneven» experience. I was only a little bit hungry so I ordered the evening special of Two Sliders — one pulled pork and one turkey — with one large side order and a drink. The pulled pork was flavorful and it was complimented by the rather sweet BBQ sauce. The turkey slider was way too dry and chewy. For my side order, I chose the Cheesy Potato casserole and would gladly get that again sometime. Another person in my party ordered the burnt ends beef sandwich. It looked absolutely delicious and the meat was piled high on the bun. So if I make another trip to Three Little Pigs, I’ll try to go when I’m hungry and get the burnt ends sandwich and cheesy potato casserole.

Burnt ends were good but they were out of brisket at 11:30AM. I had the turkey instead, and it was very good. The cheesy potatoes are potatoes au gratin and very Betty Crockerish. Overall, it’s a good place.

The first thing you notice about Three Little Pigs BBQ is the extensive collection of trophies and ribbons that been awarded to them. The next thing that hits you is the delicious smell of BBQ. I tried the pulled pork which was moist and not too fatty. The spicy sauce was tangy, although not terribly ass-kickin’ hot. My sides were cheesy potatoes(like a cheese au-gratin/hash brown mashup) and a coleslaw with an Italian vinaigrette. This place is not your typical food court fare. If you’re looking for a place to eat in Crown Center, this is a no-brainer choice(save room and hit Sheridan’s for dessert).

I attended a conference at the Westin which was connected to the Crown Center… where I found this joint tucked in the food court section. While debating on where to eat, I saw several locals carrying a trayful of mason jars filled with some type of a concoction. «BBQ Sundae» was what they told me they were having for lunch. This is the best thing I ate in KC. The mason jar had baked beans on the bottom, then creamy coleslaw, topped with shredded pork, BBQ sauce, and a pickle spear. So good that I still have dreams of it after returning home. I didn’t get a chance to try the other items on the menu. The service was very friendly. The line is always long here, get there early. The mason jar was a nice souvenir as well!
