Very knowledgeable and helpful. No overselling. I have been in this store three different times now and have always been offered outstanding customer service. Today I finally tried the tea bar and was told you can try anything in the store. Very nice touch, that way you don’t end up with a drawer full of teas you don’t really like. I tried a Tangerine Rosemary tea that is sold in one of their prepackaged gift boxes. I was really surprised they had that available to try, since it looked as if it was from a vendor whose teas they may not carry. The tea was fantastic! My favorite tea from here is the Jasmine Cherry Blossom Tea, but I will continue to try various teas now since they offer this as part of their tea bar service. Also, their various non tea items are very beautiful(mugs, brew cups, t-shirts). Very cool place with a super chill vibe. Also, you can bring your empty tins back for more tea with 10% off.

I absolutely love visiting this shop. From all of the loose leaf tea, to the teaware, to the classes about tea and general wellness, to the tea bar, to the quaint décor, to cute little Gatsby, this place has everything a tea lover can ask for. There’s also no shortage on discounts! When you get one of their tins you can bring it back for 10% off your next purchase! I’m a green tea fanatic, and I highly recommend their sencha, berry wellness, and japanese cherry. They also sell Aiya brand matcha which is some of the best tasting and cleanest matcha I’ve tried.

I have been shopping at the Tea Market ever since I saw Stacie at a Holiday Mart and bought a sampler from her. I could not tell you how many tins of wonderful teas I face when I turn my kettle on. The classes are informative, enlightening, and you get to taste teas! And the tea bar is an excellent way to try a new tea or a different preparation method. I will continue to be a loyal customer of this lovely store.

I absolutely love this place! Their blood orange tea is worth the drive to Brookside from far south Johnson county! If you love tea, this is the place to go. Great staff and selection, cute shop and lots of programs besides tea to check out.

This last week was my second stop in the store in two months, and I’ve become a loyal customer. The employees are very helpful, nice, and informative. I was convinced I hated everything but black teas, but decided to try one of their seasonal whites. I absolutely love it! The teas are fresh and there is a lot of variety. Any tea lover is sure to find teas they’ll enjoy. I’ve found about 10 so far. The teas are reasonably priced, and there is a good variety of teas in each category. Also, the store is always immaculate, and they have a tea of the day where they offer up samples. Plus, it’s always good to support small, locally owned businesses.

What a great shop in a great shopping district. Tea Market sits in the unique line of shops of Crestwood. Fresh loose leaf teas line the wall along with every accessory one would ever need to enjoy a great cup of this beverage. The store is charming and well appointed. The employees are truly wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. This place has turned my on to the benefits of Matcha green tea… damn you Tea Market, it’s not cheap yet it’s fantastic. The prices throughout the store seem very reasonable. If you are in the market to explore the world of tea, check out this local spot and support a local business.

I find it hard to believe these people were anything but pleasant to anyone. Very welcoming and helpful, and the cinnamon tea is heaven!

First time customer. Stacie(the owner) and Lexy(a stalwart and mighty smart employee) made it easy. The store itself is charming and warm, as welcoming as a hot cup of tea. Stacie and Lexy were immensely knowledgeable about the product and were quick to offer samples when I expressed interest. Despite my being a neophyte(tea-ophyte? Are we punning? Is that cool?), I was never once made to feel stupid or out of the loop. I left with tins of Earl Grey and Darjeeling and a sample of something called An Ji Bai Pian. Also, their sample setup with a nice pot of Winter White Earl Grey and assorted tea cups was delightful. Tea Market, you’ll be seeing me again soon. Ack! That sounded like a threat. Sorry. Regards to Gatsby.

The store owner was rude and unwelcoming to me and my friend to a point that we rushed our purchase and left. We even told the lady we drove about 30 miles to visit her store but she seems like she has not seen any brown skinned customers before. Was shocking how she would come up to is and ask what are you going to buy so I can pack your stuff with 5 – 10 mins of us getting in the store. Never again will we ever step into this store :(

Yes. I’m on board with this concept. So knowledgable and friendly. With all of this high tech YUMMY tea and tea paraphenalia, it’s so great to have lovely places to go ask questions and know your dollars are being spent locally!

LOVED this place!!! My foodie friend from KC has been sending me their tea for the past few Christmases, so of course I wanted to go there in person when I finally made the trip out there. I was NOT disappointed. There are a wide variety of all-year round teas and always some seasonal favorites. Some are even so popular that they make it onto the regular menu! Stacie, the owner, greeted us right away and offered us a sample of the day’s flavor. Her little Havanese, Gatsby, also helped to make us feel right at home. She is extremely knowledgable about teas and her«tea degrees» are prominently displayed. It is clear she takes pride in keeping up on the latest information on all things tea. She even sells tea pockets to take while traveling. Pu Erh fans, this tea rocks. I know this one is an acquired taste, but I really liked it. I’ve also had their Caramel, Macaroon, Hot Cinnamon Spice(like a cup of Red Hots) and Masala Chai and am looking forward to trying the new ones I brought home with me. Definitely worth the trip if you are in town – and locals, if you aren’t currently shopping there you SHOULD be!

What a great little local shop! Like most shops around the area, its hours are inconvenient for anyone with standard job hours, but that’s the only place I can knock them on. The store is bigger than it seems from outside, and is very clean and spacious, with a comfortable layout. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It has a great wall of loose leaf teas, as well as a great selection of bags as well. Also accessories to make sure your tea is made to perfection. I love just sniffing the tea samples that they have of each kind, but in the end I am boring and love plain green tea. If you’re like me, I do recommend the Dragon Well, which is extremely similar to the amazing teas I’ve had in China(including in Zhejiang Province, where the Dragon Well comes from). After tax, said tea was about $ 10 for 2 ounces, which will last longer than it sounds.

A lovely store in beautiful Crestwood, this business is one of a kind in Kansas City. «Specializing in Premium, whole leaf, specialty, all natural teas– orthodoxically produced and sustainably grown from the finest tea growing regions of the world». Check out the website it’s terrific too! Offering the best tea kettles, pots, cups and equipment that the tea lover could want.(I was impressed by the tea pots, mugs and cups for sale, produced by local artists.) The owner, Stacie Robertson is certified and extremely knowledgable offering Classes such as Tea Basics which I attended this Saturday morning. I learned a great deal about one of the things I love best… TEA and was delighted to find a few more varieties to try out. Classes have limited seating so signing up early is a must. Stacie is available for private classes and special engagements for a fee. What you won’t find are tea mixtures for cramping, bad feet, sore throat, weight loss, ingrown nails etc. What you will find are herbal blends, white teas, green teas(the best I’ve ever had), oolong, and black teas that will lift your spirits, calm you down, stop a craving, wake you up, soothe your soul and have natural healthful healing properties. Dried fruits, flowers, essence, root, seeds, spice and smoke enhance some blends. Tea Market has 90 different teas stored perfectly and boldly displayed, sold by the ounce and placed in tins. Sampler collections available and always a tea to sip while you shop. If your buying for a friend get a gift bag, they are awesome.

This tea rivals anything you’ll find in Europe. It’s very high quality and reasonably priced. Thank-you for making good tea available here in KC!

If you love to brew a good cup of tea, you should definitely visit the Tea Market. There are many different types and flavors, nearly all of which are displayed with an accompanying tin from which one can sample the scent of the leaves. The Tea Market has a variety of tea accoutrements, but the real reason to visit this store is for the tea. Yum!

This is a wonderful place. They have great selection of teas, snacks and supplies. Stacie also has classes on weekends that cover all subjects. You get to try many different teas for a small price. Thanks.
